3 tips to make your
home a safe home

Track home security from your favorite devices with SmartThings.

A big job is much easier when everyone works together. And what job is more important than keeping your home safe? Connecting your Samsung devices with the SmartThings app gives you tons of home security solutions that can make everyday life more convenient. To get you started, we have three easy tips to help you transform your home into a smarter, more secure space for your whole family.

Set up SmartThings on your Smart TV
The SmartThings app on 2021-present Samsung TVs allows you to discover, connect, view and control your smart devices right from your TV screen.
1

Keep an eye on your yard from your TV

It’s Friday and that means movie night with the family. You’re just settling in and passing the popcorn when suddenly you get an on-screen alert from SmartThings¹ that there’s movement in the front yard. You quickly check the feed from the SmartThings Cam² on your Samsung Neo QLED TV or The Frame TV. No worries, it’s just the neighbor's new puppy. Looks like he got out again, and they’re bringing the little guy home. Now you’ve got peace of mind, and it’s back to movie night in no time.

Family Hub™ is more than just a refrigerator
Monitor multiple rooms with Arlo, use voice control with Alexa, adjust your smart thermostat, get appliance notifications and more⁵ with the Family Hub™ Refrigerator.
2

Check the front door from your TV or fridge

Consider these two scenarios. An unexpected late-night visitor arrives while you’re watching your favorite crime show. Don’t get spooked. See who’s at the door without leaving the couch when you pair a Ring Doorbell³ with your Samsung Neo QLED 4K Smart TV. Phew. It’s just a surprise drop-in from a friend who happened to be in the neighborhood. Now you don’t have to watch your show alone.

Next imagine it’s Taco Tuesday. You’re hosting the whole family and are in full-on prep mode. As you’re looking over a new recipe for spicy jalapeño margaritas and controlling your playlist from your Family Hub™ Refrigerator⁴ the doorbell rings. You can see, hear and speak to anyone at your door on the fridge touchscreen. Confirm it's your guests using Ring paired with the Family Hub™ Refrigerator, then invite them in.

3

Monitor every room from anywhere

When it comes to your kids, keeping them safe is your top priority. With the SmartThings app, it’s easy to connect an indoor camera so you can use your Galaxy device to keep track of what’s going on in every room. Check in on their playtime and swoop in whenever needed.

These simple tips can spark more ideas for how you can start creating a safer smart home for the whole family. With SmartThings, connect your devices and keep an eye on your home security from any room.
