AI Hybrid Cooling
Save energy and enjoy lasting food freshness. AI Hybrid Cooling combines a high-efficiency compressor and a Peltier element, which can operate separately or together. It works efficiently using the most appropriate power source and by learning and adjusting its performance to suit your usage patterns. And it can maintain a constant temperature* under any circumstances, so it helps preserves the natural taste and texture of food for a long time.
* Based on internal testing. AI Hybrid Cooling’s precise temperature control ensures that the temperature variation is only ±0.3°C, compared to a conventional system that varies by ±0.5°C. When defrosting the internal temperature only increases by 1°C, compared to a conventional system that increases by +3°C.

Enjoy a rapid cooling performance to chill beverages and food or create ice. At the touch of a button, Power Cool blows intensely cold air into the fridge. So it can quickly cool your groceries when you get back from shopping or chill your favourite drinks. And when you push the Power Freeze button it delivers a fast blast of cold air into the freezer. It’s great for fast freezing or firming up frozen food, like ice cream, and making ice.

SmartThings Energy* provides helpful tips on how to be more energy efficient and will notify you if your smart appliances** are accidentally left on. SmartThings Home Care
Monitor and take care of your refrigerator easily. SmartThings Home Care*, provides real-time monitoring and alerts. You can check on the refrigerator’s status, including the condition of the water filter and how often the door is opened. It also automatically notifies you if parts need replacing or possible problems are detected, such as spillage from the Autofill Pitcher, and suggests a solution to solve them.

AI Inverter Compressor
Keep food consistently cool and save energy. The new high-efficiency AI Inverter Compressor’s improved structure increases the radius of the rotating parts. Its increased inertia, which is 4.1x higher than a Samsung conventional compressor*, means it can operate for longer using less energy. Using an AI algorithm, it also adjusts the speed of the compressor to suit the user’s usage patterns and save energy**. The compressor’s durability is also backed-up by a 20 year warranty.
