Use View Inside on Family Hub

Family Hub's View Inside feature is perfect for those times when you're heading home, but don't remember if you have everything you need for dinner... how are we looking on beer? It also helps track the expiration dates on food items in and outside of the refrigerator. You can even use Bixby to assist with your food management.

Food List Management

By using your food list, you can track items inside and even outside of it (Pantry). Enter the items by texting them on your phone or Family Hub. Access View Inside on Family Hub by touching Apps > View Inside > Open.

Set an expiration date so you know when things are starting to go bad. You can also send previously stored items to your shopping list for the next time you go shopping. Just remember that as you remove items physically, they also need to be removed from the food list.

Using Bixby

So you want to manage your food list, but sometimes it's just a hassle. Bixby to the rescue!

Just got home and don't feel like typing your list? "Hey Bixby, add chicken, broccoli, shrimp, and Frank's Redhot to the refrigerator."

Other Bixby Commands

  • "Hey Bixby, find recipes with ingredients that are expiring soon."

  • "Hey Bixby, add expired items from View Inside to Shopping List."

  • "Hey Bixby, do I have (say any food item)"

For a full list of Bixby commands that work with View Inside, open Bixby, touch Help in the top right corner, and then touch View Inside.

On the Go

Anything you can do in View Inside on Family Hub, you can do on the Family Hub Mobile app, and vice versa. Everything gets synchronized with in real time.

This means you can look inside your fridge while you're away, see any memos family members have left, check and update expiration dates, add or remove food, and get recipe ideas.
