How to connect the Music Frame to SmartThings

Music Frame connected through smart things

SmartThings conveniently controls and manages smart home appliances and Internet of Things (IoT) devices with a smartphone. This includes the Music Frame which you can monitor and control all through the SmartThings app. Find out how you can connect with the below instruction.

Connection Requirements

Before connecting your smartphone with your Music Frame, ensure that your phone meets the following requirements:

Please ensure that your smartphone is connected to Wi-Fi, and that the SmartThings App is installed. A Samsung Account is required to use the SmartThings app.

  • All functions, settings and step descriptions related to the SmartThings App differ depending on the software version, smartphone model, OS version and manufacturer.
  • When using mobile data, costs may be incurred depending on downloads and wireless communication between devices.

Connecting SmartThings to your Music Frame

1. Launch the SmartThings App and tap the '+' (plus) button on the top right corner of the home screen.

2. Select 'Add device'.

3. Under 'Samsung devices', tap 'Add'.

4. Select 'Speaker'.

5. Turn on your Music Frame and select ‘[AV] Music Frame Rear’ when it is detected.

Note: Ensure your music frame is nearby to be able to be scan.

6. Verify device through scanning the QR Code on the device.

7. Follow the on-screen instructions to register the Music Frame.

8. After your device is registered, you can name and add it the location and room of your choice. Tap 'Done' to confirm.
