What Is TV Plus?

TV Plus is a digital entertainment service that varies based on your TV model. If you have a 2019 or 2018 Samsung TV, TV Plus offers free live streaming TV content. Choose from a variety of channels offering content for all interests.

And, if you have a 2016 or 2017 TV, TV Plus is your one-stop shop to rent and purchase many of the latest hit movies and TV shows, as well as some classic favorites.

Use TV Plus on Your TV

TV Plus doesn't just offer endless free TV channels; it lets you pick and choose what content you want to see. Using your TV remote, navigate to TV Plus and hover over the app. Then, select Guide to see a program guide, or Channel List to view all channels, Edit Channels, and add certain channels to your Favorites.

Edit or Remove Channels on TV Plus (2016-2019)

To remove TV Plus from your TV's Home screen, use your remote to navigate to TV Plus, select the down arrow, and then select Remove > Remove. To add it back, select Source > Add to Home.

On 2018 models, the TV Plus app is removed once all channels are removed.

You can find everything you want to watch on TV Plus - enjoy the large selection of free shows and movies. Follow the steps to edit the channels you see in TV Plus.

Press Home on the TV remote, and then navigate to TV Plus. Hover over TV Plus until Channel List appears above. Select Channel List, and then select Edit Channel in the top right corner.

Within the Edit Channels screen, select channels to mark them with a check, and then select Delete to remove the channels from your TV Plus Channel list. If you choose Select All, all TV Plus channels are removed. On 2018 models, the TV Plus app is removed once all channels are removed. To restore the app, perform a Smart Hub reset.

Note: If you want to add a deleted channel back onto your list, select it within the Edit Channels screen, and then select Restore.

Make a Purchase on TV Plus (2016-2017 Only)

Ready to order a movie? Here's what you'll need:

  • A Samsung account: A Samsung account is required to use TV Plus. You should sign into your Samsung account on the TV before using TV Plus. Learn more about creating a Samsung account.

  • Fandango account: You will be prompted to sign into an existing Fandango VIP account or create one when you make your first purchase.

  • A credit card or PayPal account: The credit card can be added when making a purchase on TV Plus. You can also use a PayPal account.

To rent or purchase a video from TV Plus, follow these steps:

Press Home on the TV remote, and then navigate to and select TV Plus. For your convenience, the library of shows and movies has been sorted into various categories. Browse through the available titles and select one to view more information.

Note: You can search for specific titles by selecting Search at top right.

When you select a program, you can view the synopsis, ratings, and cast, as well as watch the trailer. To continue, select Buy or Rent. You'll be prompted to sign into your FandangoNOW account.

Review your order, and select Checkout to complete the transaction. The show or movie will be added to your TV Plus library.
