Getting Creative with the Gallery app on my Samsung Phone

If you're looking to get a bit more creative with your photos and videos you can create mini movies, GIFs and Collages to post on your friends timeline for they're birthdays. Please Note: This guide was designed for Australian variant Galaxy devices, if you have an international device and require further support click here to get in touch with your Samsung subsidiary. Screenshots were captured from a Galaxy S20+ operating on Android OS Version 10.0 (Q), settings and steps may vary depending on your Galaxy device and software version.

Create a Movie
1 Head into the Gallery app icon Gallery app
2 Long press on a video or photo to select amd choose the files you would like to add to your movie, then tap on create movie icon
3 Choose between Highlight reel or Self-edited
4 You can then begin editing your movie, you can adjust the video sound, add extra clips to your video and even add text to create an introduction.

    View and re-arrange your clips, customise your transition clips and add extra clips to extend your movie.

    You can name your movie, by adding a title and brief description that will be shown in the beginning of your video.

    Adjust your audio to either completely remove the video sound or have some soft music playing in the background. You will be able to choose from a list of pre-loaded tunes or add in a song saved on your smartphone's internal memory.

5 Tap on ratio icon to change the video ratio. Once you have finished editing your video select Save.
6 Once the video has been you will be able to view and play directly from the Gallery app.
Create a GIF
1 Long press a photo to select then choose a range of photos to add to your GIF. Once you have finished selecting images, tap on three dots icon
2 Select Create GIF
3 Select the images to add into your GIF then tap on Create GIF
4 Select the editing options below your gif then tap Save to apply the changes

    Allows you to Add and remove different images within your GIF. You can also swap and change the order of each picture by long pressing and dragging the image

    Let's you change the picture ratio from 1:1, 4:3, 16:9 or 9:16

    Allows you to speed up or slow down the GIF starting from 1-15

    Can change the layout direction to reverse or loop your GIF

    Allows you to add Stickers, Text and Draw on your GIF

Create a Collage
1 Tap on three dots icon
2 Select Create GIF
3 Select 6 photos you would like to add to your collage, then tap on Create Collage
4 Choose your preferred Collage Layout

  You can add extra images to your collage. You can only have a maximum of 6 images in your collage.

  Change the picture ratio from 1:1 or 9:16.

  Customise the border of your collage - you can adjust the roundness and margin.

5 Select your preferred Grid, swap and change the photo layout by long pressing the image and dragging into a different box. Once complete tap Save

  Replace the selected photo with another photo from your Gallery.

   Removes the image from the collage.

   Edit the selected photo within your Gallery - you can re-crop, add filters, texts and emojis to the image.

Drawing on Photos
1 Select the photo you would like to draw on
2 Tap on Edit icon > draw icon
3 Using your finger or S Pen start drawing on your photo, once complete tap on Save
4 Once saved you will be able to view in your Gallery
Enabling Go to Websites
1 Tap on 3 dots > Settings
2 Toggle on Go to websites
3 Once you have captured a screenshot of a website, locate and select the image within your Gallery then tap on Go to Websites
4 So long as you are connected to either a Wi-Fi or Mobile data connection, you will be able to load the website on your default internet browsing app.
