Change your TV Device Name

 The name of your TV appears on mobile devices and computers connected to your network. If you find that your TV's current name is long, gets confused with your other household devices, you are able to rename it. Follow the guide below to learn how to do so.

Renaming your TV

1 Press the Home button on your remote control and then head to Settings

2 Navigate to All Settings

3 Select Connection and then Device Name. Here you can change the name of your TV

1 Press the Home button on your Samsung remote control to bring up the Smart Hub and then select Settings

3 Select Device Name
Select Change Name
4 Choose User Input
Choose User Input
5 Input your name of choice for your TV
Input your TV's new name

Prior models:
 
  • 2016 TVs: Settings > Network > Device Name
  • 2014 - 2015 TVs: Menu > Network > Device Name
