What is the Screen off Memo?

On the run but don't have a pen and paper? You don't need to worry anymore. The Screen off Memo allows you to quickly access a digital notepad on your Samsung Galaxy Note5 or Note8 to take down quick notes whenever, wherever you like. You can save up to 100 pages of Screen off Memo's. You can even pin the Screen off Memo onto the AOD so you won't forget any important reminders. 

How do I access the Screen off memo?Click to Expand
1 Simply pull out your S-Pen from your Galaxy Note5 or Note8, while it is idle on the black screen to load the Screen off Memo. If your S-Pen is out of your device, direct your S-Pen towards the screen and press the button on your S-Pen.

2 The Screen off Memo will load up. Write down your quick notes and then tap on Save in Notes.
Tap on Save in Notes
3 You will be re-directed to your lock screen and be informed that it has been saved successfully in Samsung Notes.

How do I view my saved Screen off memos?Click to Expand
1 Go into the Apps menu and open the Samsung Notes app.
Apps menu > Samsung Notes
2 Samsung Notes will now display your saved Screen off Memos.

How do I set my Screen off memo as my AOD?Click to Expand
1 Tap on the Pin icon located near the top left side of the Screen off Memo.
Tap the Pin icon
2 Tap on Pin to Always On Display to finalise the process.

Please Note: Your newly pinned content will be shown for 10 minutes on Always On Display. Double tap the pin icon to show it again later.

Tap on Pin to AOD to set Screen Off Memo as AOD
