On certain Samsung TVs, you are able to use Bixby on the Samsung remote and it's a great little feature. Sometimes though, it may have problems hearing your commands.
When using Far Field voice recognition, activate Bixby by saying, “Hi Bixby”. You will see the Bixby icon pop up at the bottom of your television.
If you speak your command directly after saying “Hi Bixby”, your TV may not understand what you have said. After saying “Hi Bixby”, wait for 2 - 3 seconds and then say your command.
For example:
When the TV is On. |
“Hi Bixby” + wait 2 – 3 seconds + “channel up” |
---|---|
When the TV is Off |
“Hi Bixby” + wait 2 – 3 seconds + ”power on” |
If the Bixby icon still doesn’t appear, ensure that the Far-Field voice recognition hasn’t been deactivated. Also, check that the Bixby Setup has been completely finished. Press the mic button on your remote and follow the steps if you have not successfully completed the Bixby Setup on your TV.
