Using Google Duo on my Galaxy phone

Enjoy Video Calling up to 8 people with Google Duo on your Galaxy phone, it has now been integrated within the Contacts, Messages and Phone apps to easily get in touch with the people who mean most to you. Whether they're overseas or down the road from you, with Google Duo you'll be able to easily and conveniently Video chat any family member or friend with a Google Duo account. Please Note: This guide is designed for Australian variant Galaxy devices, if you have an international device and require further support click here to get in touch with your Samsung subsidiary. Google Duo service may vary depending on your network provider. Using Google Duo directly through the Phone, Message and Contact app is currently ONLY available on the Galaxy devices opertaing on Android OS Version 10.0 (Q).

 

Prior to follow the below guide ensure that your Galaxy device has an internet connection - either a Wi-Fi network or using your mobile data and the receiving device has successfully set up Google Duo.

Using Contacts
1 Head into Conatct app icon Contacts
Head into Contacts app
2 Select a contact you would like to video chat
Select a contact you would like to video call
3 Tap on Google Duo iconto start video calling
Tap on Google Duo video calling icon
4 Agree to the Terms of Services and Privacy Policy
Agree to the T&Cs and Privacy Policy
5 Type in your phone number then select Agree
Type in contact number then select Agree
6 Enter in your verification code
Enter in verification code
7 Once your mobile number has been verified, you will be able to video call your chosen contact
Video Calling contact
8 To answer a Video Call touch and hold Answer Video call icon then swipe up the screen
To answer a call swipe up on the blue camera icon
Using Messages
1 Head into Message app icon Messages
Head into Messages app
2 Select an exsiting conversation you would like to video chat
Select Text message conversation
3 Tap on Google Duo iconto start video calling
Tap on Google Duo video calling icon
4 Your Galaxy S20 will begin to video call your chosen contact

5 To answer a Video Call touch and hold Answer Video call icon then swipe up the screen
To answer a call swipe up on the blue camera icon
Using Phone
1 Head into Phone app icon Phone
Head into Phone app
2 Type in a contact number in the keypad then select Google Duo icon to start video calling
Type in contact number in Keypad, then tap on Google Duo video calling button
3 Your Galaxy S20 will begin to video call your chosen contact

5 To answer a Video Call touch and hold Answer Video call icon then swipe up the screen
To answer a call swipe up on the blue camera icon
Changing Default Video Calling app
1 Head into Phone app icon Phone
Head into Phone app
2 Select Recents
Tap on Recent
3 Tap on Three dots icon
Tap on the three dots
4 Tap on Make video calls using
Tap on Make video calls using
5 Select Duo
Select Duo
