How does sharing appliance / product information help me receive potential offers for savings on homeowners insurance?By sharing product information from your SmartThings-compatible Samsung appliances, participating insurance providers can gain insights into the product type and operational status of your home.

What kind of data will be shared?The data shared focuses on identifying eligible products to participate in this service. This includes information such as model number, device serial number, price, connection status, and production date. It also includes SmartThings account number (scrambled, country code, and zip code which is entered by you.
Full details will be available to users as they go through the eligibility process in SmartThings under SmartThings – Life (bottom tab) – Home Care – Smart Home Savings. -
Is there a cost to participate in this service?There is no direct cost to participate. If you decide to participate in any customized offer, the applicable rates and other terms and conditions of that offer are set by the participating insurance provider.

What if I don't have an eligible appliance? Can I still participate?Participation depends on having at least one eligible SmartThings-compatible Samsung appliance. Currently, the eligible appliances are certain SmartThings-compatible Samsung refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges and over the range microwaves manufactured starting in 2020.
To check the eligibility of your connected devices, open the SmartThings app and click SmartThings – Life at the bottom of the app, then locate Home Care – Smart Home Savings. -
