AVOID this model at all costs. The same has happened to ours just like everyone else’s after 18 months! Dirty line in the middle of the screen, then the on off occurs. Now won’t turn on at all! The fact they know there is a problem you would think they would have some kind of compensation scene, or repair scene going. No not Samsung, just got offered 15% discount off a new TV! No doubt an auto generated reply to this review as well.

Similar to other people - the TV started glitching out and rebooting after about half a year. It has been taken away by a repair service to be sorted out under warranty, but seeing the other people having the same problem - I am now sceptical about overall longevity of a product. Even if repair is carried out to a good standard, there is no guarantee that the TV does not start glitching out again after a few months of use. It is certainly disappointing for someone who wanted to get more into Samsung Ecosystem.

[Ezt az értékelést promóció részeként kaptuk.] Egy évre pontosan meg döglött a képernyő. Utána olvastam a többi országban lévő véleményeket és rá jöttem hogy egy sorozat hibás modellt vettem. Ugyanaz a hiba nagyon sok készülékkel. Most várok két hete már az alkatrész érkezési dátumra. Remélem javítottak a hibás darabon. Vagy egy év után majd mehet a szemétbe.

The good...this set looks outstanding! first time switching it on was one of those moments of wonder, the clarity, the colours all just make your pupils dilate and it makes you want to watch everything you ever loved over again. The interface is snappy and fairly intuitive. Now the bad. 8K is not really worth the upgrade in my opinion. I'm sat 3m away from a 65inch screen which is doing its best to upscale 4k transmission but sadly it seems the processor isn't up tot he job when it comes to panning shots. Watching streamed content at first I thought it was a slow internet connection, but it wasn't choppy like when you get buffering, more like a smooth 'jumpyness' to panning shots that once you see it would drive you up the wall. This is where (for me at least) the bottom of the range 8K tv from Samsung fails. Unfortunately my set also had a white spot in the bottom left corner so I opened a ticket and eventually sent the TV back. I've ordered the QN95A to replace it as that has the best mid range processor and my eyes won't be able to tell the difference, plus the screen will be brighter and have less reflections, which the QN700A does suffer from being shiny. Overall if you gave it more time and tried different sources this might be a good TV but for me it ultimately had to go back. If I didn't have the white spot I probably would have kept it and tried to turn off the upscaling to see if it made a difference, but it didn't get the chance sadly. Beautiful looking TV with thin bezels and crisp picture but motion wasn't quite there.

Can't fault the picture... beautiful 4K and UHD. But the sound has some issues. Turn up the volume too loud, or add too much bass, and the speakers give out distortion and vibrate irritatingly... and suggested fixes online...? Turn the volume and bass down!! Why have speakers in the device that then can't handle the volume range or bass settings beyond a certain point. All fine with an external speaker, but very disappointing for a high end high price TV to not have top level sound capability

Haven't yet fully explored all the features of this amazing TV but what I have used so far, I love it! The TV came in great packaging that if you reassemble, you can use to support it standing up while you attach the stand etc. Couldn't help but be super nervous as the stand just doesn't look like it can support a TV so big, but it does the job. Surprisingly light also for its size. Just upgraded from the Samsung 65" curved LED TV and that took 3 people to lift and secure on its stand. This TV, can attach the stand solo by utilising the packaging and takes just 2 to lift it in place. The central AV control box is perfect for my requirements also. Has more HDMIs (4 in total) than my older Samsung model, as well as all the other connections needed to run a new smart TV. As I turned on my various items for the first time, it immediately recognised them and set them up accordingly. Sky box, games console etc. Love the Smart Things app also that lets you control everything from your phone. Picture quality is simply unreal IMHO. If watching older TV shows, it does show up the picture quality defects however. But if watching a modern show, whether streaming, through TV channel or DVD/Blu-ray/4K, the picture is stunning. The 1 billion colours really do show and everything seems so bright yet appropriate in contrast. Blackest black is excellent and if switching to games console, the picture auto adjusts to a digital setting. My photo I uploaded is the first thing I tried, a Doctor Who Blu-ray that looked simply divine on a screen this size! All in all, I think this is my best TV purchase ever!

Purchased this telly after seeing as a great upgrade and finally decided to embrace 8k. I trusted samsung as a brand hence took the plunge to spent money on this telly. Qn700 is an entry level  8k oled tv (best of both world-8k and oled at the same time). But it didnt meet my expectations. Specs are not fully detailed on the website..... ie it says hdmi earc but not really mentioned what version. It has 4 hdmi connections but only 1 is hdmi 2.1 which the earc port. This idnt really help in terms of using my latest gaming console and so as its only 60hz refresh rate. And also changing from one input to another takes quite awhile to load compared to my 2019 4k telly. The quantum processor lite is a bite slow in terms of processing image to upscale to 8k but when it does the image is right up there and cant compare to anything else....clear, stunning and well balance image. This processor has an effect on processing i think in high squence and fast moving images....though it has picture clarity settings wherein  judder settings can be adjusted. I can still see images gets pixelated specially when picture settings is set to dynamic. What dissapoint me as well is having a samsung dolby atmos soundbar and yet cant use the dolby atmos capability of my tv as the soundbar is 2016 model. Which i wouldve expect samsung wouldve told or specify on there websites. At the end.....i returned this model but as i mentioned before, i trust samsung so i bought the 75" qn800 but after finding its full specification else where rather than in the samsung website. As a feedback, samsung should be more detailed on the tellys specifications on their website which would really help consumers in their purchase decision and avoid returns. Design is georgous, youll feel and see luxury on it. The one connect box keeps everything nice and tidy, the idea of havingg it on the stand is perfect. The universal remote ..works like a charm. So if you want to be in the 8k badnwagon and the entry level specs doesnt bother you...then the qn700 is for you.
