Cook food precisely

Auto Cook

Cook delicious dishes without guesswork. Auto Cook has a choice of options for 15 frequently cooked dishes, like poultry, pasta, fish and vegetables. Each is pre-programmed with the appropriate mode, time and temperature. Simply select the type and weight of food and follow the instructions*.

Less standby energy

ECO Mode

Home appliances that stay powered on every day waste a certain amount of power without you noticing. However, the Standby Mode can reduce this unnecessary energy consumption*. When you are not cooking, it turns off the microwave oven’s display and uses the minimum power to keep it ready to use.

* Based on internal testing of the MW5500 model in Standby Mode. Test method: Input power = 230V. Stabilize it in the indoor conditions and measure the power consumption for 30 minutes to calculate the 1st average power consumption in Standby Mode. After 30 minutes, use the same procedure and calculate the 2nd average power consumption in Standby Mode. Determine the final power consumption by calculating the average of the 1st and 2nd measured values. Test result: Normal mode = 0.60W (variable). Standby Mode = 0.35W.

Brand new Samsung 32L microwave and the defrost function does not work?!? How Samsung manages to get this wrong straight out the box really baffles me?? As a loyal Samsung customer who has several high end products, their brand credibility is something I have been questioning for years and this incident reinforces the fact that Samsung have grown too big and too fast to sustain the standards and quality controls needed. I had a similar experience with a brand new Samsung dishwasher and mobile phone a few years ago.

It's great to know that you're a long-term Samsung user, but we're saddened to hear that you have experienced some issues with your microwave's Defrost feature, along with similar experiences with other products in the past. This isn't what we'd expect to hear, and we'd love to help. We want to make sure that every feature works as it should. We'd initially recommend resetting your microwave by unplugging it from the wall socket and waiting for five minutes before plugging it back in. Ensure the time is set on your microwave, and that at least 10cm of space is behind and to both sides of the microwave. Select the Defrost function and enter the weight. Don't buy this model, it is rubbish and a waste of money: most of the programmable functions are useless. The defrost function is particularly ineffective. The instructions are incorrect. It is less powerful than my inexpensive 800 and 700 microwaves. I suggest that you download and read the full online instructions before buying - you will see what I mean.

Bought this a year ago but not taken out of the box until this week as it was part of planning for a home move. If I could give no stars or less I would as its no better than the plastic ones in IKEA. Clock, unprogrammable Microwave doesn't allow for setting time so doesn't function Pre set programs do not work In fact the only things that do work are the child lock, the beeps and the pretty light when you open the door. Unfortunately I did not buy it for the pretty light or the nice look. I bought it to microwave food which it does not. And after spending hours going through the manuals, downloads etc. There is nothing that helps in there. Waste of time, waste of money and a huge knock in my previous confidence in samsung items. Absolutely useless

Awful experience. Out of the box, it was not possible even to set the clock let alone use any of the microwave features. The item appeared to have been put together incorrectly (does not sit on a flat surface correctly), and appears to engage the magnetron only when pressure is placed on the door when attempting to open it. In addition to the dissapointment of being sent an unserviceable item after waiting for the DPD delivery for a number of days, I am now into my fourth hour of Customer Services calls attempting to get a replacement (being told that this will take another 10 days) which (Samsung are pressing) should only happen after a video call (but their software is not working) and an engineer visit... Save yourself a lot of wasted time and simply purchase another unit / use another supplier. I'm pressing for collection and refund.
