What is Vision AI Companion on Samsung TVs
Vision AI Companion is Samsung’s advanced conversational AI service that allows users to interact naturally with their Samsung TVs.
Using Bixby or the AI button on your remote control, you can get intelligent search results about anything that is on the screen, content recommendations and access to Smart Hub services. Vision AI Companion also provides multi-language support, as well as features like Live Translate to help you enjoy content in other languages.
Please note: In order to use Vision AI Companion, users must be 18 years of age or older and have a Samsung account. This service requires an internet connection.
How to access and use Vision AI Companion
All you need to do to launch Vision AI Companion is press the AI button on your Samsung smart remote or long-press the Home button if your smart remote doesn’t have an AI button.
Please note: The first time you use the service you will need to review and accept the Privacy Notice.
Once you have opened Vision AI Companion, press and hold the microphone button to talk to Bixby and interact with the companion.
You can also select and navigate to related queries and AI-generated answers.
You can launch the AI Companion when you’re watching content on all sources, from live TV and Samsung TV Plus to OTT services such as Netflix and YouTube.
Please note: Some features are not supported by OTT services.

- Live Translate: Get real-time translation for on-screen dialogue.
- Generative Wallpaper: Create dynamic wallpapers based on your personal taste.
- AI Picture, Active Voice Amplifier Pro and AI Upscaling Pro: Picture and sound settings are automatically adjusted to optimize your viewing experience.
- AI Gaming Mode: Optimise your gaming experience to get responsive, immersive gameplay.
- Copilot by Microsoft and Perplexity: These are available as standalone AI agent apps. They can help you to increase your productivity and extend Vision AI Companion’s functionality.

What to do if the AI Companion appears on the TV home banner but the button isn’t responding
If you’re having trouble accessing the AI Voice Companion or the AI button isn’t working, you need to update the TV’s software to the latest version.
To update your TV go to Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now.
