I'm on my second replacement monitor which also has the widely reported fault of diagonal lines across the display. There are hundreds of comments about this issue but Samsung support claim they know nothing about it. This is a very expensive monitor and this manufacturing issue should have been fixed before product launch.

are you kidding? this review certainly will not score me any prizes but needs to be said for anyone thinking of Samsung products. Received my monitor with dead pixels on arrival and I've spent the last 2 weeks trying to get a resolution. I've called the 1300 number multiple times which timeout after 25minutes of waiting, I've sent emails with no reply, and I've even gone into store who tell me to use the number or email for a resolution. I've purchased 2 split system aircons, fold 5, watch 6 classic, your best surround soundbar and this monitor within the last 5 months and since now dealing with Samsung support, I am deeply regretful for all purchases. Good bleeding edge products (for the most part) but customer care is completely absent. (at least in Australia)

AWESOME monitor, the only con, is that the instructions are extremely brief and crap. Theres no manual to explain how to properly set things up with multiple computers, just a crude drawing. No explanation on how to appropriately set the setting sup for multiple computers/monitors. You kinda just need to wing it and hope for the best. After some trial and error i got things working, but my wireless USB seems to go inactive if not using keyboard/mouse for a few mins, then lags, as it takes a good 20 seconds before it reactivates. Never had this problem when it was plugged directly to my laptop, seems to be something in the monitor
I recommended this product.

So upgrade time, previously a Samsung 43” which managed to satisfy my unix/linux admin, and gaming needs. Simply wow, Samsung has punched out a beast! A 57” beast to be precise. I’m not going to bore you with specs. I will simply and honestly be straight forward with my opinion. Super immersive, the size is simply perfect! Running multiple Citrix sessions, terminals and web browsers is easy, and I feel way more productive with how easy it is to tile my windows… I am soooooo happy, but for the gaming side of things, I now have to upgrade from my trusty Intel Nuc “skull canyon”… but that’s okay! Best monitor ever! The curve is perfect, non-neck twisting issues.
I recommended this product.

I've only been using this monitor for about a week and so far the image quality it far better than the previous 15 year old LCD monitor I was using. All the features are great. Overall I'm very impressed with this monitor and happily use it every day, HOWEVER, 1. With local dimming I've noticed a lot of blooming especially when using it in a dark room. 2. The viewing angles aren't great when viewing it from anywhere that's a little off the center. 3. The monitor becomes very hot when HDR is turned on. 4. The monitor stops responding several times a day. By that I mean the buttons to control the monitor settings stop working so I can't even power it off. When I put the computer to sleep, instead of the monitor going to stand by, the screen simply turns black while the Infinity Core Lighting stays on. When I turn HDR on or off in Windows, the screen just turns black. All of this seems to require the monitor to be powered off at the power point and then on again for it to reset everything and act as it should.

I purchased this monitor and used it for about 5 months now and I can say it's a good monitor and delivers what Samsung says, but the problem is with the KVM physical key and auto switch features. The monitor does not auto switch every time you change the input. Some times you have to use the tiny physical button under the screen to switch to the new device connected. KVM is also physical and it does not switch between the two sources automatically. You have to use again the tiny silly button to switch between the two sources. For a monitor with that price tag, there should be an auto switch KVM and more efficient auto switch mechanism. In addition, the area where you should insert your sources connections are very narrow area.

Brought this monitor, had to get it shipped Local Melbourne as they wouldn't ship to my state. (From Tasmania) So Had to make a bit of journey over there to get it. So far so good, Its quite impressive compared to the older G9 49inch. (I've had all 3 now). I'm going to be using this for work and play. Work: having multiple windows open side by side is awesome, I won't use the dual monitor feature as its easier to use windows power toys to section out your workspace for easy snaping of windows. The little bit of extra height has already made a massive difference with my workflow for designing and catching up on emails. Gaming, this will be mainly used for RPG or First person shooters, I could see this working awesome on a sim rig. Quick test and everything is good on the First Descendant.

It's so good, I've been using it for a few days now and it's been amazing for productivity. First time in my life I feel like I have enough screen real estate. For gaming it would be amazing, but my 3080 isn't quite up to the task yet. I think gaming on this will really be perfect once I get my hands on a more powerful GPU that can handle duhd at 240hz. Right now with the 3080 I am getting about 60hz in most games at duhd and maxing the refresh rate (120hz) when downscaling to dqhd. Just to conclude, this is the ultimate monitor, I highly recommend.

I received this monitor a week ago and so far it's better than I expected. Bright images display nicely and have plenty of screen space. Games look amazing when run in full resolution but unfortunately can only manage around 60 FPS on my 3090 on ultra settings. Nvidia also don't allow for 240hz on full resolution. (120hz Max) An option to disable the optimise screen notification would be useful as it continues to tell me to set PC to full resolution at 240hz. Definitely a great monitor for future proofing as a graphics card capable of giving the best performance will be some time away.

Fantastic monitor, great service. When I first got it, it had some lines across the bottom of the screen, and they arranged for someone to come and look at it, but before that could happen, the lines went away and have not returned. The only downside with it is that when connected to my Mac Mini, when it goes to sleep overnight and wakes up again, it has forgotten the high resolution settings and I have to reboot before it will go full resolution again. This is an Apple problem though, so I can't fault Samsung on this. Samsung have said that they will push Apple to fix this issue.

The product has quality issues. LCD artefacts, and thermal expansion popping sounds. Mini LED backlight gives unbearable halo effect, and not to mention can leave windows mouse almost invisible against a dark background.

I bought this monitor 3 weeks ago. It's a go monitor, the image is awesome, but for me three things making using this monitor is so annoying: 1- The 1000R is so annoying. It takes the whole space on the desk and it's an aggressive curve that requires to turn the head all the time to reach the edges. 2- The mounting holder location and screws are so hard to reach and deal with. Also, the connection ports are so hard to reach. 3- KVM feature is a physical button and not smart/auto KVM. You have to use the button and click it each time when want to change from source to another in PIP/PBP modes. As for the 240 kh and the display port 2.1port, then even my RTX4090 is not compatible and not all the monitor's features are utilised, only AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX is for now.

I bought this 2 months ago, This is a fantastic monitor, I never knew i needed Curve until using a curve monitor. I started with the 49 inch samsung, which was amazing, but the 57 inch samsung curve, the curve is 1000 curvituare and its next level, i love this thing, its the best monitor i have ever used.

Already has a dead pixel. Logged a warranty call and am now waiting on someone to come out and fix this. Spending this much money on a monitor to have it already need a warranty call is very disappointing. As for the rest of my experience it is quite good for work and gaming

Purchased this monitor a month ago overall experience is great, First of all, delivery arrived three weeks earlier than what Samsung told me which was great. I use the PBP feature with my work laptop and full DUHD for my PC. This gives me less fuss compared to the last setting which I had to fight with the multiple buttons now I only have to deal with one button. Sadly I can't make use of this monitor's full functionality at this stage but that also means I can use this for at least 5 more years more

I just picked up this monstrous 57-inch gaming monitor and I am over the moon with how good it performs and the colours it produces! Samsung were great with their communication and delivery was sooner than expected which was even better. Delivery drivers were also very careful with transporting it so a big thanks to them for getting it here safe and sound. 10/10 love Samsung.

Top of the line in both specs and utility. I primarily purchased for productivity and it is serving me well. I wish it included power delivery option and a thunderbolt port. Other than this I notice that sometimes the monitor does not retain the display arrangement when swithing between different computers. Not sure if it is specific to the monitor or my laptop

This is the perfect form factor for me so had to give it a go. It's very expensive for what it is. The viewing angle is pretty limited, so you have to be very centered to get good results. My biggest gripe is the heat this thing throws out, you can feel it radiating like a cozy fire!

Not a bad monitor and would be a 5 star if it came with OLED. This monitor can look really good with deep blacks and bright highlights, they can have some motion blur and a glow around bright objects, it’s also very very bulky so if you are mounting this, make sure it doesn’t tip over. Given it’s a VA panel, it could have been priced lower. Otherwise, it’s great for my needs.

A near perfect monitor. The panel itself looks amazing, and the sheer size is just what I was looking for. Much better than having 2 separate 32inch monitors. People can talk about how amazing OLED's are but if you use your setup for work then I say this is the better option. At the end of the day the colors pop here as well. Monitor arrived with ZERO dead pixels which was fantastic. On a side note, for the FIFA fans you can almost see the whole pitch when playing on this screen, which is impressive. Also a quick word about Samsung's service in ordering online and the ease of use from the Samsung store app: Top notch service in my opinion. It even arrived earlier than was expected which made me so happy. Ofcourse I was notified in advance by Samsung on the date change. The monitor does take up a lot space on the desk with those huge feet the stand has but its understandable. I will be purchasing a monitor arm when possible, as there are no arms that can support the G95NC at the moment. The curve is really aggressive, I had no idea till I saw it with my own eyes, however, it's really growing on me. I notice that I'm not turning my head hardly at all despite using the whole screen and I realised its because of the curve. As long as you sit the correct distance your eyes can see most of the screen. This monitor would make my head spin if it was a flat panel no doubt, so good job Samsung in choosing 1000R. Connectivity-wise it has a lot of features and honestly the ports work just fine for me. I've connected a powered 12-port USB hub to the monitors USB port and left the second port free for monitor firmware upgrades. This way switching from PC1 to PC2 connects all devices to my other computers connected to the monitor. It gives you the ability to set the USB PC1 or 2 to each video port so I can connect up to three pcs to my monitor. I even use the last video input by connecting it to my main PC (2 video cables to the monitor DP & HDMI), this way I can split the monitor to show my main pc as 2 monitors which is a very handy feature to have. My only gripe and this one I believe is really important is that the monitor does not come with a remote to handle PBP, PIP, input switching, USB switching etc... as the interface at the bottom of the screen is very hard to use when you need to be switching to PIP mode and back often. It does have shortcut keys which really helps, but I'd have payed a little more for a remote control which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. Also the switching between USB PC1 to PC2 and vise versa could be a bit faster. Yes, its a rough call but if you use the monitor the way I am using it you would understand why I'm giving it only 4 stars. Despite the one pitfall, the monitor itself is just what I was looking for and will be using this for years to come.

I was really excited about getting this monitor. Having moved though from an IPS to this VA panel, while the screen realestate is great, find the quality of the picture average when it comes to text, as I use it for programming. It isn't a horrible screen if you use it for games, which I guess what it was made for in the first place.

I purchased this as my EOFYTHING and was wanting a single monitor large enough to fit three 'screens' onto. The reason for wanting a single monitor was primarily for neck and eyes - so that I am always looking at the same distance and height (difficult to achieve with separate monitors). The curved angle makes it natural, and I can definitely fit three screens. I also am currently not having to wear my glasses as a result! I was also having difficulty extending display from my Mac to more than one monitor, and this has resolved that issue. It's designed more for a Windows based computer than a Mac, but downloaded an App called 'Rectangle' for a Mac - this has enabled easy splitting of the screen. The only downfall is that it's not easy to change what is plugged into it after you've set it up.

I have had the new 57inch Neo G9 for about 3 wks now, after upgrading my 49 inch Odyssey before it. I've been waiting for the higher resolution on this one, and the new Qled, so was excited to also see the size had been increased also. One of the best parts of this monitor vs the 49 inch, is because it's slightly taller and wider, even with the same 1000R curve, it's not as pronounced, to the point where I don't notice any curve at all now, and pages don't seem curved, even though my eyes grew used to it on the 49 inch. It still wraps around your peripheral nicely, has the same easy access ports with the neat white cover to hide them, and still is massive on a desk. The RGB lighting is good, albeit a bit weak, and I mounted mine on a monitor mount that could handle the nearly 20kgs minus stand this weighs, but the stand it comes with is sturdy. The colour of the VA panel is really impressive. By setting the menu just right, you can combine the brightness to a lower level while the contrast is set mid level at 50% to get excellent tonal range. I calibrated mine with an Xrite colormunki and was able to achieve almost 100% SrGB, and perfect Delta values. The adaptive sync works well as does G-Sync. There is refresh rate adjustments in the OSD as before along with a plethora of settings for input, virtual aim point for games, picture modes, (7 of them ) custom settings you can save and more. Picture in picture works flawlessly, I'm running a surfacebook on 1 side in 4k, with work remote desktop on, and Call of Duty on the other. You can split the screen into any size you want as well very neat. The greatest picture quality settings have to be the local dimming, which you can set from low to high or off. This produces excellent black levels and rich contrast. You also have a contrast enhancer which goes further and with the local dimming matches the best look for content in any particular area of the screen at the same time. There is a keyboard USB hub, sound settings for the input jack, off timers, pc/av mode and you can choose the USB mode. Design wise it's very attractive with the white back and lovely clean black bezel. Build quality is superb. at 240hz the gameplay is incredible. Please note however at full resolution only the AMD 7900XTX card will drive the screen at this time, (April 2024). 1440 game play at this size is almost ideal, especially racing sims, this is the ultimate display. The edge of the car in F1 wraps around you as does dirt rally. In FPS like COD or CS the action is centred but you can see around buildings in your left and right without having to turn your head, and with the right graphics card, it's buttery smooth. An easy shopping experience on Samsung website, traded my old monitor and bought during a promo, what an excellent upgrade. Couldn't be happier with this monitor and exceptional gaming monitor, awesome productivity monitor too as I run massive spreadsheets for work, no more scrolling sideways, and everyday with HDR tone mapping along with custom view settings is great for videos, movies and general pc work. I highly recommend this product to anyone wanting the best future proof monitor with excellent colour and speed, for gaming or everyday.

I brought this monitor 6 months ago and I am loving it so far. Gaming experience have been next level with a RTX 5090. Make sure you have a suitable graphics card that can handle this beauty. I moved from RTX 5070 to 5090 and experience the full quality of the monitor. Yes there is a slight glow but if the monitor is at the correct eye level then there are no issues. I am using the monitor to game and work from home. Would be beneficial if samsung can add a remote to this monitor.

I bouvght this monitor a couple of months ago to replace two smaller Samsung monitors, and this is a big improvement in terms of quality and ease of use. The picture quality is excellent and it is much easier on the eyes than two monitors side-by-side, which leads to different parts of the picture being different distances away. I work from home most days so I get a lot of use out of it and I highly recommend this monitor - probably the best monitor I have ever owned in 20+ years. The couple of things to be careful of with this monitor are (a) it's big and it's heavy - so you will want to consider how you are going to mount it and/or what sort of monitor stand you use, and (b) there is a film on the monitor screen that it comes with, this is NOT one you can or should peel off, but an integral part of the display.

Great screen with only a few minor annoyances. When using PIP mode any screens that don't have an input assigned will display a missing input prompt instead of just staying black. Lighting zones are good for the most part, there has been some weird artifacts with how it determines the brightness of each zone but for the most part works as you would expect. PIP mode layouts work really well and just the general feel of the screen is great.

This is seriously THE most amazing monitor I've ever seen. I bought it for Flight Sim, but gaming and productivity is amazing on this. I can open multiple windows, and makes transferring between windows so much easier. But it's a whole new experience when it comes to viewing gaming, and finally I have a monitor that takes full advantage of my 4090 graphics card. I love this thing! Only thing I'd like is a smaller stand, as it does take up a lot of desk hardware, but that's a small price to pay for something this good. I nearly bought the OLED 49". but was worried about burnout, and really, this thing kills it. I don't see the shadows on white lights on black some mention, probably cause I've not seen the difference, but it's seriously brighter than my last 27" OLED, and it makes games like Doom Eternal incredible. For the price, you can't beat it!

This is the greatest PC monitor I have ever owned. Everytime I sit down to use my PC I feel so lucky to have such a device. This monitor brings my family and I so much joy. My wife needed a bit of convincing but now is a believer that bigger is better whenit comes to a PC monitor.

Purchased the 57” Neo for work and play, aside from the current software limitation of 120hz on my RTX4090 this has been one of the best monitors I have ever used. The colours are great, the mini led with its 2k plus dimming zones provides a fantastic near OLED experience. The size and resolution is a dream and gaming is made possible by DLSS tho the adaptive sync leaves a bit to be desired

Had this monitor for over 6 months now and I am very impressed. I use it for both gaming and WFH and it performs very well on both. The stand the comes with the monitor takes over the whole desk so I ended up getting a monitor arm. The settings menu is simple to use but very dated. I would have hoped for something more advanced that can be controlled remotely.
I recommended this product.

Great monitor. Fits heaps of windows for productivity. At high end of the technology spectrum so takes a little tweaking of windows settings to get everything right. GPUs need to catch up, needs a lot of processing power to run at its best.

Purchased the Odyssey 57" Monitor just under a month ago and have not looked back. The extra screen real estate makes for easy multi tasking and an increase in overall productivity. The screen provides a beautiful, crisp image with easy to read text. I have been able to stop wearing prescription glasses using this screen.

This monitor is a beast, it is exactly what I was looking for, the pinnacle for gaming and productivity. Although at the moment there is no graphics card that can push this to the core, once it’s out this thing will shine above all else. Great colour, beautiful screen, immersive and stunning.

the maximum resolution can be problematic, and achieving 240Hz requires a DisplayPort connection, which might not be available on all laptops. Using a converter might not guarantee full 240Hz performance. It's also not power-efficient, with a 2-star energy rating.

I purchased this gorgeous monitor to replace two 32” monitors I had for a couple of years let me say this monitor doesn’t disappoint! As someone that edits photos as a hobby, having the massive screen estate without the bezel in the middle is simply amazing!

Bought this for work and has been amazing! Fitting four full sized sheets is awesome as it minimizes the amount of time I need to switch between sheets. Only downside was the screen had a blotch but Samsung was quick to action. Highly recommended

Unbelievably large, the 57' monitor easily takes up the majority of my desk. I work from home, and this monitor has increased my productivity by enabling 3 full size windows side by side by side on its massive 7680x2160 resolution. Maximised, I have up to 7 pages of a Word document on the screen at any one time. Thankfully, the 1000R curve keeps head turning minimal and always keeps the distance you're looking at the screen the same as well. People often complain about needing to screen sharing using such large monitors, but I hadn't had an issue with this yet, as I normally share specific "windowed" apps. Gaming is just next level with games that support the 32:9 aspect ratio, but even in titles that only support 21:9, the boarders on the sides of the monitor aren't that noticeable. I can't use the 240hz refresh rate with my RTX 4090 sadly, but coming from a two 27 inch, 1440p, 144hz monitors, I don't notice the difference in refresh rate anyway. When I did start using the monitor, the curve in the picture was noticeable, as I've always used flat monitors, after a few days of use I stopped noticing this. It is without a doubt it's the best monitor I've ever owned and if you have the space and hardware to run such demanding pixels I highly recommend it The only downside was Samsung could not ship this to my location directly, and I needed to travel on a 5-hour return trip to collect it, but it was totally worth it!
