Connecting the Music Studio to a Smartphone

Connecting the Music Studio to your smartphone allows you to play audio wirelessly using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. You will be able to stream music, podcasts, and other audio directly from your smartphone to speaker. Find out how with the guide below.

1 Download and open the Samsung Sound App on your smartphone.

2 Turn on the Music Studio. The app will automatically scan for device. When the Music Studio is found, press ‘Add’.

If the automatic pop-up window does not appear, press the (+) button on the home screen to register the product.

3 Follow the on-screen instructions to register the device.

4 Once registered, you can play audio from the smartphone through the Music Studio.

1 Download and open the SmartThings app on your smartphone.

2 On the home page, tap the (+) button and select 'Add Device'.

3 Under Samsung Devices, tap 'Add'.

4 Select 'Speaker' from the device list.

5 Turn on the Music Studio. The app will automatically scan for device. When the Music Studio is found, select the device.

6 Follow the instruction for registration. Once done, you can name and add it the location and room of your choice. Tap 'Done' to confirm.

7 Once registered, you can play audio from the smartphone through the Music Studio.

1 Press the mic setting icon (Mic On/Off) button on the Music Studio for 3 seconds or longer.

2 Turn on and open 'Bluetooth' in the smartphone settings.

3 Select 'Music Studio' from the device list.

4 Once paired, you can play audio from your smartphone through the Music Studio.

Notes:

  • Locate a new device within 3.28 ft (1 m) to connect by Bluetooth communication. 
  • If asked for a PIN code when connecting a Bluetooth device, enter <0000>. 
  • The Music Studio automatically turns off after 18 minutes in the Ready state. 
  • The Music Studio may not perform Bluetooth search or connection correctly under the following circumstances: 
    •  If there is a strong electrical field around the Music Studio. 
    • If several Bluetooth devices are simultaneously paired with the Music Studio. 
    • If the Bluetooth device is turned off, not in place, or malfunctions.
