What this means is that you will need an Alexa device nearby, such as an Alexa Echo, and then you can control your soundbar using that speaker nearby. To have Alexa built-in to the device, that feature starts on the HW-Q800B Soundbar and higher. Depending on which Samsung TV you are using from 2021, make sure that the TV firmware is fully updated. If the TV has an eARC port, use the provided HDMI cable from eARC to eARC (TV to Soundbar) as this will give you the best audio and user experience. Q-Symphony was updated in 2022 to include usage over Wi-Fi, whereas in 2021 it was only over HDMI and Optical. If you are wanting to take advantage of this feature make sure that you are using an HDMI cable. There are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to help clear up any issues with your subwoofer. First I would do a software update on your soundbar by connecting it to SmartThings. This will make sure that the Soundbar is always on the latest firmware when you set it up with Auto Update. The next step I would take is to manually pair your subwoofer to your soundbar. Turn off the Soundbar. Press and hold ID SET on the rear of the subwoofer and surround speakers for at least 5 seconds. • The red indicator at the rear of each speaker turns off and the blue indicator blinks. Press the Up button on the remote control for 5 seconds. • The ID SET message appears on the display of the Soundbar for a moment, and then it disappears. • The Soundbar will automatically power on when ID SET is complete. Check if the LINK LED is solid blue (connection complete). If you are still experiencing any issues with your soundbar or subwoofer, please know that Samsung is here to help. The SWA-9500S Wireless Rear Speakers are indeed for sale, please follow the link here to purchase these: https://www.samsung.com/us/televisions-home-theater/home-theater/subwoofers-and-speaker-kits/swa-9500s-wireless-rear-speaker-kit-w-dolby-atmos-dts-x-swa-9500s-za/ The SWA-9500S Wireless Rear Speakers are true wireless speakers. They do not need to be wired to anything, only plugged into the wall for power. Not only that but they also have front-firing speakers and top-firing speakers for Dolby Atmos content. They are a 2.0.2 channel system, when paired with the HW-Q700B Soundbar, this will give you an overall 5.1.4 Sound System. Not only can the rear speakers but adjusted, but so can the HW-Q700B Soundbar. Using either the provided Soundbar remote, or SmartThings through your smart device. You can try optimizing audio performance for your specific content by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME PRO, or ADAPTIVE SOUND You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the TONE CONTROL button by pressing the UP/DOWN button on your soundbar remote. Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the level of the subwoofer between -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in. Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “STANDARD”.) Adjusting the 7-band EQ will give you the ability to fine-tune your setup the way you would like it to sound, improving the bass and treble levels to your liking. To control the volume of each speaker, select CENTER LEVEL or TOP LEVEL in Sound Settings, and then adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons. If the SWA-9500S Wireless Rear Speakers are connected, select REAR LEVEL or REAR TOP LEVEL, and then use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range. Keep in mind that the Wi-Fi connection is only available with select Samsung model TVs. For your HDMI connection, make sure that you are using an HDMI CEC cable going from the eARC port of your soundbar to the eARC/TV ARC port of your TV.
