“Start simple and work your way into complex.”
Connor Franta is a photographer, writer and entrepreneur who’s gotten a huge following and major respect for his candid and sincere YouTube videos. An outspoken supporter of LGBTQ+ rights and various charities, in 2015 he added a new music label, “Heard Well,” to his résumé. For his latest project, he collaborated with up-and-coming photographer, Sophie Sahara, to produce an intimate portrait series of newly-signed artist, Could Ever.
To make sure they got a range of options for Could Ever’s upcoming EP, they started the day inside a studio, then took it to the streets to use natural light and everyday backdrops. In the spirit of true collaboration, Connor and Sophie chose everything for the shoot together, from props and wardrobe to backgrounds and lighting. And then captured everything shoulder-to-shoulder on a GS9+.
