I do love this phone, but there are some issues. •When switching to 50MP in the camera, the zoom and flash are blocked. •When downloading apps, they don't go to the home page but instead to a menu you have to swipe up to access. •When mobile data is on and I'm connected to a WiFi source, it uses data. It should only use WiFi in this scenario. However, there is a lot I love about this phone. •Firstly, the performance. It powers on quickly and apps open very fast. •The display is responsive and high quality. •The battery lasts quite a long time, in my case usually the whole day. •The pictures are high quality, especially when using the 50MP setting.

Getting on well with my new phone for someone who is not very tech savi. Not had a Samsung before but managed to follow set up instructions and transfer my data from old phone. Easy to use. Great memory 256GB and quick speeds with 8RAM, relative advised I get 8RAM minimum to get 5G and it is certainly much quicker than my old one which only had 4RAM. Nice weight to hold even with a case round it which I like as it stops it getting scratched in my handbag and good sized screen. The AI works really well when you want information Got a good price and great deal with super fast charger thrown in and smart watch for free.

I am very pleased with my new purchase. It's performance has much improved so it actually feels like a newer and upgraded fone. The camera is much easier to use and I love the way the display looks on the homescreen. The date display area is much easier to view. The new super-fast charger works well and charges the battery much faster, for real!!! My connectivity seems fine and I have had no issues with drop-calls or going out of range, thus far. Altogether a very good upgrade. Thank you!

Love this phone. It's easy to use and the Samsung switch transfers everything easily from old phone to new. The battery charges quickly and lasts a good time for what I do, I like the battery saver option. The screen is a decent size and the eye comfort shield protects my eyes from glare. The camera works great for photos and it scans qr codes easily. It performs well, enabling me to use apps, call, message and email with ease. I chose this as it's not too complicated to work and the Samsung internet browser rids me of ads completely. It has fingerprint recognition which rarely fails so feels secure.

After updating the phone, I had a moisture in charger port message. Phoned up samsung, they did all they could message would not go away. I then got told I had to take my phone for repair miles away, I phoned the number given several times, I either got cut off or no one answered. The message has now disappeared for how long I don't know!! After this phone dies I will never buy a samsung phone again cause amazingly after the same update my old phone had moisture in the port too .. hence me buying this phone ! Always brought samsung, time to go else where as this happened twice.

Love the performance there are so many ways in which you can find your apps. I'd like a ultimate case to protect my screen from prying eyes but I suppose as the phone was just launched in March 2025 that model has been produced yet? WiFi connection bus brilliant, the battery last much longer than my previous phone. The camera take good photos and videos and the screen display is pretty good for a person who doesn't see very well. Overall pretty good - I'm still learning what the phone can do.

This is my very first Android mobile as until now and for many years I have been a committed iPhone customer. I have heard good things about Samsung from friends and family and looking for a cheaper option when replacing my old and outdated iPhone I investigated what was available. I am very impressed with the A36 5G. It has a great battery life, a good range of aps, great storage and a much better camera than I thought it would have. Now with the new case and screen protector which I have added, it looks very smart indeed. I particularly liked the way I could transfer important content from my Iphone to my Samsung (which I was told would be very difficult - it was not) thanks to the very good Samsung software.

Everything has worked fine, apart from I would have liked there to be a separate port for the Charging unit as well as for the Earphones. I say this because I was recently on a Zoom Conference Call and I was running out of battery power in using the earphones. I ended up with 17% of Battery power. I had to buy a device from Amazon, as nether Samsung or Currys could supply a device into which you could plug the Charger & Earphones (ie. Inputs) and one Output for your phone.

I find it very average to other Samsung devices that I have owned. My main disappointment with it, is not all of the information was transferred from my old Samsung. This is the second time this also happened on my last update. As I am 76 I may not be around for the next update. As for the battery I find it the same more or less as the last. Display is a little bigger which helps. The camera is excellent. As for the Connectivity, I don't personally have enough knowledge to use it to it's full capacity. Though there's still a few poor connection spots. Performance wise, I have to say that it meets my requirements most of the time. Getting a half decent case would be much more helpful. I am just a mobile phone user.

Great phone on the whole. Bought it to replace a Samsung A70 which had unfortunately gone faulty. The A36 has many great features, ip rated, better camera with better editing features, much better storage and a higher amount of ram. The battery seems to last me at least two days between charging. Unfortunately it seems slower than my A70 and reception is not as good as the A70. Must be the ariel as both my wife and I have Samsung phones and both on O2 and at a recent festival she had good signal and I had none. Would of been 5 stars but for the signal issue.

I’ve had the Samsung A36 5G for a few weeks and it’s been great so far. The screen is bright and super smooth, and the phone feels fast and well made. Battery easily lasts all day, even when watching TV or streaming and the camera takes really nice photos in good light. It’s on the bigger side and there’s no wireless charging or SD card slot, but honestly, for the price, it’s hard to complain. Feels like a premium phone without the premium price tag. Definitely recommend it if you just want something reliable and modern without breaking the bank.

Genuinely, this is my first smartphone ever (thanks goes to Mimi Webb) & to be honest, it's baffling to start with but once I got use to apps instead of computer shortcuts, I was fine. There's still so much I've got to learn, but Gemini has helped & I'll get there. I can't say much about the battery, because I also bought a fast charger so it's charging every second it's not in use. The camera is really sharp & the display is the same. I've watched video's online & there were no issues at all. Overall & as a new phone, I have no complaints so far.

I bought this mobile to replace a higher spec Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 in order to get better battery life and higher res camera. After 2 weeks use I am really pleased - the battery life is 2 days 11 hours, the camera photo quality is better than Z Flip 5 and I have not noticed any real drop in performance with lower speed chipset. It's nice coming back to a hard screen display from the thin squishy Z Flip 5 screen - I really love this new mobile and would recommend to anyone who appreciates Samsungs OS but doesn't want to premium mobile prices

This is an upgrade on my A34.. Takes a little time to start everything off but happy to keep going with it. The camera is great - clear pics every time. Connectivity to broadband is not as good as A34 to be honest. I am struggling a little with it staying connected. However, I am trying it out and that is good. The battery certainly lasts a long time and does no need charging very often. The display is clear and precise. Not sure about performance as yet as only set it up last week despite having it for quite some time.

This his a very good device for the money but it doesn't come without some small glitches. Firstly, the camera is very good quality, both videos and photographs are of clear, high quality!! The battery is another strong point of the camera. The battery can last me 48 hours or more on a single charge with moderate daily use. One of my main issues with the device is it's slowness and tendency to freeze on a fairly frequent basis which slightly let's the performance down. The display is great and I often watch football and videos on the device with no issues with picture quality or streaming. The connectivity is sometimes temperamental with the 4g/5g dropping in and out, but this is have experienced with all my other phones too. Overall this phone is very good for a lower end/ budget Samsung device and I would recommend it. Prior to this phone I had a Samsung 22 ultra and the performance was superior with none of the aforementioned issues.

I needed a new phone as my a decade old iPhone couldn't update to the newest iOS and run most app anymore and wasn't getting security patches either. I wanted to switch to Android and went for Samsung, but just a "basic" range. Obviously, it blows my mind compared to an iPhone that's ten years old. So I'm very happy with all the "new shiny things" I get with just a "basic" Samsung, which was not even much more costly than the iPhone when I got it all those years ago (the iPhone was refurbished - while the Samsung is new).

I made the mistake of trying another brand of phone - suffice to say it was nothing like these wonderful Samsung phones. As soon as I bought this one all was well in the world once more. Just like my old Samsung phone - which I only replaced because the battery had seen better days. Would always highly recommend Samsung phones and won't be making the mistake of thinking that these days all phones must be similar again. The camera is brilliant. The display bright and clear. The phone it self feels great to hold, the camera isnt all theh best and the zoom gets worse, the gaming performance on iti is good, battery life is good, storage is good, a lot of time closing apps such as Facebook on the device leaves it playing in the background, even after closing t he apps completely, forcing a device restart to get back to original performance, overall if your a device person who expects a lot, this phone isnt for you, however it gets me through each day for what I need it for.

Bought this phone in the sale back in November and six months later I'm still very pleased with it. Good battery. Phone is easy to use and customise, especially if you're used to Samsung. Everything just works. Maybe half a centimetre bigger in the hand than I would like for comfort, but they're all big these days. The pearlised lime/yellow/white colour is a bit odd, wish I'd bought the ordinary white, but that's my own fault (can't see the colour with a case on anyway). Overall I still give 5 stars because it's an excellent phone at a good price. There's no reason to spend more on the A56 when this A36 is so good. Tip: You may want to buy a super-fast charger with the new USB-C oval hole if you haven't already got one. The phone charges even faster with that than with my old A52 charger.

Really like it so far. Had to buy a plug socket as USB c to USB c cable included. Seems to charge quickly and stay charged quite well. Still getting used to it but does what I want so far. Camera seems OK & lots of options I've not tried yet & sound on video is OK. Pretty colour & nice size. Lost a point as was expecting USB to USB c cable and I didn't have USB c socket and quick start only says how to put sim in & qr code takes you to Samsung to search for manual & took a bit of searching.

The phone is great, and does all I need. Two things I dislike though. The constant attempt by Bixby to try and make me use it. I DO NOT want it. There should be an option to turn it off. Secondly, when I want to copy and paste something it keeps offering to save it to Samsung Wallet with no option to do otherwise. I don't EVER use wallets on phones as I don't believe they are secure. All I want to do is Copy and Paste. There should be an option to decline Samsung wallet.

Every picture that you take with the camera adds to your recent file. Once these pictures are moved or copied into a new file, if you go back into recent file and delete the pictures it removes them from BOTH files? WHY? I have just changed from the A70 and this did not happen. Nobody else with a Samsung phone has even heard of this stupidity. Not happy at all, and i'm now stuck with this for 3 years! Come on Samsung, surely a company like you can come up with something?

Got a great deal on this Samsung A36 to replace my ageing A40 it was a birthday present so had to wait a few days to get my hands on it. Like the biometrics security on it the face recognition is good and the fingerprints work really well even through my Copike screen protector. Preferred the smaller size and lighter weight of my old A40 but the camera, speed, increased storage and better battery life more than compensate. Overall a good upgrade from my old A40.

This is my second Samsung Galaxy and I was eager to have a similar model to my old, dead one for ease of 'getting used to' and I am more than pleased with it. It was easy to set up, it transferred everything from my old phone effortlessly and is more than sufficient for my needs. Good camera, sound quality is very good. No headphone jack, but easy to get a little lead adaptor for that, so not a major issue, and affordable. Would definitely recommend.

When this phone was signposted to me by the telephony agent when renewing my O2 contract, I mentioned that I'd stopped using Samsung phones, as I had found that, in the past, the biometric screen unlock function to very hit and miss. The agent assured me that great improvements have been made by Samsung in this area in recent years and that biometric screen unlock was now working well. Unfortunately, this feature on Samsung phones does not seem to have improved much at all and I continue to receive the frustrating experience of the phone telling me that the face or fingerprint are not recognised. Other than that, when loading a screen on the phone or the internet, there can be a frustratingly long time until I can interact with the screen content (either clicking buttons or inputting text). Other than that, the phone is fine for a budget model.
