I will preface with the fact that I have been a purchaser of Samsung products. But I am also a gamer and buy monitors specifically for gaming. never in 25+ years have I had a monitor have dead pixels. Be it $200 screen or $500, they've all lasted many years with no issue. It is also the first time I spend so much money on a screen, and the first time I have such a terrible pixel issue. Big bright pink spot + a big line across the screen makes it impossible to use. Despite the price, Samsung won't take the screen under warranty. Sure, the warranty has expired, but a 1y warranty on a $1,500 item that has a never-seen before issue after 24 months of usage is, in my opinion, ridiculous. This is obviously a conception issue. It is hard to see on the picture due to extreme lighting.

i got the device recently everything was working until i turned on the most important feature that is advertised 240hz!!!!! the device would not output anything after enableing 240 hz!!!! how could the most advertised feature not be tested on brand new product. the viewing angles are great with the curve. the response really shows in games and now the desktop. the va colors dont appears as good as ips in my eyese but a a faster larger display is waaaay better for more immersive gamming . wait on buying this till samsung as more quality testing that features advertised on the box work as they should. the value to specs is good only if they work.

beware of the risk of getting your display with a cracked screen on arrival, very hard to know where/how this happened, box seems fine, although, i wonder why they shipped in the product box with no additional protection whatsoever..., display's frame seems undamaged too, was the box dropped on its side while in transit? was this display broken before leaving the factory? one thing is for sure: after waiting for this product for -literal- years, it's broken on arrival, it was really disappointing. the ratings i'm placing are after the fact i didn't even power-up the display, i'd update this review when/if i decide to get a replacement that works.

I upgraded my 2016 BENQ 28" 1ms flat panel monitor to this 32" Odyssey Neo G8 4K UHD 240Hz 1ms screen for PS5 CoD FPS play. I love it! This is a beautiful monitor. The curved screen immediately gave a more immersive view & feel to the game and I was able to play with visual settings to get color & graphics exactly where I wanted it for my dimly lit game-room environment. Color and visuals really 'pop' on this monitor, and input lag is non-existent. I'd say my only complaint (minor) is the power and menu button access is directly under the center-bottom of the monitor. I would rather see this on the side of the monitor or by remote, and a single-press power button. Otherwise, no complaints!

I was excited to get this monitor. I have heard how great back light dimming was and the refresh rate. The monitor itself looks beautiful except for the stand. The OSD is pretty easy to navigate. Gaming was good not great. I did see a few lines when I was playing certain games it would happen in cinematic scenes. The reason I am sending this back is the color schemes that are available on the OS are not great. The SRGB mode seems so washed out. I kept looking online for other individuals that have this monitor to see what settings they had. I got it to a point where it was ok. But that is the thing for a monitor that is "Premium" it should not just be ok. It should blow other monitors out of the park.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this display for gaming primarily. The mini LED has keeps the horror games dark and the HDR games bright in a way I have never experienced. The 240hz ensures an excellent smoothness to the motion keeping you competitive when you need it and the freesync keeping it smooth when you need it. This VA panel has IPS levels of clarity in motion with the contrast ratio of VA resulting in an excellent viewing experience. One of the features that I love the most is the dedicated ultrawide mode in the settings. It provides a 3840x1600 resolution and with the mini LED technology it keeps the black bars black. The stand is passable, not great. It has tilt, height adjustment and swivel. I'd recommend a monitor arm for this one.

This monitor is truly beautiful and unique with the specs offered in a curved 32" 4k display. I upgraded from a 27" Alienware IPS display and I know that OLED displays are still not perfected so I decided to buy this one and the comparison is night and day! After some tweaking with the settings, I finally got the perfect output using a 4080 card with HDR off in windows, custom scaling @ 160% , 14 black equalizer, 120hz refresh rate, adaptive sync on, 80 brightness/contrast/sharpness, and contrast enhancer on. (NVIDIA brightness/contrast/digital vibrance @ 50%)

6 months of ownership with Odyssey Neo G8, and it has been stellar. This monitor is nearly perfect, has incredible color and brightness - so much available brightness, you very likely have to turn it down to prevent eye damage, lol. I am a frequent gamer with over 1000 games on Steam, and paired with an RTX 4090, the Neo G8 brings my games to life in 4k. I have experienced a flickering on certain settings, but with being able to adjust various settings in the panel's onscreen menu, I have been able to resolve those without issue. Overall, its a an incredible feat of technology to display 4k at 240hz, and can be picked up at a great price. Your results may vary, my experience has lead me to recommend this to friends easily.

I had to give it a try. It's not for me. I could have returned it back. Reason, I didn't because I have a gpu 4090 and perfect for 4k and 240hz. I love about this is mini led (no burn in risk). Color - Black level is pretty good! I have LG C2 and it's best black level but a little dark... So, neo 8 is the close enough! I decided to keep it. I love it so far. I have it for a year. just got this, read all the reviews. was a bit nervous to purchase. right to be so, monitor came in dead pixel. samsung has a very poor return process. (send monitor back wait until the return is received and start the whole order again). no way am i going to deal with that all over again and risk getting another bad monitor with all that downtime in between. make sure you turn hdr on and white screen every pixel as soon as you get this thing. hopefully other have a better experience. i'll wait for others to get into the 4k 240hz realm.

However, it certainly comes down to what you value in a Monitor. If you want something that checks every box but is possibly more reliable than an OLED gaming monitor, this certainly isn't a bad choice by any means. Its HDR compatibility leaves a lot to be desired on that front, but you can certainly tinker around with it to get some interesting results. I personally use RTX HDR and or Special K to get the most from it with a custom HDR color profile.

The 244hz refresh rate is a game changer. Especially if you're moving up from 60hz/120hz. It displays beautifully in 1440p, giving me a strong mix of performance AND quality in-game. The onboard USB hub is also an excellent addition. I also loved the cable management option built into the stand. All in all, this was a great purchase, and I've recommended it to all my gaming buddies. I'd purchase this again in a heartbeat.

I bought this a week ago and the picture quality and monitor is great. But I have one big complaint and that is the OSD pad at the "very" bottom below the screen. I defy anyone to be able to navigate the button pad unless you have the hands of a 5-year-old. The person who designed this OSD pad should be working at McDonalds! The monitor settings should be accessible with a remote or have on-screen software or at the very least have a bigger button pad. It really spoils the experience. I ended up taking pictures of the buttons with my cell phone to help me navigate the menu buttons. I was so frustrated with these buttons I even laid the monitor on its back. It was truly a very frustrating experience that shouldn't happen with a monitor of this caliber.

I’ve had this monitor for a few months now since I acquired a beast of a PC. I have had 0 issues with it, the graphics are incredibly high quality and immersive. I’ve been playing the Horizon games and the new one looks so incredible I was genuinely blown away. The HDR can be an issue sometimes if you’re streaming but even if you turn it off it still looks gorgeous. Top tier cinematography with 4k and HDR, the colors look amazing, the high refresh rate is awesome for running smoothly on competitive games. Couldn’t ask for better.

got this monitor and it's beautiful. amazing colors and contrast but.... after having it for a few weeks i noticed a blemish on the ar coating that looked like a speck of dust stuck under the screen. secondly, i also noticed 2 dead pixels on the bottom right corner of the screen. this is very disappointing for a monitor of this price point. you would think samsung, being the leader in displays, would not let these kinds of things slip through their qa process. other than those issues, the monitor is great in every other aspect.

It is a relative joy to multitask with several open windows on this beast. Why only a relative joy? C'mon, who actually LIKES having to do several things at once. This monitor performs excellently for all of those apps. I also use it for Xbox gaming and OMG this is tremendous. I use the HDMI 2.1 port with the Xbox and it looks fantastic. At some point, I will have to invest in a gaming PC to take advantage of the 240 refresh rate to take full advantage. I have another 32" flat monitor and I just might have to replace it with another NEO 32" G8...I love this thing.

I bought this for my husband. By day he's a law enforcement officer and by night he's an animator/comic book artist. While his previous 27-inch 4k monitor from another brand was acceptable, he needed an upgrade to complement his 4090. When we hooked up this monitor, the choirs of angels sang. Visually, it's beautiful. The design is eye-catching. The screen with its brightness and effortless curve does indeed make it an immersive experience, even outside of gameplay. The texture of his characters on Blender, Clip Studio, and whatever that 3rd one he uses, are beautiful. They look very lifelike. He stated he could better see flaws he now knows he has to touch up. He didn't leave the house all weekend; he was so happy. Wifey did good. But I always do. That's why I'm wifey. 😊

Doesn't work 120hz without adaptive sync. Doesn't support 240hz at all, 4 cables that are 4k240hz rated and not even the 4k120hz included cable works without adaptive sync, monitor wont detect or post even at 240hz. LG monitor with 4k 240hz works in same gpu slot, same settings. Literally cant try more cables because cables will arrive after return window. Firmware update did absolutely nothing to help issue. Very sad it didn't work even when picked up to ensure delivery didn't mess up monitor.

I haven't had a ton of high quality monitors or tvs in my time so I'm comparing this to mostly just 1080p, but the colors look fantastic and I quite like the curved screen. While it looks fantastic and it feels solid enough, I've had some small issues with fairly casual usage. Occasionally the screen will turn off for a couple of seconds, almost as though it's about to switch ports or something. I've seen some folks run into this and so far a lot of the suggestions to fix it don't seem to work for me. Fortunately, it's not happening a lot so I'm not terribly worried about it. To be honest, I've yet to try much gaming with it but hoping to soon. Perhaps with gaming the random black screen won't happen.

This monitor doesn't actually support a 240Hz refresh rate in practice - I have a 4090. There are multiple issues with it and this monitor, from flickering to problems with the connection ports themselves to the point where it's too much of a nuisance to use, if not completely unusable. Feel free to look them up - on reddit and other places, which is something I should have done. Around 2 months in there are already a few dead pixels. The OSD UI is ugly and awful, the buttons to control it awkwardly placed and spread out. Often fails to wake up from sleep state/screensaver. By far the worst monitor I have ever owned, I'd sell this for a dollar to get back the old ultrawide I had, extensive burn-in and all. If it can be helped, I won't buy anything Samsung or even Samsung adjacent, ever again.

I run triple A titles on ultra settings with a 4090 Nvidia GPU and this monitor is perfect for it. The curve is another great feature of the neoG8. It looks great and has completely alleviated the eye strain I was getting playing on my television. Honestly I can’t say enough good things about it. I’m glad I got it and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for high fps and a great picture.

I purchased this display a year ago and I am really enjoying the 4k resolution, HDR, colors, high refresh rate and curvature. There is a slight issue with scanlines at higher refresh rates (at 240Hz mostly on static elements on the display like desktop background or icons, at 120Hz it is barely noticeable). From what I have read it seems to be a common issue with this model. For me it is not a deal breaker because my graphics card won't drive games much higher than 80-100fps @ 4K anyway
I recommended this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am heavy into PC gaming and streaming 4k. This monitor fits my needs. I run a rtx 4070 super GPU and even at 120 hz the picture quality is great performance. In 4k I get around 60fps and the picture quality and game play is still smooth. This monitor is also good with Xbox series x and PS5 console Their 120hz makes it enjoyable to play on. I love the RGB circle light in the back of the monitor and you can change the colors in the front and the back RGB lighting that is. Screaming prime movies in 4k rocks!! For a monitor it does well. The curve of the monitor makes it enjoyable you barely know it's curved. I don't think this monitor should get as many bad reviews as it does it is a great monitor in my opinion. I recommend only if you have the patience to go your settings and hardware configured properly.

Stopped working after less than a year, I tried to request a repair but it's not available for this product for god knows why even though I purchased an extended warranty and it hasn't even been a year yet. Every now and then the screen acts up and glitches out, but even worse in the past couple months every single time I try to play a game or even just use my computer normally the monitor shuts off on it's own (display is set to never shut off) and will not reboot without restarting my pc. Sometimes it does this once a session, sometimes it does this five times over the course of a couple hours and makes online gaming impossible. I'm tech savvy and have tried every fix possible. This monitor is just crap and samsung has done nothing to fix my problem besides telling me to do stuff I've already tried, DO NOT BUY!!!

The are some horizontal lines visible on bright orange images, but I got used to them. I returned one of these monitors because the horizontal or scan lines were too noticeable on that other monitor. Other issue is flickering on very specific gaming scenes. Happens on dark scenes with bright lights, like in cyberpunk 2077. These issues have prevented me from enjoying this monitor though.

The best monitor on the market. Near OLED levels of color and blacks but without risk of burn in. Response times on par with competitive gaming monitors and with 4k 240hz support. Menu is easy to use to make adjustments. Is on the hefty side so for VESA mounts be sure to plan accordingly. If I have to put a con I would say the ambient lighting feels like an afterthought but really grasping at that point. Would recommend to anyone with the budget for it

This monitor is absolutely insane! My personal use is purely for PC Gaming and consuming media content every now and again, it's also in use with a secondary 2k 144hz LG Monitor in portrait mode (dual setup). The colors pop like crazy, the 120hz/240hz modes work like a charm when consuming specific content. But my main drawback is the g-sync compatibility. I use a 4080 GPU set up, and since they don't use a specific g-sync compatible chip I'm constantly troubleshooting between games trying to fix screen flicker. (On Diablo 4 it's especially aggressive) I noticed for my station it has a lot of issues in when in use with my dual monitor setup (setting the 2k monitor to 60hz or 120hz while the G8 is in 120hz and 240hz respectively, usually fixes flicker in some games) Overall very happy with the product, loses points due to troubleshooting.

With the PS5 I just plug and play, with the Xbox I had to change some settings. Both look Great. The vivid colors are amazing compared to my LG 27UK650-W and much fast screen. A huge upgrade in my opinion. The price of the G8 not so great but if you can get it when they're on a discount grab it, you won't be disappointed. Happy gaming people.

The local dimming in combination with HDR10 gives me almost oled levels of contrast but I don't have to worry about the burn so I know I'm set for the long haul with this one. In combination of good deals they have regularly, it's really could be your end all be all monitor for gaming. 100% recommend this.

You will need a very expensive machine to get the most from it. The HDR is terrific and only surpassed by true OLED. The blacks are so deep and the monitor can get very very bright. You unless playing older titles or on lower settings will not hit the 244hz for most content. However, the g sync is great and works like a charm.

The picture is crystal clear and adapts to any game type you play (first person shooters, sports, role playing, strategy, simulation, and adventure games). Only downside is that it has no speakers so you will need external speakers if you wish to not use a headset. The quality is so good, I just ordered the Samsung Neo QLED 8k for all my streaming purposes.

I have not had any issues or faults with it and I've had it for almost more then a year. The quality is amazing 4k 240hz is unheard of and is over kill for most graphics cards as most can't even make it to 240 frames in most AAA title games. (I use a 3080 ti fe) avg 240 to 160 in most games. Which is more then enough and future proof that what this monitor really sells me on. It having the curve I thought watching movies or any media on it would be annoying but I was wrong while sitting to the side you will lose the local dimming effect that makes the HDR on this monitor so dang good when in the center it looks fantastic and I don't have a reason to not sit at least near center anyway. It's been worth it 110% but it is pricey is the only con Id say for me. Other then that love this monitor.

After finally getting one, after years of wanting it, it really is that good! Just amazing performance in every single way. I have a 55" curved Samsung in my living room and the neo G8 just blows it away in every single way.The neo G8 is the best monitor I've ever seen, and I am an I.S.F certified technician! Just get one and be prepared to be amazed as soon as you turn it on! This is Samsung and mini led at its finest!

so for starters, i was not the biggest fan of samsung. always had lg for tv's and other brands for gaming monitors but this monitor was intriguing as it was 4k and 240hz and the perfect size for my needs. pros: - color - ease of navigation with menu - set up is quick cons: - wish it had a remote to change settings but that is because i'm lazy. this was worth the price and i don't regret jumping in and getting it!

Have to use dp for 4k 240hz. Csgo looks crisp and fluid in 240 hz. Bow to cons. I have noticed that there is some flickering in 240 hz mode. I cant see scan lines but it is a known issue too. Hdr performance is OK. No type c port and speakers for such an expensive monitor.

After unboxing the product on OCT 10th, I started using this monitor for my work and connected it to my laptop. After 3 hours of usage, the monitor screen went black and none of the menu buttons worked. I re-plugged the monitor in and it did not resolve the issue. I sold my old monitor so I could pay for this expensive monitor and this is what I encountered after buying this product from Samsung. I used online support and they created a ticket for me to send a technician to check the monitor for me. They told me it would take up to 3 business days for Samsung to assign me a technician and this is unacceptable while I wanted to use this monitor for working and now I have no monitor to work with. I am deeply disappointed with the product and Samsung brand. I am paying 1000$ (on promotion) for a monitor and this is the service I get? This is an unacceptable customer service.

Although this monitor is great image wise, there is one major issue with this monitor. At the advertised 240hz refresh rate this monitor has severe scanlines on the display so beware. This monitor would easily be 5 stars with contrast almost equivalent to OLED with its mini led technology. Unfortunately, I have to use this monitor at 120hz to avoid these scanlines. I really wish there was a fix to this problem.

the worst monitor I've ever owned. Such that I would never buy another Samsung. It's been impossible to get the colors right. In gaming the blacks are too dark and bumping up any brightness or chaning black equalizer doesn't help. Having VRR on while working causes scanlines, unless you are in 120hz mode. I've never been more frustrated with a monitor. My 2019 Dell 32" VA displays games so much better. Sad.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly wasn’t a huge fan of the monitor after that first 2 week period of hype wore off. But now? Well now I’ve learned just how awesome it is! I’ve had the monitor for over a year, ended up buying one for my wife as well. It’s got it all (minus speakers - but oh well)! It’s got the anti glare, the brightness, the perfect curvature, and the epic response and refresh rates. All while still being able to have amazing HDR viewing. Honestly the mini LED display is perfect, not perfect perfect, but perfect in the sense that it does what it needs to where it lies between lcd/led and OLED and I cannot complain about that at all. Samsung could technically do better on the build quality and allow maybe some wiggle room (no pun intended) for easier access to software upgrades, but hey, I’m a gamer. If it works and I can play without problems, I’m happy. Definitely recommend this beast!

This monitor looks awesome. It gets super bright while still having very deep blacks. 240hz looks very smooth and I have not seen any of the banding issues reviewers complain about. I have an LG CX 48 on my gaming pc and this looks just as good if not better. I highly recommend it.

this monitor had everything going for it. but it was too ambitious. it suffers from the same issues as the g9 odyssey. it has scanlines, a horrible anti glare coating, hdmi 2.1 doesn't work correctly, and it has a really annoying issue where the color settings wont stay. i purchased the g7 neo which overall seems to be a better monitor, but it also has the exact same issue with custom color settings.

i just got the monitor 2 hours ago and have already printed my return slip. monitor looks amazing but i just don't get how these monitors can be such poor quality. i have the odyssey g7 as well. it also has scan lines but they are only noticeable when not gaming. i have about a month left on the warranty but i might just use the warranty for that one after seeing issues with both monitors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ever since I put together my gaming PC with state of the art graphic card and processor (a couple of years ago), I’ve been on the search of a worthy monitor, having tried a couple of high end, gaming specs monitors, I didn’t feel i was unleashing the full potential of my setup, but finally, the wait is over and I can now game a fine selection of competitive, highly optimized games at 4k and 240hz, with a very decent, almost non-existent input lag, yes, I finally feel I’m not wasting all that technology and all that time I spent getting the components at MSRP… sure, is not perfect, but if I learned to live with scanlines in most combinations of refresh-rate / resolution / VRR, so can you, and who knows, maybe someday we’ll get at SW update that will miraculously fix it for good, without even breaking anything else. I bought a G8 about four months ago, the screen brightness started to decrease, and this screen has a dead pixel. At the same time, you cannot turn on 240hz, which will cause serious scan lines on this monitor, and it is impossible to fix. It is also impossible to turn on HDR mode, which makes the display effect a disaster. All in all, if you buy it, you will get a terrible experience

Playing games at 240Hz on a 4K is not really a viable option for most. But this monitor will let you if you computer support it. Only complaint is that when hooking it up to my Xbox, it seems to have some issue. Regardless of what HDMI cable I used, it would always go to a black screen when playing certain games. Most times it would come back after fully loading, but some games I simply couldn't play.

I can't update my graphics card while the monitor is connected because it will go black and i have to restart the pc. The curve with the 4k resolution makes it all the better and almost par with an OLED monitor because of the local dimming zones. This monitor is the one and all, unless you really need the 49 inch one.

The monitor is great but I have blue lines in my blues and my gripe about it is the auto turn off function is a short timer of 5 seconds and it doesn't have an auto switch function for new inputs that are already active. Bought this monitor 2 weeks ago and is working and looking great. Glad to be able to purchase at almost half the cost when released. No issues that have been reported about scanlines. Came with version 10 firmware if that makes a difference. G-Sync does work without issues even though no longer listed as compatible with my Nvidia 4700 super.

The controls take a little time to get used to, but work fairly intuitively. I wish it was black instead of white, but that's just a minor thing. It would be nice if it used displayport 2.0 instead of 1.4a.

you will need to adjust the settings to your liking but once you do there is no turning back. this thing is amazing and the 4k resolution becomes eye opening. i was worried because there were alot of qc reviews but luckily i got a perfect unit with no defects. buy it you won't regret your decision.

I would have gone OLED had they been available but through my extensive research, this was the best monitor available for my needs. There are no speakers but I use headphones anyways. It is my first curved screen and I really like it. Get the feeling that it's more emersive and less eye strain. The accent lighting is neat but I don't use it. Negatives, I don't like the stand. I wish it had more rotation closer to 90°. The back panel that covers the connections is either too difficult or too easy to take off. It's weird. I have 2 major issues with it. One, the screen unexpectedly goes blank from time to time. Struggles with hrz changing?? It will always do it before a crucible match in Destiny 2 but then sometimes do it right in the middle of play. My other issue is the monitor will flicker on and off if my PlayStation, in sleep mode, is performing a background update or playing remotely.
