Albeit a bit taller than expected, a step stool may be needed for our kids that help with laundry. From the see through window, to the built-in stain washing spout, to the generous amount of smart features, this washing machine will make families happy. Connected to WiFi and the Smart Things app is a breeze, and it makes it easy to get notifications when the wash cycle is complete, as well as program specific wash cycles for a variety of clothing/bedding options and more. My previous machine was so loud I could hear it from another level in my home. This Samsung washer is a dream in comparison. This washer can wash 2 loads in the time My old one could do 1 load. I am able to get multiple loads done in a short amount of time. I love that I can turn on super speed and make the load wash even faster. The only thing I am not thrilled about is because of its large capacity the drum is deep. I am short so in order for me to reach items from the bottom of the drum, I require a step stool.

Don't do it. Don't buy this washer, as nice as all the features appear to be. I've only had it for about 4 years and it already went bad. It has never handled large loads well. It leaves residue after it drains, so if I wash my white bath rugs, I have to rewash another 2 or 3 times to get the dirt left over out because it just floats on the water as it drains. The springs went bad so it gets out of balance super easy and they are expensive to replace. But the warranty was worthless so I've had to pay so much for repairs at this point that I actually wish I would have never bought it. Save yourself the trouble.

I does a great job of cleaning our clothes after a hard days work. I can set the washer to what spin speed I want and it really an efficient washer. It is also quite quiet to run which is imporant to me bc I run the washer at odd times of the day and night. This was the first time I bought a black washer. Our house is contemporary styled and it fits the decor ergonomically. . However it does show fingerprints more. Not sure I would get black again. I really do not use the phone connectivity so I can not speak on that subject.

This is hands down better than the washer we previously had and gets things done faster, quieter and importantly just seems to get things cleaner! It also has a nice look to it and a quiet close lid. Would not hesitate to recommend it! In addition the smart things app notification is handy, even pops up on our Samsung TV briefly letting us know the cycle i done, convenient! The self wash function makes keeping the washer clean and odor free a simple press of a button.

There was a lot of what not to do in the book but the actual specifics on how everything worked could have been clearer. Once I worked my way through what the actual process was we were off and running. Yes this wash does take longer to complete a load if laundry but it uses less water and cleans better than my old agitator washing machine. It is very quiet which is lovely. I highly recommend this washer and it's dryer mate. Definitely worth the money.

I also enjoy that it’s WiFi connected I can set it on my phone with the SmartThings app to start when I’m on the way home or I can delay the start time for hours later. I can also set it on fast wash which is awesome if I’m in a rush. I also love that it has a separate spout to rinse something off before doing a full load. The inside is nice bc the agitator in the middle is straight down and my clothes don’t get caught around the bottom. The vibration reduction technology is nice and my washer stays in place now. This is the perfect washer for my family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this washer and immediately noticed that the water is very cold on the Normal cycle. According to the manual, the washer has "Automatic Temperature Control" (ATC) and Level 3 should feel like swimming pool temperature and Level 5 should feel like warm bath water on the Normal cycle. This is NOT the case. Samsung came out and said it was functioning as designed (clearly not the case as compared to what the manual said) so I had the retailer exchange it for another unit. I am having the same problem now. There is clearly a problem with the Automatic Temperature Control that Samsung has failed to address. I’m highly disappointed in the quality of this washer and would not recommend it.

I'm not going to lie at first I had trouble figuring out the settings but the ability to manage your loads through an app made things so much easier. It's a set it and forget it until you are reminded that you were washing. It's great! The warranty is great! I use to have an LG front load washer and loved It until it went out after 6 years and the parts were no longer available to fix. Highly recommend this Samsung washer you won't be disappointed.

Not sure if I like the no agitator. I don’t think clothes get as clean as with an agitator. Like the quick wash is great at 28 mins but is it getting my clothes clean. I’m going to have to put some stains on things and wash and see. If you use the deep wash I’m sure they get clean but it’s also like a 1:30 mins to wash. I’m not too computer/tech savy either so learning how to use this was a 3 day event. Once somebody walked me through it I was good, but I didn’t think I was gonna be able to use it for a while… what are others thoughts on the cleanliness of your clothes?

The first thing that hit me was the sheer size of the drum—we can finally wash our comforters without feeling like we're stuffing them in. The Super Speed Wash is a game-changer; it gets our daily clothes done so fast, which is perfect for our busy schedule.
I'm a big fan of the soft-close lid, which is a small detail but a nice touch. The one minor thing is that the drum is pretty deep, so if you're on the shorter side, you might have to stand on your toes to get those last socks out. But that’s a small price to pay for being able to do fewer loads of laundry. Overall, it's a great machine that’s been making laundry day way less of a chore.

Very large capacity and can fit a comforter with ease. Haven't tried most of the smart features but its very intuitive. For instance it "weighs" the clothes by a few light roations and uses enough water necessary for the cycle so it won't just fill water to the top for each cycle and waste excess water. Took a little figuring out since that wasn't with the initial product but a clever design to save water

The lid is soft-close, so it’s not made for those with anger issues who like to slam their lids (not me). It is much quieter than my previous washer. It’s got a nifty, easy to read display (with cool little noises) that looks like they were almost made by Star Trek laundry engineers. Also, the lid is see-through , so I spent a couple of minutes watching it wash. A person is supposed to be able to connect it to the wifi, and I’m currently working on that—as soon as I’m done with this review. Ta!

I love that it softly closes and connects to the phone via smart things app. The app will let me know when I need to do a self clean cycle and the washer looks great after doing that. I love that I know how long the wash will take and that there is a quick wash option. I can also choose to delay the start time which is nice. The app reminds me when it’s done as well. I like the jingles, but the children do not. Easy to use. The lid is slower than expected. I like the concept. The rebalance feature is spot on. I think this is better with the app, but that's not practical. Maybe it needs its own screen. Cleans very well. Towels feel better in hard water. More compact than the other larger tubs, yet roomy. Recommended by the delivery guy too. Overall, I'd buy a set next time, because it looks nice too.

First off, the capacity is incredible—I can easily fit king-sized bedding or massive loads of laundry without any issues. The cleaning performance is top-notch; my clothes come out looking brand new and even tough stains are completely gone. I'm also really impressed by the speed of the cycles, which get everything fresh and clean much faster than my old unit.
Another huge plus is how quiet it is; there is virtually no noticeable vibration or shaking, even during the highest spin cycles. Finally, the smart connectivity is a game changer. Being able to check the status on my phone and getting an alert when the load is done makes managing chores so much easier. A fantastic, well-rounded appliance!

Purchased this and a dryer of Samsung one year ago. Have had nothing but problems with both . The washer sometimes doesn’t drain and the dryer doesn’t always dry and the loads turns off . It’s been nothing but a hassle ;( would never buy Samsung washer and dryer again . Would have kept the old ancient machines we had in our home when we bought our home. I have little no faith that these Samsung machines will work for the next 5 years .

It’s really quiet compared to others I have had. I love that you can connect the app and get a text when your load is finished. I wouldn’t recommend for short people as it would be hard to get clothes out. I’m 5’6” and it’s deep for me. I love the see through lid that soft closes. It has a pause if you need to add clothes after starting. Spins out water super well so clothes take less time to dry. So far I would highly recommend.

It's a top loader and I am happy to be done with a front loader - having to keep the door open, and still developing dark mildew stains.
Something that I wasn't expecting is that after the spin, and I remove clothing items, they are so wrung out, to the point of having more creases than when in the the front loader, since in that machine, the load still spins softly and makes the clothes 'looser.'
I will experiment with perhaps lower levels of spin to see how that is.

I was planning on getting an Electrolux since the last two I’ve had were Electrolux and I loved them, but this one caught my eye because of how beautiful it was, so I decided to give it a try. It’s not only beautiful, but it does a good job at washing, and I really appreciate how the drawer of the pedestal opens and closes.it doesn’t sound like a big thing, but my husband has had to replace a part twice on the Electrolux.

Our previous washer did not have a agitator and I am happy our new Samsung washer does. I love the smart things feature, because I am very busy and sometimes forget I did a load of laundry, it’s a great reminder. I wish it had more features, like a towel setting. This washer takes almost 2 hours to wash a load of towels on heavy duty setting with an extra rinse. That is very disappointing, it doesn’t seem like an energy efficient feature to me. Also takes about 20 min longer to do a normal load, compared to our previous Samsung washer. This new washer is so much quieter and I definitely enjoy that, our clothes seem to be cleaner. All in all I think it’s a great washer for the price, I would recommend to friends and family.

Our old washer was a few days shy of being 10 years old when a code came on and it was too expensive to fix. I looooove my new washer Elsie!! Yes, I named my washer. She works so well. I love how she tells me to do a self cleaning cycle between loads. I didn’t think I would enjoy having an app for my washer but it truly is the app I need in my life. My clothes are coming out so clean and my towels are softer. I can’t wait to get the matching dryer!! Then my life will be complete.

Our old machine was no longer operational and wash was piling up.
This machine has a sleek cabinet and a console that beats all others
It's easy to opt from the many cycles and to be able to pick the length of the spin cycle and how many rinses you desire as well as the length of the cycle depending on the type of clothing is fantastic.
I don't often do the laundry, but now I find myself pitching in more often.
Being able to change my selection during use is also a plus, in case I picked the wrong one in error.
I would recommend this machine to anyone who is super busy as it can be monitored from your cell phone once you scan the QR code and follow the simple instructions. I couldn't find a single con against this Samsung washer .

Never buy one of these machines if you want a washer that works for over 5 years.There is just myself and my wife in our household.We bought one around 5 years ago.Now I spend more time trying to get it to spin without it getting unbalanced.5 towels or a set of 2 bedsheets and 4 pillowcases and it takes me an hour unloading soaking washing to try to.load it again to make it balanced I even went as far as folding towels before washing them. Will never buy again and NEVER recommend

The first thing that sparked my mind was this SmartThings app. I love the option to be able to set my washer from inside especially when I have things that need to soak a little more which is also another great feature. The capacity of the washer is awesome. I’ve washed a bunch of blue jeans, towel a bed comforter and still had room left in the washer. Hands down this is the best capacity washer I have ever owned I have not tried the self clean option but assure you I will. The wash speed is great. I love the quick wash for sure. The interior of the washer is pretty cool looking. When I put clothes in I always think there’s no way these clothes can’t get clean. Oh and the vibration reduction technology is definitely noticed when you start a load.

The day it arrived I was so excited that I did three loads of wash immediately.
The washer runs much more quieter than my old machine and has many more options.
I can even wash my large comforters in the machine with room to spare.
My favorite part is the Smart Control, which allows me to control the washer thru my cellphone and let's me know what stage the wash cycle is in and how much time remains until the load is done.
The only drawback I have is, the tub is very deep, so I have to lean over and into the washer to remove the clothes , but that is a small price to pay for such a fantastic washing machine.
The clothes come out clean and damage free, since there's no agitator to get wrapped around.

The clothes come out almost dry which cuts drying time almost in half. There are so many wash cycles that leave your clothes looking and feeling so clean. The wireless feature is amazing it allows you to set the cycles that you want to use and send it to the washer all with a few clicks on my phone. Due to this feature teaching my preteen kids to do their laundry has been a breeze. The no center agitator works amazingly for my down comforter and pillows. It is so roomy that I can easily wash everything. No issues with the bedding, I throw it all in and use the deep fill mode to add more water. The washer itself is about the same height as my existing dryer, but since it is top loaded, with the lid open I am unable to hang my clothes to dry on the rod/hangers.
It's so quiet that my dogs don't stand guard and bark at it like my old washer lol

I’d only had it for about eight years and apparently in washing machine years that’s a lot nowadays. I had no idea what kind of washer I wanted, but talking with a friend she said she Had a Samsung and loved it and it was reliable and that’s old me. I thankfully was able to find one that could be delivered the next day. Having had it now for about a week I absolutely love it! There’s so many options to choose for the kind of what you want to do and how specific you want your clothes washed. Also, it’s huge! Not having the agitator has made it so much easier to wash things like blankets and big loads of laundry. It’s great at getting all of the water out of clothes so drying has been much simpler too. All I know is if my dryer goes I am going to be getting the dryer that matches this washing machine without any hesitation!

The combined cycle for bedding/waterproof is confusing, most bedding is not waterproof except a matress cover? The drum spins very hard on this cycle, and can bang the sides when only washing sheets and pillow cases even on the lowest spin setting. Overall, a good machine.

Do not but this washer unless you want to spend endless hours trying to get it to spin out. Don't worry it won't, it doesnt matter how the clothes are arranged or the load size. I changed the tension bars didn't work, leveled it, recalibrated, nothing works. Only had it 3 years, and from what I've read I am not the only one to have this issue.

I thought it was 10 years old, check the code when they were switching it out. It was manufactured January of 2006. It was never as quiet as this one is, or as fast. Once you download the SmartThings app, you can utilize the "laundry recipe" function--you tell the machine via app what type of clothes you are washing, how soiled they are, and if they are colors or whites. From there, the app gives you a couple different "recipes" to choose from that best matches what you have in the washer and away you go! It even sends your phone a notification when the load is complete. It also has something called Vibration Reduction Technology--the washer is so quiet you can barely hear it running. The drum of the machine is huge! I was able to fit a comforter with ease and with still room to spare. The drum itself on the inside is beautiful and shiny. There is a self-clean option you can also use, but I haven't made it that far yet! I know I'll never have to go to the laundromat again to wash heavy bedding because this machine handles it. Get it!

I hate this machine. We’ve had it for a little over four years and there have been issues on top of issues. It leaves a weird residue on dark clothing no matter what soap we try. It becomes unbalanced easily and every time we adjust the load it continues to add 20 minutes to the spin cycle resulting in over THREE HOURS for one load

But it was worth the wait. I'd amassed a huge pile of laundry: clothes rIpe for washing. I thought I was looking at spending a whole day or two at home just doing laundry. Was able to get everything done in 2 loads due to the ginormous capacity of this new machine. I could see that my clothes and sheets had less detergent residue on them too. So it must rinse well. I'd left and forgotten to turn on the 2nd load so thankfully I could use my Samsung Smartthings app to start and track the load. I use this app on all my Samsung products and it's inuititive, easy to get anything done, and I knew exactly when I had to get back to put my stuff in the dryer. I told my Mom that we now have to get a great new Samsung dryer instead of the old jalopy we have. If/when I ever get my own home I'm definitely going to fill it with Samsung appliances.

Really loving this washer! Wish we had gotten a Samsung washer from the beginning. My only small issue is how long the cycles are. However, I look at it as the clothes are getting cleaner :) It is also nice not to have to go to the laundromat to do big blankets. The tub is big enough to handle that too.
