Sharing a Wi-Fi Profile Using QR Code

Setting up a Wi-Fi profile on your device can be quite the hassle with having to find the correct Network and then the security key. By using a device that is already connected to Wi-Fi and the camera app on your phone or QR scanner, you will be connected in no time at all. Just follow the steps below.

Please Note: This guide is designed for Australian variant Galaxy devices, if you have an international device and require further support click here to get in touch with your Samsung subsidiary. Screenshots were captured from a Galaxy S20+ operating on Android OS Version 10.0 (Q), settings and steps may vary depending on your Galaxy device and software version.

Prior to following the below guide ensure that your Galaxy device is connected to a Wi-Fi network and is operating on Software Version 9 (Pie) or above. 1 Head into your Settings > Connections
Settings > Connections
2 Select Wi-Fi
Tap on Wi-Fi
3 Tap on setings cogwheel beside your connected Wi-Fi network
Tap on Settings cogwheel beside connected wi-fi network
4 Select QR Code
Select QR Cide
5 A QR Code will be generated on your Galaxy device for other mobiles to scan to easily connect to your Wi-Fi network

Please note: The QR code will only available if your networks security type is WPA/WPA PSK or WEP.
