How to use the Samsung Sound App with the Music Studio

The Samsung Sound app is designed for audio control, offering a more detailed and hands-on experience for fine tuning your Music Studio’s sound performance to your preference. Once connected to your compatible smartphone, you can access features such as ambient sound mode. The app focused on personalised sound customisation, giving you greater control over how your music sounds. Follow the below guide for more information.

Prior to following the below guide ensure that you have downloaded the app.

Note: If you are looking to control your Music Studio as part of a setup without wanting to switch between multiple apps, you can use the SmartThings app, which will connect the device to a wider smart home ecosystem for easier control. You can refer to the guide here.

1 Open the Samsung Sound App on your smartphone.

2 Turn on the Music Studio. The app will automatically scan for device. When the Music Studio is found, press ‘Add’.

If the automatic pop-up window does not appear, press the (+) button on the Home screen to register the product.

3 Follow the on-screen instructions to register the device.

4 Once registered, you can play audio from the smartphone through the Music Studio.
1 On the home page, select the paired Music Studio.

2 Tap on 'Ready to connect' button.

3 Select prefer sound source by tapping on the device in the list.

2 Select the 'Instant Music Play' button

3 Select between 'Play/Pause' or 'Spotify Tap'.

  • Play/Pause: Play or pause the audio from the sound device. Press the button twice in a row to play the next track.
  • Spotify Tap: Press the button twice for Spotify Tap and instantly plays a recommendation based on your listening taste. Press twice again and Spotify will play a fresh recommendation. Press once to play/pause audio playback. To activate the feature, you first need to connect once to the speaker via the Connect menu in the Spotify app. 
4 Press the select the (Instant Music Play) button on the Music Studio to use feature.

1 Pair the Music Studios to the Samsung Sound app

2 On the home page, select the mic setting icon (Pair) button on the host Music Studio.

3 Select the additional speakers and then select either, 'Set Stereo Pair' or 'Set Stereo Group'.

  • Stereo Pair: Connect two Wi‑Fi speakers to create dedicated left and right channels, expanding your soundstage for a wider, more immersive listening experience.
  • Speaker Group: Connect multiple Wi‑Fi speakers to create a spacious, flowing soundstage that can fill your home with effortless harmony. Support up to 10 compatible speakers.
4 Play audio on the host Music Studio and sound will output from all connected systems simultaneously.

Note:  

  • To enable this, connect at least two audio devices to the same Wi- Fi network at 5 GHz. 
  • This is available on Samsung Sound devices that support Wi-Fi released year 2024 or later. 
  • This feature does not support TV sound.

2 Scroll down to 'Sound Mode' and tap on your prefer mode.

  • Music: Provides more natural and room filling sound for music content. 
  • Standard: Outputs the original sound. 
  • Adaptive Sound: Analyses the content in real time and automatically provides the optimal sound field based on the characteristics of the content. 
1 Select the prefer 'Sound Mode'.

2 Tap on the bars to adjust the bass and treble to your preference.

  • If set to Standard Mode, you can select pre-loaded settings from tapping on the top right button.

1 On the home page, select the paired Music Studio.

2 Scroll down to 'SpaceFit Sound Pro' and tap button to toggle on.

2 Scroll down to 'Active Voice Amplifier Pro' and tap button to toggle on.

2 Scroll down and tap on 'Advanced Sound Settings' button.

3 From the list, tap on the buttons to toggle on/off to your setting preference.

  • Voice enhancement: Makes it easier to hear spoken dialog in movies and TV. 
  • Bass enhancement: Strengthens bass sound. This feature is supported only on the HW LS7*H model. 
  • Night Mode: Optimised for night time with the settings adjusted to bring the volume down but keep the dialog clear. 
  • Virtual: While Adaptive Sound mode is on, it provides extended sound effects when playing Dolby/DTS content.
