How to use button functions on the Galaxy XR

The Galaxy XR features two physical buttons: the Top button and the Volume Down button. Each button supports different functions depending on how you press it, such as a single press, double press or press and hold. You can also customise the Top button to quickly access your preferred feature or app. Find out how to use these functions by following the steps below.
How to configure the Top button
To change the function of the Top button:

Open Settings > Select Advanced features

Select Top button

Select Long press

Select the option you wish to assign to the “Long press” action
How to use default button functions
Top button
- When the device is off, press and hold the Top button to turn it on
- Press the Top button once to open the launcher
- Press the Top button twice to open the Camera app
- Press the Top button three times to start an eye tracking calibration
- Press and hold the Top button to open the digital assistant you have configured
Top button and Volume Down button
- Press the Top button and Volume Down button simultaneously to take a screenshot
- Press and hold the Top button and Volume Down button simultaneously to turn off the device
