Galaxy Note10 - LED notifications (SM-N970W, SM-N975W & SM-N976W)
With its discreet, tiny front camera and nearly bezel-less design, the new Galaxy phone takes full advantage of its infinity display. However, to make room for the new AMOLED screen, the LED light from the previous Galaxy phones has been replaced by a new LED lighting system. By using the EdgeLighting + app, you can even enjoy a customized lighting experience.
Information provided applies to devices sold in Canada. Available screens and settings may vary for smartphones sold in other countries.
The Note10 series have their LED lighting system located around the front camera’s cutout. Whenever you receive a notification, use face recognition, or switch to the selfie camera, an illuminated design will circle around the front camera’s hole.
Personal notification settings will affect LED notification.
You can customize the color and duration of the LED notification through Samsung’s EdgeLighting + app. This app installs additional effects to the existing style options in Edge lighting. From Settings, search for and select Edge lighting, and then tap Edge lighting style. Or, you can tap EdgeLighting + directly from your Apps screen.
Tap Effect (in the bottom right corner), scroll all the way to left, and select Black hole. Once selected, tap Colour and select the desired colour; you can choose between a preset or custom colour. Then, tap Duration, and then select one of the three settings available. Finally, tap Done when finished.
Edge lighting needs to be activated to use personal LED notifications.
