How to use super fast charging on Galaxy S23 Ultra, S23+ & S23 5G
The S23 is designed with convenience in mind and super fast charging is a key part of delivering that experience. To ensure you are able to make the most of the S23’s rapid charging capability read on and find out the requirements for super fast charging.
How to turn on Super fast charging
S23 devices have a built-in fast and Super fast charging feature. To activate this feature, follow the steps below:
Please note: This option will enable super fast charging if a super fast charger is being used.
Please note: While charging, you cannot activate or deactivate this feature.
To ensure you maximise charging efficiency, turn your device screen off. While the phone is charging, a lightning symbol will display on the cover screen.
What charger and cable are needed
The S23 supports fast, super fast, and wireless charging.
To use fast charging, a charging cable that supports adaptive fast charging with a capacity of 25 watts is required.
To use super-fast charging, a charging cable that supports adaptive fast charging with a capacity of 45 watts is required - 45W TA + 5A cable (E-marked).
Please note: The standard S23 only supports 25W charging.
You will also need a 45W Travel Adapter. Super-fast charging cannot be performed using standard chargers. We recommend using the USB Type-C, 5A charging cable that comes with the 45w charger.
