Switch Between Devices in Galaxy Wearable App

The Galaxy Wearable app has a great memory. With its Auto Switch feature, it will remember if you've paired more than one Galaxy wearable device, such as a Galaxy Watch. That way, you can easily switch between your devices. Or, if your current device disconnects, the Galaxy Wearable app will automatically search for another paired watch to connect to.

This feature is not available on iOS devices or the Samsung Galaxy Watch app.

Use Auto Switch

Oops, you forgot to charge your Galaxy Watch and it's about to die. No problem, if the battery runs out, Galaxy Wearable will connect to another device that is turned on.

Before we proceed, please be aware that the Auto Switch option won't appear unless you have connected more than one watch.

Navigate to the Samsung folder and then open the Galaxy Wearable app. Touch More Options, and then touch Auto switch. Next, touch the slider to turn Auto Switch on or off. Now, the phone will automatically connect to whatever paired wearable you have on.

Note: This feature only works with smart watches. It will not work if you connect two of the same type of device. This feature is not available on iOS devices.

Switch Devices Manually

If needed, you can manually switch between your devices that are connected to Galaxy Wearable.

First, make sure the other device is turned on. Then, navigate to and open Galaxy Wearable on your phone.

The name of the most recent device (Galaxy Watch, Gear S3, etc.) will appear in the upper left-hand corner of the Galaxy Wearable app. Touch the arrow next to the current device's name to view the list of your paired devices. (The arrow will not appear unless you have already connected more than one device.) Select the device you wish to connect to and it should automatically connect.

Note: You may need to turn off the original device to manually connect to the new one. This feature is not available on iOS devices.
