How to use the Gaming Hub on your Samsung Smart TV or Monitor

Samsung’s Gaming Hub is a new game streaming and discovery platform bridging hardware and software that provides a better player experience on select* Samsung Smart TVs & Monitors enabling gamers to instantly access the games they love.

In addition to offering access to their favourite games, gamers can look forward to better gameplay with minimised judder and blur thanks to advanced motion enhancements and latency reducing technology across selected Samsung’s Smart TV and Monitor lineups.

Game Hub

The Smart Hub on select Samsung Smart TVs has been updated and reorganised into various tabs such as Media, Game and Ambient and is easily accessed through the sidebar menu or by pressing the Home button on a compatible, connected controller.

There are multiple ways to play. You can select a cloud game to launch and jump right into the action; or access your connected gaming console via the tile featured within the home page.

*Gaming Hub is available on selected 2022 and 2023 models of both Smart TV's and Monitors. Selected models include: 

TV models: QN900C, S95C, S90C, QN90C, QN85C, Q80C, Q70C, Q60C, CU8000, QN900B, QN800B, QN95B, S95B, QN90B, QN85B, LS05B, LS03B, LS01B, Q60B, BU8000, 98Q90A

Monitor models: G65B, S90PC, M50C, M70C, M80C, G70B, G65B, M70B, G85SB, G70NC, G97NC, G95SC, G97NB

Gaming Hub supports diverse USB and Bluetooth controller devices. (Refer to compatible device list below)

Not only for streaming gameplay, but also to control and navigate menus on your TV or Smart Monitor.

  • Some games require a subscription and/or an account to be accessed.
  • Some functions may not be supported depending on the device model and/or geographical area.
1 Head to Game on your TV or Smart Monitor

2 Select the controller icon on Gaming Hub.

3 Press the pairing button of the controllers and wait for the detection.
4 Choose Continue

Note: 

  • Up to 4 Bluetooth controllers can be connected at the same time.
  • Up to 2 Bluetooth controllers can be connected while one Bluetooth sound device is in use.
  • It is recommended to use a USB controller while using two Bluetooth sound devices.

Quick Panel helps you to discover new games and videos as well as listen to the music of your choice via Spotify while gaming. You can easily pair Bluetooth controllers and change game settings such as picture mode, surround sound and low latency mode.

To access Quick Panel

Press and hold the Play/Pause button on your Samsung remote, or press and hold the Home button on your compatible, connected controller.

Remote
  • Controller / Sound Output : connect your Bluetooth controller and change the sound out.
  • Surround Sound : optimized audio for each gaming genre.
  • Game Picture : optimized picture quality for each gaming genre.
  • Game Performance : choose between the Low Latency mode for more responsive gameplay and AI upscaling mode for stunningly smooth visuals (this function is not supported on all device models).
Game Hub Settings

Gamestream provides a wide variety of games right on your TV through Samsung Gaming Hub.

Connect your controller through Bluetooth or USB and you’re ready to enjoy cloud gaming on your Smart TV or Monitor.

Accessories & Music

  • Controllers: Select a controller to connect to your device
  • Audio: Select an Audio Device to connect to your device
  • Music Services: Manage the music to play while playing a game.
  • Apps & Devices: Install or remove apps or devices that are required to play games.
  • Game list: Select a game to view the game details or run the game.

To run some games, you may need to install related apps, purchase games or subscribe to services.

Game Activity & Options

  • At the bottom of the landing page, you can access the Gaming Hub settings menu.
  • To configure Game Activity and Options, scroll down to the very bottom.

Game Rating Lock: Set age limit for game play

The age limit lock is only supported for cloud game browsing in Gaming Hub. Select your child’s age in the pop-up menu to ensure only content for that age rating is clickable. You can also set a PIN code.

Personalisation Settings

Tailored content is recommended, based on the games recently played and new content the user maybe interested in. You can also turn on/off personalisation, the recently played list, personalised content and/or partner curation via this feature.

Note: 

  • Some keys may not be available on devices depending on the controller used.
  • Force feedback may not be supported depending on controller used.
  • Tizen TVs will support only XInput mode for the compatible controllers.
  • Xbox controllers may require firmware updates.
  • Other controllers may or may not work for cloud gaming.
  • Controller audio output (3.5mm port) is not available on some devices.
1 The Gaming Hub is not displayed.

1. Check if the latest software is installed.  

2. Update the software and then unplug the TV’s power cord and plug it back in or long-press the power button for at least 3 seconds.

2 Picture/sound is interrupted or the response is slow during cloud gaming.

1. Check the network status of TV.

    (Home > Menu > Settings > Support >Device Care> Self Diagnosis> Smart Hub Connection Test)

2. If the network status is OK, contact the network service provider to check the internet speed. For recommended network speed, contact the game service provider.

3. If symptom persists, this may indicate a problem with game server. Contact the game service provider.

  • If you are having trouble with your Samsung Smart TV or Monitor, you should always check to see if   there are any software updates available as these may contain a fix for your problem.
  • Device screenshots and menus may vary depending on the device model and software version.
