Connect the subwoofer to your Samsung soundbar

Samsung Soundbar - Connect the subwoofer

You do not have to worry about navigating a complicated process when it is time to set up your home theater system. The soundbar and subwoofer should connect automatically when they are turned on, making enjoying your entertainment super easy. If for some reason they do not, you can connect manually just as easily. If you have not already, you can visit our site to purchase soundbars and subwoofers.

Note: The provided information refers to Samsung Soundbar sold in Canada. The available settings may differ for devices sold in other countries. The subwoofer automatically turns on when you plug in the power cord, and is configured to connect with the included soundbar only.

Connect the power cords for the soundbar and the subwoofer, then plug both of them into a wall outlet. Turn the Soundbar on, and the subwoofer should begin to connect automatically.

Automatic connection

When the subwoofer is completely connected, the blue LED LINK Indicator on the subwoofer stops blinking and glows continuously. If the blue LED does not stop blinking, the process has failed.

Note: In most of the cases, a connection issue can be fixed by unplugging only the subwoofer, while leaving the soundbar plugged and active. Wait 5 seconds, and then plug the subwoofer back. Please contact us whenever you need assistance.

Note: If at any point you need to pair the subwoofer manually, such as when the soundbar or subwoofer have been serviced or replaced, or after factory resetting the soundbar, or if automatic connection does not work for any reason, then reconnecting them manually is easy.

1 Connect the power cords for the soundbar and the subwoofer to the back of each, and then plug both into a wall outlet.
2 Use a small pointed object to press the ID SET button on the back of the subwoofer.
Use a small pointed object to press the ID SET button on the back of the subwoofer.
3 Continue holding until STANDBY turns off and LINK (Blue LED) blinks quickly.
4 While the soundbar is turned off, press and hold Mute on the remote control.

Note: Some soundbar models have an ID SET button on the soundbar that can be used instead. Otherwise the remote is required to perform ID SET. If the Mute button does not cause ID SET to occur, try holding the Up button instead. If neither of those work, consult your soundbar's user manual for instructions.

5 Continue holding until ID SET appears on the soundbar's display.
6 To finalize the connection, turn on the soundbar while the subwoofer's Blue LED blinks.
7 The main unit and the subwoofer are now connected and the Blue LED should be solid. If the Blue LED is still blinking, the process has failed. Turn off the soundbar and start again from Step 2.
