How to reset your PIN when locked out of your Galaxy device

If you are locked out of your Galaxy device and need to reset your PIN, you can do so using another device that is connected to the same Samsung Account. As well as this, for security reasons we recommend changing your Samsung Account password.

Please note: You will know if your device is in Lost mode if the “Phone locked” screen appears differently, like in the image below:

How to reset your PIN in SmartThings Find

Step 1. On another device, go to the SmartThings Find website and log in to your Samsung account

Step 2. Tap the device

Step 3. Tap Lost mode off

Step 5. Enter a PIN, an emergency contact number (optional) and a message to show on your lost device (optional) and tap Lock

Step 6. Enter your Samsung account password to confirm your identity and tap OK

Your device is now locked. It can be unlocked with the PIN you have set.
