Bought Samsung Top Loader washing machine February 2017 and have had 7 service calls to machine. Washing machine removed once from premises to workshop, after machine returned same problem recurs after 3 washes - wash cycle to take 1hr 6mins still running after 8 hours, cycle does not finish, cycle will count down to 46mins and will continue to run there until you turn off machine - clothes still not washed. Purchased extra warranty - "Product Care" - when we bought the machine and Samsung still not refunding price of machine. Will never again purchase Samsung products given their after care and customer service is terrible.

I purchased this machine on the 18th January this year from Harvey Norman Springvale. Whilst the machine works well so far and gives you many programs to choose from, I noticed a discolouration on the lip of the machine on Saturday. I contacted Samsung on Sunday to report on what I noticed only to receive an email saying they were not able to help me as the discolouration wasn't part of the warrante. I would have liked a bit more guidance on what could have caused this discolouration but was basically fobbed off. So basically my message is the machine is good so far, you may not get the information you are after or support when something goes wrong.

Purchased back in 2017. It worked well for years but then started having issues recently. Water was pausing when filling and then it stopped agitating and spinning. Cost me $200 for someone to tell me that it was not repairable due to clutch and drum issues. No error codes displayed nothing. I expect a machine to last at least 10 years. Nothing is built like they used to be. At least I got 6 years out of it unlike many reviews on here. You can no longer buy it but if you are do consider buying a second hand one just be mindful that it won’t last.

Got this as a replacement as my old Samsung machine was faulty and from day 1 I’ve uncounted issues. Doing a load is a nightmare when it’s on final spin the drum bangs from side to side then drains and then fills up water all over again and adds another 50 mins to the cycle, had error codes come up that don’t make sense, I’ve been through the whole manual on troubleshooting nothing I’ve done fixed the issue not too mention my water bill has skyrocketed because of how many times it fills the water back up aaarrrrrr so frustrating also I only premium washing liquid

I bought this machine on looks alone, my 1st mistake. Looks great in my black and white home, however that's where the love stops for me. Not all user friendly unless you want a machine that you can leave alone. I find if you wash in hot water then the machine also rinses in hot water unless you set it on Wash Only, then return for the rinse and spin cycle. Yesterday I set on Spin Only returning to find the machine had refilled with water!!! Not a fan at all, I would not recommend this machine...sorry Samsung!

We bought this machine in 2019 and it has worked very well for our needs. We are a family of six and it handles the regular large loads very well. The pre-wash sink is a handy addition so I can pre-treat stains straight over the machine, and the ribbing in the sink acts like a washboard so I can scrub out stains better. It does, however, have a couple of unfortunate drawbacks. If a load is unbalanced when it tries to spin it will go through another rinse to try to balance the load - not great for us on tank water when we have to be mindful of how much water we are using. It's also inconvenient that some settings on some of the cycles can't be changed. I sometimes would like to use the 'delicates' cycle but it is preset to 2 or 3 rinses and I can't change it back to one, again in order to save water. Other than that, I have liked using this machine.
I recommended this product.

The 4C error code is really annoying, which is said to be caused by water pressure, kinked hose, blocked filtors. But when all that is taken care of, still the machine does not fill. I am very unhappy with this samsung washing machine and Do Not recommend this product.

I bought this washing machine 2020 and due to the price we have had to suffer with it for 3 years, it doesn’t have quick wash as the machine adds time onto the wash cycles of its own accord so a quick wash of 45 mins ends up being 2 hours we only found similar reviews after we had it for 4 months and got annoyed with washes taking forever, smart app never worked and thankfully the machine has finally died so we can get a different one

Motherboard blew after 7 months. Took Samsung almost a week to get someone to look at it. Motherboard not available till another month, so took another five days to escalate claim. Contacted Appliances online, my first call was not returned when they said they would. Rang again today, only to be told a replacement is still being approved by Samsung. I know these are in stock here, because I checked, and I know a new machine could be dispatched to me but they refuse to do so until Samsung finally look at it. I should have learned my lesson about Samsung with the Galaxy Tabs I bought but you know. Do not buy this machine, and if you want a machine think twice about the customer service. Perhaps consider a brick and mortar retailer and negotiate. Remember, you’re a customer till you click ‘confirm sale’ and a problem thereafter.

Had this machine for about a month and I am so happy that I bought a top loader and not a front loader. My old front loader sounded like an aircraft taking off. This machine is so quiet! I can wash all my king bedding in one load. Previously I was constantly washing towels every day but now they fit in one wash. highly recommend this washing machine!!!! The delivery guys set it up for me which was very convenient and took away my old washing machine.

They installed my new machine and took away the old one. I am very happy with this washing machine and love the dual wash bowl option and the price was great. Have had this for around a month now, and it handles everything we throw at it. It is generally very quiet although sometimes if the load becomes uneven during the wash / rinse cycles it does wobble a little when it starts the initial spin (but normally corrects the balance itself somehow before it starts to spin fast). The only thing that confused me was when I didnt clip in the hand wash section to the lid once, and couldnt get it to start. Once you learn what the different beeps mean its obvious when you make mistakes, but for the first week having not used samsung top loaders before I didnt get the hints it gave me, and I couldnt see any warning lights so i was a bit annoyed for around 5 minutes all up (hence my ease of use rating) but i am definitely happy with it. having come from a 8.5kg front loader im not looking forward to the water bill, but we'll see :)

We bought this machine about 3 weeks ago, and it hasnt let us down. It has a very large tub, and where we would have done 2 loads we now do 1. Great for a large family. I dont think we have used all the features yet, but planning on using the special feature pre-soak tub that is built into the lid. Lots of wash options, even a blanket option. Very happy with the purchase.

With every push of a button Beep! Cannot turn the sound off. I know when I am pushing a button! Only the end alarm can be muted. My previous Samsung was a fantastic machine and I had the option to silence it but I am very disappointed with this new model. It appears this is the new norm with Samsung machines. No purchasing again.

I bought this machine 2 months ago and absolutely hate it. For a family of 7 with mostly small children I have a lot of washing to get through every day. This machine takes more then 3 minutes to even start up (apparently it has a lot of thinking to do) and over an hour to do a basic load, 3 hours to wash bedding and over 2 hours for baby clothes. I’ve never had so much washing back up as I have since buying this machine because there aren’t enough hours in the day to get through it all. So I basically have to still use the local laundry mat to keep on top of the washing. The water softner tray doesn’t empty properly and leaks water softner onto the finshed cycle so I then have to carefully pick through the clothes and rewash those again with softner on them. The bowl is so deep that I struggle to get stuff in the bottom of the machine. I’ve hung several loads of washing on the line dripping wet because the machine goes off balance and unless I restart the whole cycle again it won’t correct it self after the load it readjusted.

I've had this machine for a couple of months now and I really like it. I was using a front loader previously and thought I would try a top loader. It holds so much washing it's a huge machine. One person complained that the drum is so far down it is hard to reach stuff.. well duh of course if you are short (like me) and you buy a giant washing machine.. it could be difficult to get things that are right at the very bottom! I bought a little step and now I can reach no problem. I mean if you buy something this large what do you expect? I really like the options for how long the wash cycle is and how many rinses you want. The washing comes out really clean. I also love the filters inside the drum. This is great if you have dogs or horses like I do, because it catches the bits of hay and hair that might be on your clothes. If you wash the dogs beds and whatnot they come out super clean. Once you clean those things you can just do a drum clean and voila your machine is ready for non animal things. I found that it isn't a much longer wash time than if you were using a front loader. I can do 2/3 loads depending on type and that's me done! So different from having to do multiple loads spread out over days. I have not found that the softener drawer leaks I'm not sure why that other person found that to be the case. Maybe putting too much in at the one time? It does make beeping sounds when you are choosing you're cycle but they aren't too loud and it does a little tune at the end so you know it's finished. If you didn't have that you wouldn't know it was done because it is super quiet when running. I was concerned about the spin speed not being enough - the front loader I had was max 1400 and this is only max 800 - but I have actually only used low for clothes and medium for bedding they have always been well spun and I don't think I will ever use anything higher. I think that is better for my clothes. With the front loader I was doing it at 900/1100 depending on type. I haven't used the sink option yet but I think this is a great idea and one of the reasons I bought it. I purchased mine from The Good Guys in Ipswich and got the extended warranty just because of the feedback here about the poor Samsung service with issues.

It was good for a few years and now started banging loading during sin cycles and doesn’t seem to finish a cycle it just keeps filling up, Samsung are awful and don’t want to k ow about it as it’s out of warranty, it ended up costing me a couple of hundred dollars from a repair guy and a few months later it’s doing it again. I do not recommend Samsung or this product

It took awhile for me to figure out how to use it, but then it was fine. It takes about 30 seconds to start once you press the buttons but then it works like a dream. the machine has so many wash options and is very quiet. If you are short like me (5 foot 6) you may need a small step to reach the bottom of the tub. Perfect size for Kind sized bedding also!

Gives a good wash and doesn’t tangle the clothes. The bowl is extremely deep - I’m 5’9” and can only just reach the bottom to pull out smaller items like socks and underwear! If you have a shorter stature, look at a smaller capacity machine or be prepared to buy a step for your laundry! Personally, I don’t particularly like the hand wash bowl and it defeats the purpose of having a clear lid given it blocks your view into the machine. It may be a useful feature for perhaps soaking baby clothes, but beyond that it’s really too small to do much. Build quality is a bit flimsy - the frame bends and buckles when moving the machine, but once in place it’s not really an issue. Because it’s a much taller machine, it also didn’t fit under the wall mounted dryer, so have to rearrange existing configuration. That said, it definitely handles super king bedding much better than my old machine and the inclusion of lint filters means I have much less reliance on the dryer to remove excess lint etc. I’d buy again.

I was happy at first but the machine just keeps restarting when it is unbalanced. It will restart over and over if you don't manually stop it. The size is good but this issue is a major problem so I can't recommend this machine because of it. Samsung need to deal with this issue.

Love our new machine. Great pet filters. Washes well. Easy to alter cycles. Have hit my head a few times on lid as it only folds back to 90 degrees, so with the wash bowl attached to it, it lessens the opening a little, but otherwise, best machine I’ve ever used.

Time to wash keeps growing and growing during the wash. We are getting a 4C warning which means there isn't enough water pressure... this is a machine fault there is nothing wrong with the water pressure. Very disappointing considering the cost of the machine.

I love my new washing machine, it’s cut my washing down by half the amounts of loads and uses less water then my old machine. The sink in the lid with the tap are great for washing out dirty baby bibs and husbands socks! So glad I brought this machine!!

So far I am very happy with this machine and it works well and is very quiet. The machine automatically fills based on the load so if you only part fill it with cloths it does not fill to maximum so its easy to do a small load a big one.
