Here at Samsung, we offer placement opportunities to penultimate year students, on track to achieve a minimum 2:1. All of our opportunities start at the beginning of August 2018.

Location, location, location

All of our opportunities are based in Chertsey, Surrey. Our offices are located in beautiful grounds, and within easy reach of London. Our on-site restaurant serves a wide range of delicious meals, including South Korean and Western options.

Our Placement Opportunities

Sales

Much of Samsung’s success is down to our brilliant Sales teams. You’ll either be based in the field as a real hands-on member of the team, travelling across the UK winning clients and selling some of our most premium products. Or, you will be based at our head office taking part in strategic planning and marketing, which is vital to the success of our business. Our roles offer fantastic prospects for those interested in becoming Area Sales Managers and National Account Managers.

Marketing

At Samsung, Marketing is at the very heart of our business and plays a key role in ensuring our customers can love our brand and recognise our products. Our opportunities will give you unrivalled exposure to the business and will allow you to work on projects that determine how we portray our diverse product range. During your rotations, you’ll experience the different aspects of the Marketing mix, rotating around Digital, Channel, B2B and Brand.

Finance

Finance is integral to our business. Whether you’re based in Finance Operations, Commercial Finance, or Tax & Audit, you’ll be given responsibility and valuable insights into how our Finance teams support the continued success of the business. Our Finance opportunities require efficiency and accuracy, and to be considered you must be working towards a Maths, Economics or Accounting related degree.

Product Management

At Samsung we have an extremely diverse product range, across both B2B and consumer markets. Working in one of our Product Management teams will give you an insight into a variety of product areas, within our two largest divisions. You will have the opportunity to be involved in each stage of the product lifecycle, including product planning, forecasting and marketing.

Service Operations

At Samsung, our Service Operations team provides support to a variety of business areas. You could be working on projects involving business development, operations support and customer experience, that will affect both our internal operations and our customers. Your time in our Service Operations division could be spent working with our Contact Centre team, Digital Support team, B2B Network team or other subsidiaries across Europe to maximise customer satisfaction.

Sustainability & CSR

Our Sustainability & CSR teams work together to improve society by putting our wide product and solution range to good use in partnership with numerous organisations. At the same time, we are affected by a vast range of employment law, policies, and regulations, and deal with constantly changing client demands from customers and stakeholders. As a member of the team, you will be helping deliver world-class programmes to ensure Samsung is at the forefront of the industry.

HR

We recognise that people are our core asset and are central to Samsung’s success as a business. Our rotational programmes offer the opportunity to rotate around our Recruitment, Talent and Development, Reward and Generalist Business Partnering departments. You will gain invaluable insight into the different areas whilst making a difference and adding value throughout the organisation.

Technical

The Technical Product team manages the engineering and software aspects of all product launches within our IT & Mobile (IM) division. You will play a role in the launch of all IM products in the UK and could get involved in a variety of projects, from producing our ‘How To’ videos that accompany many of our launches, to ensuring that operators and networks approve all future Samsung IM products and features in the UK.
