Connecting your Dishwasher to SmartThings

The SmartThings* App conveniently controls and manages smart home appliances and Internet of Things (IoT) devices with a smartphone. From the outside, you can monitor and control the status of various devices, such as smart devices, home appliances, TVs, speakers, etc. registered on the server.

The SmartThings App is available on Android and iOS devices. A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required. Data fees may apply.
All the functions and step descriptions related to the SmartThings App differ depending on the software version. When using mobile data, costs may be incurred depending on the downloads and wireless communication between the devices. Available technologies and functions may vary depending on the country, service provider, network environment, or product.
Step 1
Open the SmartThings App.
Step 2
Press the three dots on the top right of the screen.
Step 3
Select add device.
Step 4
Select Add Samsung Device.
Step 5
Select Dishwasher.
Step 6
Scan the QR Code on the inside of your Dishwasher, or select Add without QR Code
Step 7
Select your Dishwasher in the menu once it appears.
Step 8
Press the Smart Control button. Do not hold it down.
Step 9
Wait for the Dishwasher to be added.You should see your wifi name on the screen.
Step 10
Name your Device, select it's home and location and then hit Done.
Step 11
Done! You should see your device in the 'Devices' tab of the app.
Step 12
If you select your device in the menu, you can access its SmartThings controls.
