Languages

Do you speak several languages? That’s awesome! Why not set up your phone to recognize and type multiple languages? Your Note8 recognizes and translates dozens of languages. Discover how to meet your new multilingual friend below.

Note: Screens and settings available may vary depending on your Canadian wireless service provider and your software version.

Add and Remove Languages

Note: Want to play a game made in another country, but your language isn’t supported? No trouble at all. Just add that language to the list! Most of the time, screens and apps will use your default language. If the default language is not supported in an app, the next supported language on the list will be used. It’s no sweat.

1. From the Home screen, swipe up or down to access the Apps screen.

2. Touch Settings.

3. Scroll to and touch General management.

4. Touch Language and input.

5. Touch Language.

6. To add a language, touch Add language.

7. Select the desired language.

Note: To view more languages, touch More Options > All languages.

8. If prompted, touch SET AS DEFAULT to set the new language as the default language for your device.

9. To remove a language, touch EDIT (or DELETE) on the top right.

10. Touch the language you want to remove and then touch DELETE.
