How do I get out of Safe Mode or Android Recovery Mode on my Samsung Phone

If your phone or tablet is showing Safe Mode at the bottom corner of your screen, or seems to be stuck on a page that says Downloading or Odin Mode - help is here!

To get out of Safe Mode:

1 Press the Power button and select Restart

2 Alternatively, press and hold the Volume Down and Side key at the same time for 7 seconds.

If your device continues to boot into Safe Mode, no matter how many times you restart it - there may be something physically wrong with the Volume Down button. Please get in touch by phone or Live Chat, or find your closest service location to have your device assessed and repaired.

To get out of Download Mode:

If your device is stuck on a page that says Downloading.. you'll need to press and hold both the Volume Down and Power buttons at the same time, for 7 seconds.

Android Recovery Mode:

If your screen is showing in tiny text Android Recovery  - you'll need to be careful. It's not recommended to use this mode at all, but if you are stuck here and need to get out, follow the instructions:

1 Use the Volume Up or Volume Down button to highlight the option Reboot system now
2 Press the Power button to confirm the selection
