      What devices can I trade in?

      You can trade in smartphones, tablets, and wearables from various brands, if you’re purchasing a new Galaxy device. However, if you’re trading in for Samsung Credit, only Galaxy devices are accepted at this time.3

      Where can I check my Trade In order status?

      You can view your Trade In order status under My Page → My Orders.

      Do included accessories need to be returned?

      You don’t have to, but you can always send in your chargers, cables, cases and watch straps and we will dispose of them responsibly for you.

      Can I trade in without buying a new device?

      Yes, you can. Trade In is available even if you’re not purchasing a new device right away. You can receive Samsung Credit for your old device, to spend at Samsung.com later.

      Samsung Trade In enables customers to exchange their old devices for either an instant discount on a new Galaxy device purchase, or for Samsung Credit to spend later on Samsung.com.

      If you’re purchasing a new Galaxy device with an instant discount, you can trade in smartphones, tablets, and wearables from various brands.  You can trade in one device against one device purchase.

      If you’re choosing to receive Samsung Credit, only Galaxy smartphones devices are eligible for trading in at this time. You can trade in multiple devices to build up Samsung Credit for a future purchase.

      The Trade In value is based on the device’s model, condition, age and market demand. Our Samsung Trade In partners evaluate these factors to provide an estimated value, which is confirmed after your device has been evaluated.

      Once you receive your new device and your pre-paid postal pack, you’ll have 7 days to return your old device to us.

      If your device does not match the description you gave, the amount of Samsung Credit you are offered may be adjusted, and you will be emailed a new offer to accept or reject. If you reject the new offer, your device will be returned to you. If you don't respond within 7 days, it will constitute your acceptance of the updated offer.

      If you received an instant discount on a new Galaxy, and your device does not match the description you gave, your discount may need to be repaid, and your device may be remotely disabled.

      Start by using Samsung SmartSwitch to easily transfer all of your data on to your new device. Next, remove your SIM card and any memory cards from your old device. Finally, perform a factory reset on your old device by visiting the Settings. If you need a hand with anything, we’re available on Live Chat.

      Samsung Credit is a payment method only valid on samsung.com that can be used to pay for all mobile devices, TV and AV products, and Home Appliances. They can't be used to pay for subscriptions, or for third-party accessories through Samsung Marketplace.

      Once received, Samsung Credit will be ready to spend in your Samsung Account for 5 years from the date of issue.

      2. To be eligible for Trade in, your device must meet the following criteria:
        • Powers on and holds a charge without unexpected shutdowns.
        • No liquid damage or defects.
        • Reset to factory settings with all personal information and software locks removed. (Samsung Account, Google Account etc)
      3. If you receive an instant discount for new device but fail to return your old device, you will be required to repay the discounted amount in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.
      4. If the inspection result differs from expected, your Trade in value may be adjusted.
      5. Not all brands or models are accepted for Trade in. The list of eligible devices may change based on the availability of Trade In partners and the age of the device.
