Bought 3 weeks ago, bit larger than previous microwave, appreciating the larger size inside. Top handle now used to and like it rather than front push handle. Simple 30sec time start didn’t think would like it now having used it wouldn’t go back. 1000W rather than 1100W of old unit no difference in cooking. Most package meals i get are all based on 1000W anyway. Clock setting so simple. Love the whole unit.

I’ve had this for a month and it is a decent machine. I’ll be honest and say that I tend just to use the 30 second button. I do miss the presence of a timer function which I had with my old Sharp. Also the darkness of the glass means it’s hard to see if things are about to boil over etc. but overall, nice machine, nice build quality. Also was good price.

Absolute garbage... The touch buttons barely ever sense what you are trying to press (you get so angry just trying to get it to sense your finger!!) and it's so complicated to just reheat something .. my whole family struggles with this microwave and has requested I just buy a cheap one from K-Mart. Definitely avoid this absolute piece of techno crap.

Bought this last day. The light is soo dim that you cant see what's cooking inside, so easy to spill/burn. I contact the customer care , they mentioned its a feature and light cant be adjusted. They forwarded my call to the sale department to check if I can return the product. That team mentioned "as per checking here on my end if the home appliance's product didn't have damage or sign of being faulty we don't have return process due to our policy." I am stuck with microwave now!

Purchased this microwave due to the function to silence the beeps. Discovered a very easy to use microwave with many features and simple controls. It was almost an exact same size as my previous machine in width, just 2cm wider although it was at least 5cm greater in turntable diameter. Overall very happy with this new microwave purchase and would recommend to others as it was at a very competitive price from Samsung.

I recently bought this microwave and I am incredibly disappointed. As per the dimensions on the website, the microwave fits my hutch although (and despite leaving adequate space on either side), the door swing is quite large and as such, I cannot open the door properly in my hutch. Samsung will not allow me to return or exchange the microwave despite this not being my fault so now I am unfortunately stuck with a microwave I cannot use. I will not be buying from Samsung direct again.

I bought this 40L sleek microwave today . Unpack and setup was easy.. Seems to work well and reheated the food very evenly.Quality looks good but will only tell over time. Front glass is darker than other microwaves, but wasn't a major problem. Would recommend this item.

I bought this a week ago and have used it a handful of times. It seems to heat products well and is not overly noisy. The only issue is the internal light. It’s there, it’s on, it lights up nothing. Discussed with Samsung and they advised that it’s not a malfunction, it’s designed this way. Designed with a light that doesn’t illuminate. Samsung may as well save some money and not bother putting the bulb in there. It’s like having a fan that spins and doesn’t blow air.

I purchased this microwave in may 2025. Don't buy it, the light doesn't light up the inside. Might not seem like a big deal but you can't see if your food is overheating or boiling over the edge of your bowl. Also because you can't see inside you can stop the microwave when your cup is at the front of the turn table. Theres no number pad. It has a start button that adds 30 seconds every time you push it. So if you want to put a cup in amd turn it on for 4 mins you have to hit start 8 times. 10 minutes, you have to push the start button 20 times. Insanity. If you put a cup in the microwave at the front of the turntable and hit the start button once for 30 seconds the cup always ends up in the back left hand corner. Its pretty annoying. I'm sure they could have geared it so that it returns back to the front. Anyways don't buy it. You can do better.

This microwave is fantastic! I absolutely love the spacious 40L interior – it easily fits large plates and even some baking dishes. The glass touch controls are sleek and super easy to use. I got the 40L Microwave with Dial & Button Control - MS40DG5504AT, for my Mum in law who is blind. The one touch button makes it so simple for her to use. Every press of the start button adds 30seconds. The button is easily locate-able so she knows how to operate the microwave even without sight. Love the features of this microwave.

We only use our microwave for basic re-heating and defrosting so I cannot comment on any advanced settings. But this little number is efficient & effective plus it looks so good. Easy clean, simple to use. Purchase and delivery was a walk in the park plus i could use afterpay. So it is all positives from this customer.

A great looking microwave and fits the space well. Good value for money. We’ve only had it a few days. The only complaints so far are that the control panel is not very intuitive, so we’ll have to read the instructions to work out how to set a timer and how to program specific times for cooking.
I recommended this product.

I have purchased this 40L Samsung microwave MS40DG5504ATSA and I live the simplicity and very handy functionality. Very east to operate and other good thing I have found is that there is a non-stick paint on the inside which makes this product so east to clean .

Great size microwave, easy to use with one touch buttons, heats up leftovers well (that’s about all it gets used for). Easy to open and close without needing to stick your fingers all over it, but I wish someone would teach my kids!

Had unit for around a month. It replaced the old Samsung one, same size, we had for years. The push control panel gave up. Miss the push to open function. Old one had less confusing controls. But slowly getting there.

Terrible. Takes so long to reheat food it's ridiculous. Not only is it enormous and takes up so much space it can barely function . Takes us on average 4-5 minutes of reheating for food to be mildly warm.
