Using the Volume buttons

One of the simplest ways of adjusting the volume on your Galaxy phone or tablet is simply through the designated volume keys. Depending on the application you are in will also determine which volume setting you are adjusting. If you are watching a video and use the volume key, the media volume will either turn up or down, however if you are on your home screen your ringtone volume may be adjusted.

If you are having issues turning up the volume using the volume buttons check to see if anything is applying too much pressure on the keys. This could include third party cases or covers. If you do have a case on your device, try removing it and pressing the volume button again. If you do not get any response or pop up message when pressing the volume keys you may need to head into your nearest Samsung service centre and have the device assessed by our technicians.

Please Note: The above model layout is the Galaxy S10 5G, device layout may vary depending on your Galaxy device.
