Much like many other reviewers, this fridge had a huge block of ice forming at the back of the freezer after almost 4 years. Because the fridge was outside of it's warranty period, Samsung offered nothing but a repair centre where I would have to wear the cost. Looks like this fridge came out around 2016, the same year as the ill-fate Galaxy Note 7 - where was Samsung's R&D budget that year. At least the repair centre were helpful, providing advice and expectations of costs, that's 1000x more than what the Samsung team did - who just wanted to drop me like a bag of hot potatoes. I'm now left with deciding whether to potentially pay half the value of the fridge to repair it, or just buy a new one altogether.

Was initially happy with the fridge and all its features. It used about the same power as my old small fridge 210L. Unfortunately water has been dripping from the freezer into fridge through the light socket/fitting. After the freezer was unpacked to find the source, it was evident the freezer lining has buckled with ice under it (internal), and the back control plate is protruding into the freezer by 3cm - from the ice forming behind it. This may have been developing for years? Contacted Samsung, they said they will help even if out of warrantee, as long as I provided photos and model no. After I provided these, they said sorry no, the cost of (their) technician will need to be paid by me. Was given a ph no and sent a 20% voucher with a 1 week to purchase date attached. Poor quality, poor support, and likely dangerous having water internally leaking in an electrical appliance. Just don't buy.

It stopped cooling properly after only 3 years. Paid for a technician who determined it was a compressor issue. Samsung, after two days spent over the phone, refused to help despite the fridge being just out of warranty (the compressor was still covered, but they would not pay for labour). What is the point of going with a reputable brand for this outcome. I won't repeat the mistake!

Purchased brand new in 2016. Within 2 years the fridge began frosting up with so much ice inside at the back of the fridge. Samsung technician came out and fixed the issue. Told me this is a common issue with this model. The issue has come back again and worse. I turned off the fridge to ensure all the ice had melted over 24 hours. Ive had to do this at least 3 times in the past 2 years. So much wasted food. So much wasted time. So much wasted money. I reached out to Samsung live chat support. Went through anll the trouble shooting and told me they can’t do anything and referred me to a local fridge repairer. The fridge is under 10 years old. Would not recommend Samsung fridge to my family or friends. Expected much better from a so-called reputable brand. Never again.

I brought this fridge three years old it’s totally waste of money. It leaks water, ice buildup even through it’s a frost free fridge. Food goes off quickly because it not working properly. It then stop working again. I am so disappointed. I will never any Samsung products again.

Puchases this fridge new, It has had a constant large (huge) iceblock at the back of the fridge area, freezer is fine - and it then leaks water. Have defrosted it numerous times and its never overloaded with food but the ice block always comes back - hopeless, shouldn't i be defrosting the freezer no the actual fridge!. So mad I wasted my money should have bought a second hand fridge would have been a better option!

Bought it not 4 years ago, had to be fixed just after I bought it luckily in warranty. now the fridge doesn't cool and I've been told it will cost more than $300 to fix. I think I'll go back to Westinghouse, much more reliable.

I bought my Samsung 316l fridge 5 years ago. The fridge is not working properly now. Food not keeping to safe temp. Freezer is ok. It has a digital inverter. A fridge mechanic said you’ll probably pay half to 3/4 of its original cost to fix it. I would not recommend. With fridges like this - what a waste .

Our old Fisher & Paykell had given us excellent service for 24 years, but the freezer wasn't working too well and as there are only two of us at home now, we wanted something a bit smaller. This Samsung is just the size we need and as we have had good service from our Samsung Washing Machine and TV products, we chose it. The only problem is the top shelf which doesn't leave enough height room for 2 litre milk containers. We fixed this by removing the shelf and storing it away in case we ever need it.

I actually bought two of these fridges for separate properties, and like the movable trays in the fridge door for when we have taller items to store, and the removable ice box and flip-out tray which can be placed anywhere in the freezer. The design is great - modern and flat so it fits well in line with the kitchen walls. But occasionally the fridge makes loud noises to the point where I've walked from the next door room to work out what it was! Overall I'd recommend it.

I bought this fridge about a month ago. I was restricted by the space I was moving in to. This fridge is only 164cm high, but has plenty of room for three adults. Tye freezer is a little on the small side for us, but it's ok, especially without the ice cube trays. The fridge itself makes good use of the space. Everything has been lovely and cold, without being too cold.

Used in a share house with 4 adults and there is enough room in it for all of us. The moveable ice maker takes up a lot of room but if you were desperate for extra freezer space you could just take it out. Looks great and not over the top expensive, I would definitely recommend this for anyone in a situation where it would be used for 4 or less people.

I bought this a month ago and although it is a great looking fridge, the internal capacity is small and impractical. A 3L milk will not fit anywhere in the door shelving for example. Aside from that it works well and looks good.
