How to keep your phone clean in
two easy steps

Wondering how to clean your phone screen? Read on for tips that will help you
reduce germs on your favorite device.

You may be wondering, Can I wash my phone? The question is a good one. Phones are essential devices that we touch at least 50 times a day. We take them everywhere we go and use them for endless purposes, whether we are working from home or out running errands. This leaves them exposed to dirt and germs—most of which aren’t even visible to the naked eye. Here are a few tips that explain how to safely wash
your phone.

1

Wipe it

Bacteria and germs can easily breed on the surface of your mobile device. Use a microfiber cloth with an alcohol-based cleaner or disinfectant wipes to carefully clean your phone throughout the day. It’s preferable to keep cleaning supplies in multiple locations (like your car or backpack) so you can refresh your mobile while on the go.

Make sure you unplug your phone while cleaning it. Also, never wash your phone with materials such as water, soap, vinegar or detergent. Don’t forget to clean your phone case, too.

2

Leave it

For most of us, having our phone on hand is almost second nature. For this reason, our device might end up in unsanitary places such as bathrooms, where it can collect harmful microbes and bacteria. These dangerous pathogens can easily transfer from your phone to your hands and face, causing potential harm to your health. We recommend leaving your phone in your pocket, away from public surfaces and only using it after you wash your hands with soap and water.
