Absolutely gutted with the purchase. After a couple of weeks, condensation started to form on all the surfaces of the fridge including all the 4 front doors and the 2 side panels. Samsung blamed the condensation on the ambient humidity in my house but was not prepared to carry out further tests to measure the actual humidity to prove that this was indeed the cause. I previously had another fridge of a different brand for 5 years and there was no condensation whatsoever. It is clear to me that the thermal insulation of the fridge has been compromised. I do not recommend this fridge to anyone.

I have only owned this for 4 years and its already crapping itself. The fridge is over freezing and all samsung can say is oh well its out of warranty and it's a $200 call out fee then the parts on top of that. I have a 15 year old Westinghouse fridge that's still going strong no issues. Samsung need to stick to phones.

I bought this fridge three months ago. It makes terrible noisy. So I contact to Samsung service. Then the man(they called technicion, how?) came my home and checked 1 minutes. He said it is nomal. Now still it makes big noisy more than half of the day. They said he said it was normal, so they couldn't do anything. I want to use my fridge that I used for 10 years. This one is trash. And Samsung service is worst. Don't remove mu review. I am written again.

I bought this fridge only two month ago, and it doesn't work now! suddenly, it stops cooling both fridge and freezer. The surprising part is that after more than 10 days of informing Samsung, they have not solved the problem. Firstly, they told me that they ordered required parts to fix it. I had to wait for 3-5 business days to receive the parts!!!! Then, I had to wait for another 3 days to send a technician. He came and realized that the problem is not related to the ordered part!!!!!!!!!!!! awful for the Samsung. And, now I am still waiting for them to do something. I told them again and again that we have to keep some special medicine inside the fridge, but Samsung doesn't care about its customer s at all. No one give me a clear answer about the problem and what they want to do. This is definitely the last time I purchased something from Samsung, as they don't care about the products they provide and supporting the customers.

After spending hours on the phone across 35 days and a dozen individual calls I have been told that I will have to go another month without a fridge because of a Samsung fault. The fridge has been leaking gas into my house for weeks and I have had 2 repairmen come and tell me that it can't be fixed, both sent by Samsung. One even said that they would offer a replacement which they are now refusing to do because they 'don't have the stock' and yet they are willing to offer a refund for store credit which I could use to purchase the very in stock and very available 488L french door that I want replaced. Not only have the customer service representatives lied (intentionally or otherwise) to me multiple times regarding certain aspects of the case, but they have consistently said that they would 'call back within 24 hours' only for me to call them 2-3 days later because they can't ever follow through on this simple promise. The multi-billion dollar company can't even offer me adequate compensation for the extra cost living that they are making me endure being forced to only buy/cook single serve meals and refuse to even acknowledge the time that I have to waste dealing with their terrible service, trawling through receipts to receive compensation for my spoiled food, and the time lost on all the cooked food that I had stored in the freezer/fridge. Even putting aside the dozen jars of homemade jams and preserves which are literally not replaceable, I (a chef by trade) have spent dozens of hours preparing stocks, soups, stews, lasagna, curries, etc. all of which I stored in my freezer which then proceeded to die as it leaked gas into my home. A quick google search tells me that the gas isn't particularly harmful unless you happen to be asthmatic which I am. I haven't suffered any adverse effects that I am aware of but I still don't feel particularly comfortable having the unit sit around in my house for another month while I wait for Samsung to finally decide that they will accept blame and oh so kindly offer me a refund for their mistake. Not. Good. Enough

Great price and excellent service from Appliances Online, fridge was delivered the next day, unpacked with empty box taken away. If anything, probably just the way French door fridges are designed, there are limited spaces for taller bottles. Our traditional top mount fridge has 2 full rows on the door for tall bottles, but this fridge only has the equivalent of 1 row that can accommodate tall bottles (half row on each door). Some thing to consider if you are looking for a French door fridge.

Bought this as replacement for a two door upright freezer due to size restriction. The black is a very attractive looking unit and doesn’t show finger marks and very easy to clean. The fridge part is excellent but that’s where the love affair finishes. Hate the freezer section. No racks on the inside of the door for small items, no light and four trays with no fronts making it hard to stop things falling out. Also the most used meat trays are right at the bottom.

I was made to buy this fridge by a pushy goodguys worker. Its just a fridge....no bells or whistles..literally. Our last fridge broke during a power outage, I can't tell if this fridge is on or off without pressing a button or opening the door. There is also no alarm on the door and you have to physically close the door or it will just swing open. Its badly designed. I don't like this fridge at all. Plenty cheaper just all were too big.

Love the exterior appearance, silver colour is not too shiny. Quiet, great interior shelf space, but limited door shelf space for drink bottles compared to LG. Ice tray takes up too much space in freezer shelf, and doesn’t work well. Would have liked suspended bottle rack under a shelf. 6 egg container on door shelf not adequate, as always buy 1 dozen eggs. Cooling/freezing good.

Fabulous fridge. Love the design and ease of use. Didn't think I could get a French door for a small space, so really pleased with this option. Space in both the fridge and freezer is well designed. Fridge shelves, drawers and door storage makes best use of the space. Pull out drawers in the freezer create separate storage areas and easy access. No annoying motor noise. Fabulous!

Been using this French Door Refrigerator for two weeks. We're still getting used to the product and its features, but overall we're very happy with our new friend. Very quiet operation. The one suggestion we would like to make is the number of racks available for adjusting the fridge shelves. This would help to accommodate the number of high items we usually store in the fridge.

we needed to replace our old fridge after 25 years. We reviewed several on line, to see what would fit in our allocated space, then visited stores to inspect t them. Appliances on line provided the best price, quick delivery and the ordering process was easy. We have been very happy with the fridge, despite being very a different configuration to our old one.

Beatiful fridge,in terms of design and features. Powerfull cooling system, ideal size for a small family (4 people). Fridge was delivered for free and well protected, anyway we found a noticeable dent when removing the protective packaging probably done when in storage or in transit. I've reported this to Samsung and they told me that they will in touch.

This is my second Samsung and I wish the ice tray from my first fit. This one you have to take the whole tray out and lift the ice maker part off to access the ice underneath… the good old draw underneath in the old designs was much better. Something to note, this fridge has very little room for error when you are going through a doorway; so if you have a few I’d recommend something that isn’t as deep. Other than that my last Samsung lasted years and I’m hoping this one will be the same, it sings every time you open it, like it’s happy you’re snacking too. The option to easily drop the temperature of the fridge or freezer comes in handy if you are putting anything not cold in bulk in & the fact that the freezer compartments are all draws (even the ones open at the front) makes accessing the frozen goods nice and easy. Great fridge overall but I will be looking for an alternative ice maker and I am not looking forward to moving.

I bought this fridge 2 months ago and have been happy with it. It has beautiful design and big space inside. The freezer has 2 different door which make me easier to divide kids space and adults space. Everyone can keep their favourite meal inside the fridge / freezer and make the kids can find their things easier (without having to mess up my things).

Fridge looks fancy and nice, works good too but I would not buy this fridge again, a few things I am not very impressed with: Handle would be better having on sides not bottom of doors.(pretty low for me) Doors are pretty narrow so its better to open both doors. Did not realize about the middle sealing piece on one of the doors that is a bit annoying and actually you are not able to open 1 vego slide box if you leave this door closed. No light in the freezer but does not really bother me. Annoying sound when you open doors that cannot be turned off. Compare to my old fridge that was 570L, this fridge is only 488L but more bulkier wider and deeper. Was expecting to be a bit quieter. Doors won't close fully if you just let the door go and walk away. There is a mechanism that stops the door from closing it. You need to give it a bit of push. Otherwise good. Would not pay full price for this fridge though. Lucky I bought in on special.

Love the fridge, huge adjustable shelves, good Door space, cute reminder if you leave it open. Good 4 drawer freezers but the most useless and space-taking ice block maker. You can't take the lid off, blocks are tiny, yet it and the associated bucket basically fill one of the freezer compartments. Needs a slide in ice block drawer.

Being a loyal customer of Samsung, i knew my next refrigerator had to be from Samsung. This french door model is compact, spacious, has plenty of options to store all my items. Also, the doors dont close without a bit of a push, so often I will notice one of the doors partially open as it closes but not all the way

Great fridge - tons of space. The layout is very adaptable with generous freezer space. Only ding is that the left-hand door of the fridge does not auto-close (needs a little more of a push than I am used to in an American fridge) but that is easy to adapt to.

Having individual freezers is handy the day to day stuff one side. Fridge should be the same except veg draw on left side won’t open unless both doors open defeating the purpose of two doors. Shelves a little tight.

I was seeking a slim french door fridge that would be less than 90cm in width, and not too deep, either. The colour really pleasantly surprised me. It’s like this fridge has a soul and I can feel that ‘he’ is happy to be here. It sings when I open the door, and it’s really cute. The stainless-steel borders around the inner shelving and the crystal looking freezer bins are also amazingly cute. However, I am a visual person, and I wish the door shelves could have been lower, like, spread out lower – and so that the crispers be made smaller - c'mon, this won't convince me to drink less soft drink, or eat more veggies and fruit hahaha... And that the door shelving be made slightly, ever slightly deeper, taking away from the depth of the inner shelving for more balance. I almost swapped this for an LG 530L of very similar dimensions. In the end, I didn’t, because the LG was way too ‘shiny’, and as I had worked with fridges during uni days, I knew that their kind of ‘steel’ would dent and ding easily; amongst other reasons including that this fridge had the opposite problem – the inner shelving were too shallow, and the door shelving were too deep/big, and I had read elsewhere about air filters needing to be changed, noisy compressors, and slamming doors. Samsung 488L is a tall, dark, and handsome fridge, even with the ‘high’ bottom door shelves.

We've had the SRF7100 for about a year now and so far quite pleased with the Samsung french door. The versatile fridge storage including split shelf is fantastic for efficiently fitting in large things like lettuce containers and jugs, the door tubs are ergonomic and the freezer drawers are large and easily accessed. No complaints with the performance, noise, etc. The stainless steel surface grubs up with fingerprints easily and can also scratch, so take care with magnets etc that you may use. Getting the fridge level and aligned on an uneven surface was quite troublesome, the front corners can be adjusted independently but at the rear there are just rollers, so I had to use a bit of masonite under one corner to get it level. Thankfully there is a degree of adjustment to the doors in order to help get them evened out. The only real gripes after a year of use are from the french door operation, which might be common to other brands. Firstly, the flap on the left fridge door that seals against the right door occasionally doesn't behave as intended, and when you go to close the left door it can whack against he right door instead of going down its track. Secondly, because of the extra effort to close the left door, sometimes you fling it shut and it doesn't actually seal, but it does close enough that the light will not operate and the alarm will not sound, so you can end up with the door ajar all day or night without realising.
