Why can’t I turn on my vacuum cleaner in the SmartThings app?

Updated : 22nd September, 2026

If your Samsung vacuum cleaner appears offline in the SmartThings app, it may have lost its connection to your Wi-Fi network or Clean Station. This can usually be resolved by reconnecting the device.

To reconnect the device:

1 Open the SmartThings app
SmartThings app logo.
2 Tap Devices > Check whether your vacuum cleaner is shown as “Offline”
SmartThings home screen with “Devices” highlighted.
3 If it is offline, reconnect the wireless router to the Clean Station by following the instructions in the SmartThings app section of your vacuum cleaner's user manual
4 Once the connection has been re-established, return to the SmartThings app to confirm that your vacuum cleaner is back online
5 If the vacuum cleaner still appears offline after reconnecting, try restarting your Wi-Fi router and the Clean Station before re-attempting connection
