Originally purchased in 2022, replaced under warranty in 2024. 14 months later the dryer is taking 12 hours to dry a half a load of washing! Samsung technician attended repaired, still not drying came back and confirmed bottom unit needs replacing. Samsung since advised testing shows unit working to "Manufacturer Specifications"! If that's the case, I don't recommend purchasing this unit as it an energy consumption thief as 12 hours for a half a load is not economical!

Had this dryer for 1.5 years now. Features and settings are great, love it, BUT I am now wanting to get rid of it. As another reviewer said, the drum spins one way for bedding which is stupid and means that a tight lump of even a single bedsheet is what you get that is soaked in the middle. I have tried on various settings and it's the same. The second BIG negative is that the heat exchanger/condenser is hopeless. I clean it and the filter religiously with every load and now the lint build up in the fins is not able to be removed, leaves clothes smelling awful and it turns out that the exchanger unit cannot be removed without major disassembly, which would void warranty....Customer service is a dead end too, so I am left with a water pooling exchanger, wet clothes and a purse that's a lot lighter in less than 2 years. Not impressed, which is a shame, because despite it's inability to dry bedding, I love the variety of settings and features.

Have had this dryer for a few years. It does dry the clothes very well but there are a few issues with this machine. The heat exchanger gathers a lot of lint and is difficult to clean and at times gathers moisture and occasionally mould growth occurs. Just recently a clunking sound has developed and seems to occur on every revolution of the drum which may indicate something loose or worn on the drum drive. Drier does function very economically and averages around 1 kwh per cycle.

I've now had this dryer for approximately 18 months and mostly love it. The energy efficiency is amazing and the size of the load you can dry at a time is great for a good sized family. The smart connectivity is a plus and let's you know when your drying cycle has finished. There are loads of different programs for each load type which is another positive. Now for the negative.... and unfortunately this is quite a frustration and why I've dropped 2 stars from what wouldve easily been 5 stars. If you want to dry anything larger than towels I.e. bed sheets, small duvets etc, don't bother. You're better off for your own sanity hanging them on a washing line even if it's raining. This machine will only dry in one direction. The tub does go the opposite direction at first to sense the load but then as soon as the drying cycle starts only goes the one way. This turns all your sheets, bedding etc into a tight sausage and even after almost 3 has on the bedding setting means your sheets are still very wet in the middle. I've had samsung technicians out to look and they have even changed parts that I knew were fine. They did not believe me that this machine was DESIGNED to go in one direction only. This was confirmed to me by Samsung themselves. My really cheap and nasty dryer before this dried large sheets perfectly. Come on Samsung!! I'm sure nowadays with a simple software update you could make this dryer awesome instead of extremely frustrating and practically useless for drying bedding.

I bought this a week ago and have used it for 2 times. Amazingly that the duration took to dry my clothes has made no difference to the traditional dryer and even faster than it. The end results are even better than the traditional dryer. I don't need to worry to open the windows or door to ensure ventilation because with a condenser unit, it accumulates water during the drying cycle. A+++ for not to worry too much moisture in the laundry or in the house. Another A+++ is I can leave home without worrying about the security ( as all doors and windows are shut). Additional A+++ is AI mode in the machine itself can help to detect all type of clothes and determine the drying level. Plus, you can monitor the drying using your smartphone!!! Amazing product that I have used.

This Samsung 9kg heat pump dryer is honestly amazing. It dries everything perfectly without frying your clothes, and it’s super quiet too. The best part? I’ve got it linked with my Samsung washer, and it actually recommends the right drying cycle based on what I just washed – like, how cool is that? You can also control it from the SmartThings app, which is super handy, and it sends you a notification when it’s done. No more guessing or checking 10 times. Seriously makes laundry so much easier. 10/10.

Heat pump dryers go beyond traditional dryers which produce annoying fog and cold air, damage clothes by shrinking them and make loud noises that you cannot tolerate. This samsung dryer is all oposite the above. Its a heat pump so it does not produce unwated air that eventuallu ends up fogging your laundry. Its is gentle on the laundry so goodbye to shrinking your favourite clothes. Lastly you never hear a sound of it because they have designed it to me quiet when it operates

The product is good. It drys our clothes effectively using multiple program cycles, we choose the one appropriate for the clothes and it achieves the result. It does not shrink clothes like traditional dryers because its a heat pump. Its not spending too much electricity. We hang it on the wall over our washing machine and it looks nice. The extra Smart features are a gimmick and doubt ill ever use them but as a dryer, its an excellent product

This dryer is a large and effcient sppliance that handles all clothes loads with no compromise. The multiple cycles programmed in the machine gives a lot of flexibility to choose the right drying cycle for the fabric type. The reduced noice level ensures a peaceful laundry day so we could use it day or night. In addition, the energy savimg features allow you to reduce your bills. This is definetly a suitable choice for a busy family

This dryer does a great job overall. Clothes come out dry but not overheated, and the heat pump technology definitely helps with energy savings. I really like the smart features — being able to get notifications on my phone is super handy. It's also fairly quiet and looks sleek alongside my washer. Gave it 4 stars because the drying cycles can be a bit long compared to traditional dryers, but that’s expected with heat pump models.

The dryer has been really great! I was stoked to get this new samsung heat pump dryer without the inflated price tag (especially after we spent just over $1000 on a new washing machine last month) and so far hasn’t missed a beat. Still waiting for the electricity bill to come to see if ita as efficient as it claims. I love how it gently dries the clothes and is very quiet. The filter is at the front so its easy to clean too

Have recently purchased the samsung 9kg dryer and thoroughly in love with it so much. It works extremely well as clothes come out dry and free from wrinkles. The machine has a variety of settings for all types of clothing you could think of and all have been to my satisfaction. The bath towels are easy to dry and come out so fluffy. Would definetly recommend this home appliance as its efficient and totally worth the money

I had never owned a heat pump dryer but i hated my old dryer because it was plaqued with problems. Then i read that heat pump dryers are the newest dryers in the market. I bought this one because its smart. All the problems in my old one are non existant in this one. It works perfect and looks visually appealing. Its silent, it drys clothes quicly, it doesnt do any condensation, its the perfect dryer

I made sure i used this samsung heat pump dryer for One month before i write this review. Because this is a heat pump dryer , it does not cause on condensation on the walls. It uses less electricity than a normal dryer because of the heat pump tech, can confirm our power bill is lower now . It fits on top of our washing machine with a special accessory and they both look good together.

Excellent dryer coming from a generic cheap 4kg dryer. The heat pump is very gentle on our clothes. The dryer is too quiet so we are able to dry our clothes while the kids are sleeping. It was easily mountable with our old mounting kit. Not too large so it fitted our small laundry nicely. Appears to be energy efficient however i havent tested how much energy it uses per cycle yet.

Have had the dryer for a few months and it works really well. Only thing I would like to see is the ability to delay start directly on the machine, you can do it on the smart things app but I find the app a bit painful. As for the machine, it hasn't skipped a beat, performs well and clothes and towels come out fresh. I love that I was able to have this plumbed for drainage.

Having owned this heat pump dryer for a month now, i am really happy with it so far. My last heat pump dryer took forever to dry things, but this one dries in a very reasonable time compared to my previous one. It super easy easy to clean the condenser filter. It is nice to have a heat pump dryer that dries first cycle and not having to run another cycle like my old one.

Reason why i rate this 3 star is that it uses more electricity than our older one. It is also louder. Not that its a bad product as it does exactly what samsung advertise it to do. Its has smart features that others dont have and the heat pump is a nice technology and drys our clothes fine. If only samsung can fix the power consumption and noise , i would rate it 5 star.

This was an absolute bargain for the 9 star efficiency claimed by samsung. Other products are charging more with less energy efficiency. The unit is so easy to install and very simple to use. We got it for a good price and has so much value, we love it , and its good looking too. Its easy to clean for both drum and filter and has smart features that we are enjoying

The dryer does a really well job drying our clothes in the rainy days summer or winter. It is a large dryer , 9kg as advertised so you can imagine how much clothes will fit in it. It is a heat pump dryer, not a traditional dryer that is extremey noisy. It will handle all kinds of clothes and i was even able to dry my blanket in it. Good energy rating is a bonus.

Omg I had no idea this would make my washing days so handy and easy . It truly is amazing that there is no longer any condensation on the walls. It also collects lint so no need for the lint rollers. It’s quieter than old dryer and we use it more than the old one and our power bills are cheaper. We Love it so much and can’t see myself living without one

After owning this dryer for over a month, main issues i faced: the dryer can get noisy if overfilled and feels like its unsteady so you have to make sure its around 75% full, appears to be consuming more electricity than i thought and cannot get the smart part of the dryer to work. Other than that its a good little dryer with good functions.

Works well, no issue with drying at all. Love the smartthings connectivity and sync with the washing machine. The stacking kit is well designed, make the washer dryer stack seemlessly and the stay is perfect for folding clothes straight from the dryer. Electricity usage is minimal, haven't even noticed an increase in my bills.

The Samsung Heat pump dryer works very well and is gentle on the clothes. I had to put it in the kitchen cupboard as there's virtually no room in the laundry. Not too noisy and the cycles are quite fast . I *highly* recommend getting an aftermarket bracket to mount to wall if you have a small laundry, i will be getting one

I can say this is my favourite dryer ever. It does tender love and care to my clothes keeping them with no wrinkles and no damage to fabric, zippers or elastic. This samsung dryer is well built. It Looks great however takes twice as longer to dry clothes than my previous vented dryer i owned before this. Sometimes the clothes feel a little damp to touch. We purchased this dryer to hopefully save on electricity so maybe it will be cheaper to run.

My wife chose this for a few reasons, it is easy to mount over existing washing machine, it is not making any air fog, it is very quiet. She saw it at her friends when she visit and was impressed with it and told me to buy for her so I did. We are very pleased with it.

I’m quite pleased with this samsung heat pump dryer. it’s a very good size dryer which can take a large load (9kg to be exact) and dries our clothes really well. I found it to be a little on the noisey side but for the price we paid, i think it’s good value for money

I already have this dryer and it is so good, I just bought a second one! With a big family and with winter coming, this dryer is energy efficient, quiet to run and can be easily controlled from the app on my phone. If you’re after a dryer, this is the one to get 👍🏼

I think this was a smart idea to buy this heat pump dryer when we moved to our new apartment because the laundry didnt have proper ventilation. And this one does not bloew any air out so it was the ideal best dryer to buy. We bought it with a good discount

So we wanted a black dryer and we only found a few brands/models so we spoke to a few product reps from different brands but the samaung product reps were more convincing . We love the dryer. Its quiet, dries our clothes perfectly and easy to maintain.

My favourite feature is the drying function, wait its a dryer right. So my favourite features are everything. I just like washing and then drying my clothes quickly and then catching up on my tv shows on my samsung tv. Awesome dryer. Awesone functions.

Very good quality heat pump dryer, built very well like a commercial one. Works out of the box with no setting up required. Dries clothes as per its function. Quiet and economical. Very easy to install without the need to call a handyman or plumber

We found this samsung heat pump dryer user friendly and very easy to use and efficient. We live in a damp environment so we need to use a dryer after we wash. The heat pump technology allows us to save on electricity since we use it 3 times a week.

This is a smart dryer Benefits: heat pump technology, dries clothes, has a lot of sensors in the tub, has smart technology, is front loader dryer. The only not so good thing about it is that it is noisy and takes long time to dry the clothes
