Unfortunately I cannot recommend this monitor. Beware if you want to use it for professional tasks or gaming. Sitting in front of the display, the colour only looks ok in the centre and washes out at the edges, I guess viewing angle is a bit shallow. The blacks and greys don't look as sharp compared to my older screen that was 1/3 of the price, even after adjusting OSD settings and tweaking colour profile. This is despite the rating of 400cd/m2 and 3000:1 contrast. The M80C is not a QLED panel which you might expect at this price point, and the refresh rate at only 60Hz limits gaming use almost entirely. Given that I waited 7 months for the updated 2023 release to be available for a modern primary monitor, it simply doesn't deliver. When I contacted Samsung about a return after using it for 1 day they said that Online Shop monitors are not eligible for return. So watch out for their lack of customer service dealing with Samsung directly. Otherwise, I like the design Samsung has gone for. The pedestal stand looks good and is stable, and adjusts easily. Connectivity is great with the USB C with power delivery eliminates several other cables and the included webcam is very handy. Speakers are basic to don't expect cinematic audio. In built smart software is familiar if you have a Samsung TV, but the in-built gaming hub (or an attached console) would certainly not perform very well at the max 60Hz refresh. If only it wasn't let down by the brightness and contrast of the screen.

Literally the best purchase of this year for me. I moved to Australia and wanted to build my home office set up and after looking for monitors (mind you I was transitioning from two 16" screens) I decided to go with this one because it offered me the two in one feature of monitor and smart TV. Lots of YouTube reviews are very critical of this monitor but in all honesty, if you're a person who does admin, executive, non exhaustive coding or designing or heavy editing, this could be the perfect monitor for you. Not all of us want a gaming do-it-all monitor and that is okay and this is what this monitor here brings us. At least for people like me with normal boring corporate jobs. The sound is great to watch YouTube or Netflix, the 60hz refresh rate is great for me. The 4k display is amazing. Even though mine came defective from the box, the amazing customer service team were very helpful and helped me get my unit repaired in less than 3 days.
I recommended this product.

Bought after losing "family desktop" in a recent storm. We no longer need a desktop as we each have laptops or ipads and this gave us the use of having the ability to use a larger screen. Initially had issues with connecting via USB C cable but worked out that you need to have laptop open and running before connecting to the monitor. Now connects at start up. If you leave the laptop connected it automatically connects at the next session. Great optics and good sound. We don't use it for movies etc but could easily do so.
I recommended this product.

I bought this product in Nov 2023 and in first 50 days faced an issue with dead pixels. Overall the support process needs improvement in communication and customer sentiments handling. Overall, I had been using various Samsung products for a long now but this M8 flagship product disappointed me.

I liked the monitor. It's good in every way. I am using it mostly for work and rarely for entertainment. I bought it basically for wireless connectivity but because of the lag it's unusable still the USB-C does the work.

Wow this monitor is awesome! Having a large single monitor works so much better for me than two separate smaller monitors, just a lot more flexibility in how you display content. The resolution and brightness is great for working on all day, and the fact that it becomes a smart TV with the remote adds a very valuable feature to our guest room (home office). Having it setup on a monitor arm looks awesome floating over the desk! It's beautiful to look at even with the display off.

I bought this monitor 2 weeks ago. In the past week, I have noticed multiple times (upon waking from sleep from my laptop) that the right hand side of the screen (approx 20%) is flickering quite a lot and I cannot read the screen. I have to restart the monitor each time to fix this issue. It has happened about 6 times so far, so a bit concerning for a brand new monitor. The other thing I notice is how warm it gets. The picture quality is quite good.

I'm very happy to use this in my bedroom as the do it all monitor. It's connected to my mac mini, PS5 and connects to my S23 ultra through dex when needed as well. 4k resolution so I have 2 windows open side by side for working and youtubing at the same time, good for gaming, great for all uses. Only downside is sometimes the monitor will make some noise from the joint of the stand... which gets annoying but apart from that, perfect monitor.
I recommended this product.

A few weeks ago, I purchased three units of the aforementioned product. Generally, they perform adequately. However, I have encountered a recurring issue wherein the settings consistently undergo alterations. Despite possessing a PC with 4K capabilities, both the system settings and picture configurations undergo unexplained changes. Given that I am the sole user of the PC and screens, the reason behind these adjustments eludes me.

I pre-ordered this on Black Friday and received in the first week of January 2024. The monitor is equipped with everything including all types of common connection cables and a webcam. Its build quality is excellent with lots of smart features and UI is smooth with no hiccups. I am amazed with the excellent VA panel display quality which is as good as an IPS panel in my opinion. I am very satisfied with this smart monitor overall.
I recommended this product.

Been using this monitor for over a month. It was a birthday gift to my partner and it was a massive upgrade from his last monitor and he was very happy with the graphics. We can also use it to easily watch movies in our bedroom as it is very light and easy to connect. Takes a while to get it set up and used to the programming but it’s well worth the upgrade.
I recommended this product.

I have had this for a couple of months. I bought it for the 4k display, good physical design and and great stand. I didn't think I would use all the extra video streaming features but I now find I am using them more and more. The display is very detailed, it was easy to set up and is everything I could have asked for.
I recommended this product.

Got this monitor a couple of weeks ago and so far I quite like it. It's very aesthetic and gives me motivation to work. It's easy to put everything together and it worked like a smart monitor and a tv. Most of the time I use it as a monitor with my MacBook pugged in and it works fine with no problems.
I recommended this product.

I purchased this monitor looking for a solution for a WFH setup but also and entertainment option. The monitor has increased my productivity during work hours and outside of those hours I'm able to enjoy the beautiful screen for gaming and tv.

Excellent monitor with great colour and refresh rate. Works perfectly as both a monitor and TV. Great build quality, adjustable angle and height. Quick and on time delivery. Really good sale price. Samsung TV has great channels.

I did a lot of research before buying this monitor (to pair with a new MacBook), and I do feel a bit letdown. The look and feel of the monitor is very smart, and the webcam attachment works well. I was aware of the graphic and sound capabilities, the latter not being too important to me, however I feel the performance lacks greatly compared to what I was expecting from reviews, to the point where I am questioning a month later if I got a dud. The clarity when connected to my laptop via USB-C is quite poor pixel wise. I'm really mixed right now whether to persist with it or not. I was also disappointed to set the new monitor up to find there was a sand fly/midgie embedded behind the screen which I was able to tap down to the bottom but cannot remove, there were also fingerprints all over the edges of the screen under the protective cover (ie. not mine) - so quality control seems to be amiss. Overall it's a beautiful monitor and would be great for standard/non-serious use, but I am not convinced as of yet that it's the right monitor for a work or pairing monitor set-up.

Monitor picture is good. Speakers are avaerge camera is decent quality. On the downside the built in microphone on my monitor is unusable. And I need to connect an extra mic when I need to to use a teams meeting

Bought this because I wanted something for a multifunctional room that we use for work during the day and personal computing / TV at night. Smart TV is ok, apps hang from time to time and there is no way I can find to froce them closed. No physical power button only on remote which puts the device to sleep not powers off, have to pull out the power cable to turn the thing off completely. Annoying but not our main TV so could live with it. Picture is good ethernet port would have been brilliant but WiFi works well enough. The speakers are really weak but again I could forgive that. The biggest problem I have is that we constantly change between laptops on the USB C and a desktop via the HDMI. It will not switch between the our two Dell laptops no power delivery no video signal. After plugging and unplugging many time.it might just connect. When it's connected it's great picture and resolution are spot on for our needs. But unplug and.plug in another laptop and it's another 20 minute fight to get it to connect. As asecont TV and if you only use one device with it it pretty good but just too frustrating for our use case.

After considering many different options, I chose this M80C for my new desk space. I use it to work from home half the week; my desk is also my sewing space in my free time; I occasionally want a screen larger than my phone for life admin and web browsing; and the room is also a guest bedroom. This smart monitor works seamlessly with my work laptop for working from home. I connect via USB-C and close the laptop, though I could also keep it open if I wanted the extra screen (the 32" is enough most days). The included webcam works great (I read some reviews that suggested its movement was limited, but I don't have any issues with angling it to suit and find it captures most of the room). I enjoy using the screen to show my sewing pattern instructions or have a movie playing while I'm sewing. I've used it with and without a laptop for life admin and web browsing - sometimes connecting with my phone via DeX. I know my guests will enjoy being able to stream music and video content when they visit. My challenges/cons so far are minimal compared to the pros: I wish I could connect the monitor direct to my Sonos speaker, as the sound would be more enjoyable this way. I'm also finding web browsing without a connected laptop to be a bit clunkier than I imagined - I hoped to access Google products (Drive, Docs, Calendar, Chrome) just as easy as it is to open those apps on my Samsung phone (maybe I just haven't looked in the right spot yet). I could always continue connecting my phone with DeX, but I expected the ease of using these popular productivity apps to be included in the Smart Monitor.
