How do I Customise the Side Button on my Galaxy Smartphone or Tab?

Fully customisable, the Side Button lets you power down your device, wake up Bixby, or instantly launch your favourite apps with a double-press or press-and-hold. Follow our guide below to customise your Side Button settings on your Galaxy smartphone or tablet.

Customise the Side Button on your Galaxy Smartphone

Open the Settings app > select Advanced features

Select Side Key

Select Double press

If you have enabled Double press choose a function you would like to action once you double press the side key

Head back to your Side key settings then select Long press
