UE or DC error

The UE or DC error code indicates that the laundry load is unbalanced. UE error code refers to newer models and the DC refers to slightly earlier models, however, they interchangeably mean the same.

Note: The provided information refers to appliances sold in Canada. The available settings and options may differ for devices sold in other countries.


Please follow the troubleshooting steps to prevent the issue from happening:

1 Do not overload the washing machine otherwise your laundry may not wash properly or stop the spin and display an error code.

2 As the error occurs due to an unbalanced load, remove some laundry and redistribute the items inside the washer. Then, press the START/PAUSE button to clear the UE or DC error.

3 It is very important to use the proper cycle. If you are washing bedding items (such as blankets, comforters, etc.) use the Bedding cycle to ensure optimal performance. If you are washing water proof materials, select the Waterproof cycle if available (WA7000 or WA9000).
4 Check if the washing machine is levelled correctly. Most washing machines have 2 front adjustable levelling legs (others have all 4 adjustable legs) with a locknut. Turn each adjustable leg until the washing machine is sitting flat on the ground and tighten the locknut against the body of the machine to avoid the legs to become loose.

UE error on WA3000

Because the WA3000 washing machine does not have a digital display, no error codes will be displayed.

Error messages appear as blinking lights on the Settings panel. The "Hot" and "Warm" lights blinking means there is a UE (DC) error.
