As one of our placements, you’ll experience life in a corporate environment with handpicked development workshops. The one-year programme will help you navigate the early years of your career with us, supporting your transition from student to professional to give you the skills to perform at your best before returning back to university.
Our approach to learning extends far beyond the formal programme. We believe that your experience here should be ‘always-on’. You’ll have access to a suite of digital learning resources and find yourself fully supported along the way by our Learning & Development Team, your leaders and all the amazing people in our company.
On your first day, you’ll learn more about our brand and our cultural heritage in your ‘Welcome to Samsung’ on-boarding week. We’ll also share all the details of your one-year programme, and our expectations of you, so you get to know what’s in store along the way. We’ll check in with you regularly during this period, to make sure that you’re getting what you need from us.
In return, we ask that you look to continuously challenge yourself and look to learn and grow. We expect you to take an agile approach to your learning experience – looking to stretch yourself, be proactive and take on the feedback you receive along the way.

Our Placement OpportunitiesSales
Much of Samsung’s success is down to our brilliant Sales teams. You’ll either be based in the field as a real hands-on member of the team, travelling across the UK winning clients and selling some of our most premium products. Or, you will be based at our head office taking part in strategic planning and marketing, which is vital to the success of our business. Our roles offer fantastic prospects for those interested in becoming Area Sales Managers and National Account Managers.
At Samsung, Marketing is at the very heart of our business and plays a key role in ensuring our customers can love our brand and recognise our products. Our opportunities will give you unrivalled exposure to the business and will allow you to work on projects that determine how we communicate and engage consumers with our diverse product range. During your year with us you will gain hands on experience within our marketing teams including areas such as PR, digital and campaign.
Finance is integral to our business. Whether you’re based in Finance Operations, Commercial Finance, or Tax & Audit, you’ll be given responsibility and valuable insights into how our Finance teams support the continued success of the business. Our Finance opportunities require efficiency and accuracy, and to be considered you must be working towards a Maths, Economics or Accounting related degree.
At Samsung we have an extremely diverse product range, across both B2B and consumer markets. Working in one of our Product Management teams will give you an insight into a variety of product categories, within our two largest divisions. You will have the opportunity to be involved in each stage of the product lifecycle, including product planning, forecasting and marketing.
Samsung is much more than just great innovative products, it is about capturing the imagination of customers, fulfilling their expectations and genuinely connecting with them. The Customer Experience team works across all areas of the consumer and B2B business providing support online, through contact centres, in people’s homes and on the high street. Joining the Customer Experience team will provide you the opportunity to see everything about customer contact and be part of the support innovations which differentiates us as a brand.
The CSR team is responsible for deploying Samsung’s expertise and resources to make a positive impact on people’s lives and our communities. As a member of the CSR team, you will be working with multiple stakeholders on a daily basis to help deliver innovative programmes and partnerships that champion technology as a force for good.
We recognise that our people are our core asset and are critical to Samsung’s success. Our rotational programme offers the opportunity to rotate around our Recruitment, Learning and Development, Reward, Engagement and Communications and Business Partnering teams. You will gain invaluable insight into the different and specialist teams, working on important key projects and learning commercial skills whilst making a difference and adding value to our business.
The Technical Product team manages the engineering and software aspects of all product launches within our IT & Mobile (IM) division. You will play a role in the launch of all IM products in the UK and could get involved in a variety of projects, from producing our ‘How To’ videos that accompany many of our launches, to ensuring that operators and networks approve all future Samsung IM products and features in the UK.
