Why does my Samsung TV show Error 2100 when using BBC iPlayer?
If your 2020 T Range Samsung Smart TV displays Error 2100 when trying to play BBC iPlayer content, you will need to complete a Flash Reset. This article will advise you of certain precautions before performing a Flash Reset as well as guide you through the Flash Reset process.
Before performing a Flash Reset
Please be aware that a Flash Reset will delete more information than a Factory Reset. During the process, the TV will reboot once before starting up in the “Out of box” condition.
You will need to reinstall the TV from scratch and once connected to the internet, all Apps including hidden background Apps, will be downloaded from Samsung Servers and freshly installed. Because of this, there may be instances where the TV seems slow to respond or pauses, but please be assured that this is normal.
Once the installation is complete, you will need to sign in to all applications including BBC iPlayer.
Once you have completed the Flash Reset you should not see this issue or error message again. However, if the problem does persist, please contact Samsung Support.
How to perform a Flash Reset
Please note: If the standby LED remains lit for longer than 5 seconds, you will have to start the procedure again from Step 1.
