Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding TV Exceptional TV. 5 out of 5 Stars. 75" .. Great if you have the space. Add the Samsung 9 Series Soundbar (I used the $500 gift card) ~ (I recommend a Pro install to get the best audio if your not tech savvy ~ required Samsung app support to configure it properly ). And Boom ... Best Home Theatre I have ever owned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality 4K TV for a designer home Having had many Samsung TVs in the past, when got a chance to try out one through the Samsung Insider program I jumped at the opportunity. We’ve had the TV for about a month now and so impressed how well it blends into our designer home. All the cabling (including power) going through the tiny cable is awesome, and removes all the ugliness that comes from all the cabling typically found at the back of the TV. Into our specific box we have: Power, 2x HDMI PC/Xbox One X, Ethernet Internet, USB for storage, and Optical for sound to our amplifier. Really looking forward to mounting it on the wall where this invisible cable should disappear into the panelling on our wall (see picture). The initial setup was so smooth, unpacking from the box and configuration was very quick and easy, barely even needing to refer to the very detailed documentation included. The configuration using the Android app was super smooth, and works out most things by itself. Comparing this screen to our 2-year-old Samsung 55” 4K Series 8 curved screen was difficult, as essentially this is just a bigger slightly updated version of the same thing, with the usual improvements, the screen quality was about the same – however the software could do with some improvements. Specifically, the “lag” in the full tv guide is still very noticeable, the Freeview app isn’t as user friendly as it was, and the switch from black to bright backgrounds is a step backwards, especially for the music only channels where instead of soothing Jazz in a dark room, it’s a blaring white box, not very romantic and doesn’t set a nice Christmas mood! (would have been better to show the ambient mode, the dark screen it used to have, or even just a black screen – see the second photo) While on the subject of the Ambient mode, this is cool and like it, but would like more customization options, but I guess that’s what Samsung’s “The Frame” TV is all about. One last thing I should add that I love is that the controller also works with the Microsoft Xbox One X and can control the home screen on it and the One Guide App (with TV adapter). It was so slick that I didn’t even realize that it was doing it till I clicked the guide button and the Xbox TV guide opened!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the TV i expected form Samsung. Don’t be fooled by this TV’s looks, Samsung actually went a bit backwards in the 2018 range to cut costs. You wont get that fancy metal finish slim remote that came with the Samsung QLED 2017 range as Samsung now includes an older Black remote which is similar to the older Soundbar's they make. So your buying a premium device with an average remote that would be found on the lower Samsung TV models. The worst thing Samsung did with their QLED 2018 Range is they have now dropped support for DTS & DivX formats playback. If you have a Hard-Drive/USB that has movies on it then think again but purchasing this TV as they will most likely NOT work! Once again the 2017 model QLED range worked like a charm but the new 2018 models don't. Another step backwards for Samsung. If your after a TV with also a good operating system then this is not the TV for you. The operating system is very slow, sluggish and very laggy, this is even right out of the box! Samsung still need to make this OS more smoother and actually get some apps on their store as there is currently nothing, it’s a ghost town. The only positive i found with this TV was the stand, last years model was not nice at all and stuck out on the TV unit as the stand/feet was on a strange angle. Though this years model is much more symmetric and just makes more sense as it is just a straight bar not bent pointing to the sides. Ok but not Good either, Unfortunately Samsung took a step back with Tech & Innovation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning TV The first thing I noticed when this TV was delivered, is that its huge. Definitely a two man lift kind of job. That being said, ten minutes later it was out of the box, stand attached (electric screw driver is a must) cable hooked up and ready to got. The single cable between the TV and One Connect unit is a brilliant idea, making set up easy enough I'm sure my grandma could work this out. Turning it on for the first time, it pretty well takes care of connecting to the WiFi and channel tuning itself. Having a Samsung phone with smart connect makes this all so much easier. Speaking of phone integration, it is a real feature for this TV. I use a S9 and the smart things app allows me to do a bunch of really cool things. I can use my phone as a remote, with a little touch pad for navigation. I can cast my phone screen to the TV or the TV to my phone or even just the audio, which makes watching TV with Bluetooth headphones a breeze. Not that the remote that comes with it is bad. They have done a great job of simplifying the bottoms and making it a nice economical shape, it even has a microphone so you can just tell it what to do. This works surprisingly well, just press the button, say "cat videos" and in a few seconds YouTube is up and cats are playing. My one gripe with the remote is the power button icon is slightly off center on the button, you can see it in the image I attached. In general I would say that software behind has been well integrated, with lots of useful features and is easy enough to use. Now to the screen, it is a beaut! I would say the colour is the stand out, incredbly vivid colours and amazing brightness. Playing 4K content really highlights just how crisp and silky smooth this screen is. It was seriously a draw dropping moment the first time I played a 4K video. I'd also like to add that I was given a small incentive for an honest review of this product, I would highly recommend this TV.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrifc picture, love this TV First things first, I was given a small incentive to review this product, this in no way affects my own personnel comments about this product. The product I am reviewing is Samsung Q7 65" QLED TV - QA75Q7FNAWXXY The delivery people arrived on time, unpacked, put together and placed the TV where I wanted it. Terrific people. This TV uses one thin cable from the TV to a box (Samsung One Connect) which is hidden out of view. All other connections, power, HDMI, USB are from the One Connect box, too easy. Set up... Well, this was very easy considering I was wary using the remote control which has very few buttons on it. The easy way to set this up is to use the Samsung SmartThings app. I already had the Samsung SmartThings App on my phone so I followed the prompts on the screen, and in a short time, the set up was completed. Before watching anything I checked all of the connections. Aerial (obviously) was plugged in, else set up would not have worked. HDMI Cable to AVR connected (ARC being used) HDMI from Android TV box connected to AVR, output from this box is set to 4K/60Hz so if it not native 4K it will be upscaled to 4K. Optical Cable from TV to AVR connected so sound from TV gets played through the AVR (7.1 speaker setup). Everything all set so now it is time to watch a movie or two to see how it all looks. Note: I did not change any picture settings on the TV before using it. First thing I noticed (and expected) was the BIG difference in the colour and colour brightness compared to the projector, this makes up for the smaller screen. The wifes first comment was "it is small", she is used to the projector. After awhile she commented that the picture quality is much better. So far, watching some 4k movies, HD shows and TV, everything is really good, really happy with it. I tried the SmartThings app on my phone to watch the TV on my phone. Very easy to do. Just chose the 'View TV on phone' option and selected the channel, too easy. The best part is that whilst you are watching the TV on your phone, the screen on the TV itself is OFF. Have had this TV for awhile now, still really happy with the picture quality. Have watched some catch up TV (iView), streamed movies and even regular TV. This TV leaves our Samsung Plasma 50" TV for dead. Picture is sooo much better. I was watching the Channel 9 news the other night, the presenter was wearing a white jacket, I watched it on the plasma TV for awhile and then on the QLED TV. The difference was amazing, all of a sudden, the white jacket looked so much different, you could see the black stiching and much more detail in the jacket on the QLED compared to the plasma TV. Being a 4K TV, all Free to Air channels are upscaled to 4K, the picture quality that this TV makes is terrific. I cannot comment on the TV sound as all sound goes through the AVR and 7.2 speaker setup. I strongly advise that you at least a purchase a GOOD quality soundbar (not a cheap one) with at least 5.1 sound. Make sure you get a decent sub-woofer!!! No matter how good the picture quality is, without good sound, your Movie/TV shows viewing will NOT be very enjoyable. I decided to change the sound output from the TV (Optical) to the AVR by getting rid of the Optical cable and using the HDMI Arc input/output. One less cable to worry about. So now, the TV is connected to the AVR using the HDMI port with Arc turned on. The AVR has Arc turned on. What this allows is to control the whole setup (TV, AVR, Android TV box) with just the one Samsung TV remote. When I press the power button on the TV remote, the TV turns on, the AVR turns on and switches to the correct input (TV or Media), one less thing to worry about. When you select the 'TV source' (Free to air) on the TV, the AVR switches to the TV input and the TV sound is going through the HDMI cable and output via the AVR. The only thing is that (I believe all other TVs do this) it only allows up to 5.1 sound. If I then switch the TV source to HDMI, the AVR will then switch to the Media input (you just have to set up which HDMI ports you use on your AVR initially) and then the sound and picture from the Android TV (or whatever you are using, Blu-ray box etc) now are handled by the AVR. Your sound goes to your speaket setup and your picture to the TV. The TV remote now controls the Android TV box. When you turn off the TV, it will also shut down the AVR. All of this is brought to you by HDMI ARC. If you are using an older AVR and are sick of using multiple remotes, then it may be a good idea to upgrade your AVR to one that does HDMI 2.0 and has ARC. Time to look at some features. PVR use This TV also comes with a PVR feature, to use it you need to attach a Hard Disk (not a USB Flash drive) to the connect one. I connected a 256GB USB SSD drive to the One COnnect box, in my case, the TV formated to SSD drive. With this connected I can now use timeshift on the TV Free to Air channels, pause TV, record TV etc. Works like a charm. UHD HRD10 (Ultra High Def 4K), High Dynamic Range HRD10 is a new method to enhance the picture - for more info on it, do a Google search. This TV has the ability to try and simulate a UHD HRD10 picture from a NON UHD HRD10 picture. In my opinion, I would not use it, it is a hit and miss thing. TV Guide When using the TV guide, picture and sound is initally lost whilst it is set up. The picture of the current TV channel is in a box on the top left of the screen. As you scroll through the channels, picture/sound is momentary lost if that part of the guide is not in the buffer. @samsungau #seenothingelse #ad #sponsoredpost #qled #qledtv #samsungqled #samsungqledtv

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not impressed! I have had this TV for 6 months, replacing a Samsung 60" HD LED 100Hz TV. Older model produced better pictures. Not good for watching ball sports like football or cricket. Watching AFL the football is a juddering blur when arcing through the air. Signal is from satellite dish and when in 4K, not much better. Outlines of cartoon characters seem to distort or pixellate. Some areas of screen these problems more apparent. Older TV did not have these problems on same signal. Customer Service was very good at blaming something other than their product, hard to contact and no help at all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great picture ... But issues remain Bought between this 2 weeks ago, and after spending a week setting up, still can't get it to work the way I want it to work. Samsung support say to plug all devices into the OneConnect box (having 4 devices, can only use 3 of 4 HDMI ports); and have the receiver passing audio over ARC does not work for anything above Dolby Digital. So have everything plugged into receiver (which does UHD and HDR content, DTS X and Atmos). Have the TV set to one HDMI going back to the receiver, which works. But don't get the pretty icons when plugged in this way. I had all the input sources set up one way and after turning the tv off and then on a few hours later, had deleted all these settings. Or after renaming them and changing icons, they would reset. The remote is clunky, previously had a Harmony Remote which turned everything on as needed, but when I want to use game mode for the Xbox, I have to navigate through about 10 button presses to manually turn it on via the on-screen menu. It says you can do via voice on the remote, you can't. Looking at the remote codes, there are numerous buttons but NONE for getting mode, one for the E-manual which is stupid! So, it's not "One Remote" as they market it, I have now had to go back to 4 remotes, when previously I could use the Harmony for all my devices. I'm still waiting for their level 2 technical support to call me back, but thought the 1st level support would have known the higher audio formats are not available over ARC and to stop telling me to plug everything via their OneConnect box, or to tell me that I need HDMI 1.4 and above (using 2.0b spec) On the positive, the picture quality is good, but the user experience is certainly not great! If Samsung can put in a remote code to enable game mode via a button press, that would save a LOT of issues.
