Had this fridge for 5 years. Iced up and needed repairing after 3 years, now the compressor is gone. Samsung support not helpful even with the 10 year warranty on the compressor, hard to get a repairman to attend. Will never buy another Samsung appliance. Read the reviews on other websites, we wish we had of before we bought. Upset that I am taking a 5 year old fridge to the top.

This is completely misleading. Samsung advertised this model with a big headline claiming it has a Non-Plumbed Water in small print at the bottom of the page that the ice maker requires plumbing. This is very disappointing and feels deceptive. After 25 years as a loyal Samsung customer, this experience has really let me down — and unfortunately, it will be the last time I purchase anything from this brand.

I just bought this fridge, it is beautiful and the ideal size that I need. However, thinking about the easy water device on the door, during use, filling a glass for example, it ends up leaking beyond the water outlet (behind the main hose) and this refrigerator was not designed with a dispenser at the bottom of the niche to contain the water that leaks. Now, I need to keep drying the water all the time that I use the easy dispenser. In addition, It is not only on my fridge, the same issue is happening with 3 different friends of mine.

This fridge sometimes doesn't close properly even nothing is blocking it so the beep sounds will be continous and have to turn off until somebody sort it out. If i have achnace i would rather go for single door

Not perfect but no appliance is. Fridge doors only just open wide enough to allow removal of shelves and design of water container means the tray above it needs to be removed. Found the top freezer drawer comes off its rails on occasion and the doors do not close of their own accord that well but otherwise the unit itself is excellent . Arrived with a minor dent to the door and Samsung customer service is a nightmare to deal with

Attention all Samsung customers! I am extremely disappointed with the 495L French Door Refrigerator with Non-Plumbed Water Dispenser - SRF5300BD that I purchased in December 2022. This refrigerator has been nothing but trouble since I bought it. It broke down for the first time in April 2023, defrosting itself all of a sudden, and the temperature was higher than usual. Samsung fixed it by changing the motherboard. However, five weeks later, the same problem occurred again. I requested a refund, but Samsung was reluctant to do so. Instead, they insisted on sending someone to fix it. The case hasn't even been followed up by Samsung staff, and the refrigerator still hasn't been fixed for two weeks. I am extremely disappointed with the poor quality of this product and the terrible customer service I have received from Samsung. I have lost faith in the product and the company, and I feel cheated out of the money that I spent on this refrigerator. I demand that this issue be resolved immediately, and I expect a full refund for the defective product that I purchased. Do not waste your money on Samsung products, especially the 495L French Door Refrigerator with Non-Plumbed Water Dispenser - SRF5300BD. Save yourself the trouble and buy from a different company

Super happy with this refrigerator. Very wide, spacious, french door. Will need to connect to a tap if using the automatic ice maker machine. Love the bottom drawer freezers and sufficient space to keep family of 6 happy. Instant cold water was very convenient. Inside door compartment can easily handle 2 litres of fruit juice, milk, jams. Very roomy and spacious compartments and drawers. This is an excellent choice of a fridge /freezer for a large family. Very happy with this purchase.

I love my Samsung french door fridge however, had some prpblems to begin with. First the fridge was delivered with a dent in the door, the fridge was then replaced however, the cooling would cut out once a day. A Samsung technician then replaced the main board and now it seems to be working fine. I must say that Samsung were extremely quick to address both issues with both being resolved within a week. I have zero complaints about the fridge features and love that you do not need to plumb the fridge to use the watrr dispenser.

Overall solid fridge, operates cold and is relatively quite. French doors for top half means shelves are easy to access / very spacious. Looks great, not an eyesore. I like chilled water. Minor points relates to freezer, firstly it doesnt slide out as far as i would like so it can be hard to place bulky items into the freezer. Also on my unit its possible to improperly slide close the freezer without the magnets fully locking it closed & without triggering open door alarm (ie if closing the freezer door slightly too softly). If its left like this overnight the freezer starts to defrost - part design weakness, part user error. Also be aware that cold water is not plumbed, only the ice maker in the freezer unit is plumbed. Still good value overall and still happy so far.

Okay, so I finally upgraded my old fridge, and let me tell you, the Samsung SRF5300SD is AMAZING! Seriously, I'm in love. First off, the space! I can actually fit everything now, and the French doors make it so easy to grab what I need. No more digging around in the back! The beverage center? Oh my gosh, that's my kids' favorite. The auto-refill water jug is genius, and having cold water on tap is just the best. Plus, the ice maker is cranking out ice like a champ, and I love that I can choose different sizes. And the food? Stays SO fresh! I think it's that Twin Cooling thing they talk about. My veggies are lasting way longer, and nothing smells weird. Plus, it looks super sleek in my kitchen. It's like a fancy upgrade for the whole room. Honestly, I was a little nervous about spending the money, but it's been totally worth it. It's quiet, it's efficient, and it makes my life so much easier. If you're thinking about getting a new fridge, I can't recommend this one enough!

Really love this fridge, the size of it and the adjustable bench. The 3 liter water compartment could be a little bigger. Also if your plumb backing the auto ice maker it pretty much useless and have to load ice the old fashion way. Beside From that can't fault the fridge at all, really is beautiful

The fridge has been exceptionally good, spacious, intuitive controls inside the door. For the most part, very pleased with the product! My reason for a lower rating on the product itself is a lack of what I would consider basics, such as no complementary egg tray included, also the trigger for the water dispenser can be a bit loose feeling/sloppy, resulting in mild dribbles here and there. My greatest concerns has been with the delivery company used by Samsung (ANC) who were rough, and careless with the delivery Also, the after-sales support from Samsung has been awful, I have owned the fridge for 6 months and have yet to receive the included water filter to use the automatic ice dispenser.... In summary: Product - Great Delivery - Rough Sales support - Woeful

Love the look of this fridge freezer and the space it provided. The water dispenser was leaking on the inside but Samsung quickly organised for repairs. Only downside is the maker. It’s just glorified ice cub tray which takes up so much room. It’s not clear in the product description that this is the case and wrongly advertised to make you think it has a built in ice maker. It even says no to ice tray under product description. Whilst I appreciate it’s a non plumbed machine, this info needs to be more clear.

I got this 2 week before and since then we have been very happy with the product. It has great shelf in-depth space and a huge freezer distributed in multiple compartments which helps us segregate our regular and long term stuff. The fridge is also very silent as compared to our last fridge. We are at peace with minimal noise specially at night where our old fridge made a lot of noise when compressor ran. The dimentions are perfecr and it fit exactly within our space which gives a nea and clean view.

Bought the fridge a couple of weeks ago finally got it delivered today despite living centrally on the Gold Coast and next day delivery “available”. Love the trade in option how they collect the old fridge. I thought part of the service would be to unload the new fridge from its box and install it given it needs plumbing for the ice to work..: the delivery guy just laughed at me and said no that wasn’t part of the package. Thought the manual was a little short - there is a container top round thing taped to the bottom of the water tank, absolutely not idea what that’s for and couldn’t find any info anywhere. Nonetheless it’s a beautiful looking fridge with lots of space. Seems to scratch super easy. A bit awkward at times to remove the shelving, and when I did… scratched the paint.

We have had nothing but trouble with these refrigerators. The evaporator keeps freezing up which stops the fan from working. Then the drain blocks up leaks water into the fridge. The original fridge was replaced under warranty now the new one does the same

Just two weeks old, we upgraded our 10 year old Samsung fridge and the new one fitted exactly into the existing space in our fitted kitchen. All the same great features and the sleekly smoke finish and no external handles. Looks fantastic, great value!

I brought this fridge 2 weeks ago. The first one I got was defective went in store and got a replacement the very next day. Ice machine is amazing 👏 and so much room in the fridge freezer could be bigger but I'm so happy overall

This Fridge ticked all of our boxes, it was affordable, had a plumbed ice maker and was large enough for our family without having any “fancy” redundancies such as an app or a computerised interface. It is fairly compact for its size, the shelves are all good quality. You can easily fit 3L milk bottles in the door! My vegetables have lasted so much longer than our old fridge (we’ll definitely be saving money). The pull out drawers in the freezer work really well and the ice maker is awesome.

Hard to select a suitable fridge on the internet during lockdown, but narrowed it down to those that fit in the space I had. Glad I picked this Samusung French Door model. Fits and looks great. No regrets. Shilled water is great. Note that the option for filtered water and ice is if it's plumbed which I can't do. Appliances Online service and delivery were fantastic. Communication was great. I'm in a first floor apartment and they delviered it and took the packaging away. Recommended.

Just the right size to fit the smaller alcoves that they have in newer houses today. I had to keep my old fridge in the garage because it was too big to fit in the alcove.

Fridge Freezer wasn't fit for purpose. On the Samsung listing it shows an "automatic ice maker". I was delivered a twist manual ice maker. It's being returned as this is one of the key features we wanted. Being loyal Samsung fans, it's a shame they let us down on this occasion. Please update your website to remove the automatic ice maker functionality. It also shows up when you filter listings down to "ice dispenser" in your websites search.

Faulty Ice Maker , I bought one I was happy first 6 Months , I recommended to the Family and 2 of my cousins bought 2 similar fridges then we start having problems with the ice maker, my cousins fridges they replaced the ice makers because they manufactured fault but they refused to change mine after long following up , very disappointed and because of that I don’t recommend buying Samsung and I will Not Buy anything Samsung any more !!

We had been looking for a new fridge freezer to fit in a slot in our kitchen cupboards , this is one of a few that would fit , the style of fridge at the top and drawers for the freezer at the bottom was very impressive ,. the layout of the fridge is well set out with a water cooler in the door is just what we wanted. our old fridge freezer was also a Samsung which lasted over 12years which is one reason we opted for another Samsung .

Great fridge! Super spacious. Fits lots of food in the fridge and freezer section. Didn’t realise how much water we go thru as we are always refilling the tank, next time I think I’ll get a plumbed water dispenser. We don’t have the ice maker currently plumbed so we can fit extra in the freezer, however once that happens we will definitely lose some freezer space, kind of wish we should remove it. Otherwise. Great fridge so far!

Love the fridge, and loved the service. The re-fillable water jug is great, though a little tricky to pull out of the door, so we just fill it from a jug while still in the door. Also, the left door has a little part that ducks behind the right door, if you don't shut the left door with some oomph it has a tendency to stay ajar. definitely trouble for guests who don't understand how it works. other than that, highly recommend.

This is 2nd one same or similar model. First one came with some issues that Samsung immediately rectified. After 10 years it needed replacement and we went with same make and model as it fits our kitchen the best. Ice maker is excellent and fridge is very quiet and that’s very important for me. Nice sleek looking fridge that matches the rest of the kitchen. More than happy with the installation and delivery.

I bought this a week ago as I saw it as a value for money for double door fridge. Another reason I purchased is that this fridge is not quite as tall as most other double door fridges. All fuctions work as described. The only design concern I have is that you need to open via the top or bottom of the doors as it does have handles on the face of the door. I got used to this quickly though.

I have purchased multiple items from appliances online and their service is absolutely fantastic. Quick responses to emails and always happy to help. The fridge was at a great price point. I love that it's spacious. We didn't plumb it so not using the ice maker gives us even more freezer space. The water tank was a little difficult to set up but got there in the end. We are really enjoying it.

This fridge is a pretty dumb design. The after dispenser is not plumbed which is great if you want to avoid running plumbing, but the ise maker is plumbed. So you are running plumbing anyway, but then you still have to fill the water tank manually. Clearly a result of cost-cutting design. If I'd known I would have bought a different model either fully plumbed or fully unplumbed.

Great Fridge as our previous fridge was a Samsung too It broke down on the 5th day after we bought from winning appliances in Chadstone served by a outstanding sales staff. I won't want to lose her a sales staff. Called appliances online which the staff will very helpful to solve my problem. Fridge was fixed within the next 2 days. Can't doubt with a beautiful Samsung fridge.

Received this fridge 3 days ago, feedback is based on initial impressions: - Silver colour looks beautiful, fits in well with rest of the woodwork - Plenty of storage (yet to make use of all of it though :)) - Was easy to unpack it myself, had to ask for help from someone else to remove the bottom foam (thought the delivery people would do unpacking, but they didn't) - For some weird reason, the right side door is slightly higher than the left side, might have been missed out in the Samsung Quality control process. Kind of embarrassing to have a fridge like this, hopefully it doesn't affect the capacity to hold items in the pockets inside but we will see. - Was a big journey to get this fridge, wish Samsung customer team had called me to tell me the colour I ordered was out of stock earlier instead of waiting for 2 weeks to then order the other colour. - Cooling is quite effective, and it's a quiet fridge

I bought this fridge in the past month. It looks great but is somewhat difficult to use. I wish I had bought one with handles. The face of the fridge fingerprints because of the way you have to open it. Also, the fridge ices and I’m not sure why. Also, Samsung says if you sign up to receive emails you will get $50 off. I never got the $50 off, but I get the Samsung emails.

I have received my new fridge, which according to the website, is non plumbed. Then I find d out that is only for the water dispenser, not the icemaker. It doesn't even come with an ice tray so it can be filled manually. Disappointing.

Really dumb design - the water dispenser is a pain to remove with the shelf above - it should be the other way round that way the pressure would increase and filling would be simple. Stood here with glass and plastic everywhere as removing the tank can be difficult. The freezer compartment is massive, with no capacity, go figure.

Purchased an american style fridge for the first time and i am so happy with this purchase. It is so spacious, the fridge and the freezer drawers. Very happy with the purchase. Brought this a few weeks ago, so far it runs very quiet and holds temperature well. Compared to older model of similar size it has far more storage capacity. It looks sleek and has a practical layout. Only negative is the doors are a bit stiff when opening and closing, Overall, a great purchase and value for money.

i brought this produce three weeks ago. delivery was punctual and well communicated. product is mazing but it was purchased as a non plumbed water dispensing fridge but it has a plumbed icemaker which is strange. it is a lovely unit with an amazing amount of space that allows for a large ammount of food storage

non plumbed water dispenser is great (never had one before) and plumbed ice maker (haven't used yet as still waiting for the plumber) but the fridge is great and straight forward and easy to use. it is easy (digital) to set the temps for the fridge and freezer and turn ice maker off and on. would recommend.

Received the refrigerator with door not aligned. I have pay for installation. Not able to open the fridge door. On the phone for hours with Samsung support team. Still waiting for Samsung to organize someone to come to my house and fix the door. Furthermore, have not received the points on the Samsung app.

Have to close doors carefully if not risk to leave it open. Very inconvenient… looks huge but there’s not enough space to storage meats or fruits & vegetables. Is impossible to fit leafy or medium size greens such as celery or a decent amount of veggies for a week of consumption; drawers way to small.

It’s a beautiful fridge. Very spacious. The water cooler does not require plumbing which is great, you just refill it. The ice maker does require plumbing which is a bit of a disappointment as I misread that. However when it is hooked up, it has the capacity to make continuous ice. I love this fridge.

Great experience with this fridge so far however one thing to note is that the doors don’t fall closed. So if you don’t make a point of closing the fridge the doors stay open. There is fortunately an alert so most of the time this isn’t an issue but can be annoying (especially if you have young kids)

Bought this just this week and the fridge was bigger than I thought, the pictures to me don't do it justice. Found the fridge area roomy and the freezer compartments were good size as well, the cold water dispenser is fine for us, fit 2 jugs of water easily. I'm very happy with my purchase..Thanks

Got this fridge a month ago. It’s not too bad. Bit smaller than I expected. But it has non plumbed water but plumbed ice which is cool because we don’t really need the water. The freezer drawer is small and means you throw everything on top of each other. So I don’t love that.

Great fridge and easy to use we have always had Samsung products and our previous Samsung fridge lasted more than 10 years so hopefully this one will do as well. Love the ice making for cold summer drinks and we drink more water with the water dispenser at the front.

Replaces a similar Samsung fridge with this on. Build quality seems fine. but a little less robust. Selected this fridge as it was the same dimensions as our old one. Only to find the door swing required a wider width which was a little bit of a hassle.

Unfortunately the fridge broke down after 2 weeks of normal use. We are awaiting a technician. It is unfortunate as the fridge is awesome, perfect size and good in so many ways. But breaking after 2 weeks is pretty ridiculous. I hope they fix it!

Misleading advertising, this fridge does not have an automatic ice maker. It’s a glorified Ice tray that takes up a lot of the freezer compartment. The fridge itself is a good footprint for the capacity but let down by Samsung Marketing,

Bought this 8 months ago, heaps of space, hold temp really well. The lighting inside is nice and bright. Water cooler is a really nice feature to have. Haven't had a chance to try the ice maker, will have it plumbed in at the new house.

Great fridge but I think it would be better with more shelf grooves to be able to adjust heights of shelves and disappointed that cant use ice maker manually...needs to be plumbed in for use. Good size freezer and water container.

I bought this fridge to replace previous model as it was 14 years old and icing up. Fridge is a bit smaller but no handles makes it easier for us to slide into kitchen instead of lifting it over the bench so that's a big plus

I love the double door fridge at eye height giving great access. Slightly annoying doors have to open from top or bottom only. Want to plumb in water but ot sure if this is possible.(Plumber coming) very happy so far.

Great fridge , has lots of space. Only downside is it only fits big drink bottles on the door only leaving room for 4 drinks. You can’t move the shelves up high enough to fit for bigger drinks like milk and juice .

Reason I purchased this was "Non-Plumbed Built-in Water Dispenser" feature. but Ice maker needs to be plumbed, this isn't clear so just be aware! Water dispenser does not need to be plumbed. Otherwise it's great

For the most part this is a great fridge however the left hand door houses the water reservoir and to fill it you have to remove the top basket which is positioned directly on top of it, just a little annoying.

The fridge itself is ok. Tge shelves are not adjustable but it works for us. The icemaker is awesome but it is noisy when dumping the ice and took a little while to get used to the noise in the small hours if the morning! It is plumbed but the water dispenser is not. We knew this at the time of purchase but now we that we have it, it kind if makes less sense. The water dispenser itself is not easy to prevent water dripping after your cup is filled and removed and wiping down the door is a usual trade-off fir using it. The doors do not self close like a single door fridge is designed to do but this is likely to apply to all French door types. We like the fridge though. It looks smart and it suitable for a couple, or small family. It will do until we can buy a bigger one. It's a great fridge for the money in the meantime. Appliances online though... we could not fault at all. Great communication. Free delivery and removal of our old fridge was a massive plus, and the price was the best we found. The delivery guys were professional and careful and communicated eta well so we could plan our day.
