Connect your Soundbar to the SmartThings App
SmartThings conveniently controls and manages smart home appliances and Internet of Things (IoT) devices with a smartphone. That includes Samsung soundbars, which you can connect to the SmartThings app and control it with a touch of a button. You can use your phone to turn the soundbar on and off, as well as adjust the volume and change the sound mode.
Note:
- To see if your Samsung soundbar is compatible with SmartThings, head to Compatible Devices.
- All devices should be connected to Wi-Fi or other wireless network, and registered with a single Samsung Account.
- Features and settings may be different depending on the model of your soundbar.
Before connecting your Samsung soundbar to the SmartThings app, ensure that your phone meets the following requirements:

Please ensure that your smartphone is connected to Wi-Fi, and that the SmartThings App is installed. A Samsung Account is required to use the SmartThings app.

- When using mobile data, costs may be incurred depending on downloads and wireless communication between devices.

Watch the video above or follow the steps below to connect your compatible Soundbar to the SmartThings app and you have first downloaded the app on your app's Play Store/App Store.
Note:
- Settings may vary by phone and software version. Images and descriptions support Android OS.
- If your soundbar is not showing up when adding devices and is already turned on, select 'Can't find your device?' and you will be prompted to scan the QR Code on your soundbar to connect.
